Portugal Boutique Hotel

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We are a family of five and had two rooms. They were able to connect with a bigger door in the hallway so we had two rooms, two bathrooms and lots of space. They provided a cot for our third child and they said it was actually quite comfy. The bathrooms were very large and very clean. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast included in our stay. It was small but we all managed to find enough to fill us for the morning. The cappuccinos were delicious. We really enjoyed the location. We did not have any noise in our room and we all slept wonderfully.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our anniversary trip. The room was beautiful and more spacious than most comparable properties I have stayed at in Europe. The concierge staff was friendly, spoke perfect English, and were always ready to jump into action to help you have a better experience. Everything was clean. The facilities (air conditioning, hot water, etc.) all worked without issue. The location was excellent—less than 5 minutes walking from the Rossio train station and the Rossio metro stop. It was also very easy to walk down to Baixa or Alfama. We are very happy and have no complaints at all. We would encourage anyone to stay here!

Great hotel! Very clean, modern and nice. Location was great if you turned right but if you turned left it was somewhat older (slightly sketchy especially at night). Very central otherwise!!! I enjoyed my stay here with my husband a lot - the bathrooms were really nice and equipped with robes. The staff were really helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious in the morning and worth it!! Overall, I’d come back and stay here again for sure!

Our stay at Hotel Portugal was absolutely outstanding from beginning to end. The staff went above and beyond in every way possible, making this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel was impeccably clean—without a doubt the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed in. Every area was spotless and exceptionally well maintained. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a wonderful variety of fresh, high-quality options. What truly sets Hotel Portugal apart is its incredible staff and commitment to guest service. We had an early morning flight and needed to catch an Uber at 3:00 a.m. Two staff members actually stood outside with us to ensure our driver arrived at the correct location and that we got safely on our way. That level of care and attention is rare and deeply appreciated. Their assistance didn’t stop there. We had shipped boxes home from Lisbon, but one shipment was rejected because it contained a bottle of perfume. The package was returned to the hotel, and the staff kindly removed the perfume, re-packed the box, and arranged to have it shipped back to us. They handled the entire situation with professionalism, kindness, and a genuine desire to help. The customer service at Hotel Portugal is simply exceptional. The staff consistently went far beyond what would normally be expected, turning potential problems into stress-free solutions. If you’re visiting Lisbon, I cannot recommend Hotel Portugal highly enough. Outstanding service, outstanding cleanliness, outstanding breakfast, and truly outstanding people. We will absolutely stay here again.
