Quinta Colina By Shiadu

From the moment we arrived the staff were warm and hospitable. Nothing was too much troublle. The rooms were clean and well kitted, however one of the rooms was on the small size when accommodating two sizeable suit cases. The breakfast variety and quality of freshly homemade produce was exceptional and the cherry on top. Freshly made eggs to order and unlimited hot and cold drinks throughout the stay. I cannot recommend this hotel and family of hotels highly enough.

Overall had a great stay. A ton to like about this place - staff are absolutely wonderful, location is amazing (walking distance to everything but a bit out of the fray up the hill), solid breakfast, view from my room was unexpected and spectacular. Only slight con - the room (and the property in places) is looking slightly worse for wear and is maybe getting to need refurb. Felt a bit more like a 3 star than a 4 star hotel. But! Still great, and a really great value,

We had a lovely stay at Quinta Colina boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived the team made us feel truly welcome — Helena, Ricardo and Bruna were especially wonderful: friendly, warm and always smiling. They gave excellent advice on places to visit, routes to take and restaurant recommendations, which made exploring the area so much easier and more enjoyable. The hotel itself feels authentic and full of charm. The views from the upper terrace are amazing and became our favourite spot to relax with a coffee and plan the day. Our room was perfectly suited to our needs: very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for a restful stay. Breakfast each morning was a real treat too — a great selection of options that set us up perfectly for the day’s adventures. The location is excellent, in a local neighbourhood that’s central and very walkable to the main sights and transport links. We loved wandering the streets during the day. Street lighting is poor at night and there can sometimes be a few unsavoury characters loitering on the pavement and steps, so it’s wise to take a taxi if you’re returning late. During daylight hours we felt perfectly safe and enjoyed exploring on foot. All in all, Quinta Colina offered a warm, authentic boutique experience with outstanding staff and lovely views — we’d happily stay again.

What a lovely stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and the food was consistently delicious. Our room was on the cozy side but well-equipped with everything we needed — comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. I absolutely loved the roof terrace and the charming little outdoor space; they were perfect spots to relax and soak up the atmosphere. I also really appreciated the hotel’s effort to reduce food waste by leaving extra food out for guests to take — a small touch that says a lot about their care and values. Highly recommended!
