I would rate this 4.5 out of 5. The location is excellent- virtually in the heart of Lisbon. Service is great- they got me complementary coffee at 4.30 am in the morning. Rooms were romantic and charming- no complaints. Major drawback was the price. Room didn’t have tea or coffee satchets or a water heater as is common in other five star hotels. Additionally, although a five star hotel, it didn’t have a gym - not that I particularly wanted me. But I thought all five star hotels do. Overall, very pleasant but a little pricey.

This was such a beautiful hotel. It took us back in time. Such a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast every morning was freshly made upon request. The pool was very refreshing. They had small buttons located everywhere so if you needed anything, all you had to do was hit the button and someone would come running. The team was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us. There is no elevators. So if you have big suitcases or having a hard time with steps, you may want to rethink staying. There is no parking garage, which was the only downfall for us since we rented a car. The parking instructions were very confusing and we ended up in the bus lane! Thank God, we didn’t kill anybody. The location is on quiet street and very close to everything. We did a ton of walking and were able to see everything we wanted to. Highly recommend this beautiful mansion. It will be an elegant stay and you will talk about it for years to come.
I had a wonderful stay at Palácio Ramalhete. The hotel has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and with only 18 rooms, it feels quiet, private, and very special. Everything was spotless, and the staff was warm, professional, and always happy to help. One of the highlights was the breakfast -it was freshly prepared from the menu and served at the table, which made every morning feel special. The pool area is beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Lisbon. I highly recommend Palácio Ramalhete to anyone looking for a charming boutique hotel with outstanding service. I would definitely stay here again.
Tucked away on a quiet Lisbon street lined with embassies, I appreciated Palácio Ramalhete the moment I stepped inside. Rather than replacing the old with the new, lots of historic details have been kept, and celebrated. High ceilings, original features and a sense of grandeur that feels completely authentic. There's no unnecessary (or ugly) modernisation, just a beautifully preserved palace that lets its history speak for itself and still offers all necessities you need these days. The neighborhood is a lovely bonus, it has great coffee spots nearby and is a great base for exploring Lisbon. A special mention for team member Subash, whose attentiveness made the stay even more memorable. For anyone who appreciates history, character and a hotel that feels like a discovery, Palácio Ramalhete is it.
We stayed at this hotel for four nights as a family. The place is truly charming and beautifully decorated; as its name suggests, it really feels like a small private palace. We stayed in the suites overlooking the pool, which was a lovely setting. One of the main positives is the location: it is in a quiet neighborhood while still being close to the city center. The staff were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was also excellent, with high-quality products and an à la carte service that we really appreciated. However, there were a few downsides. The suites had quite a lot of humidity, which created an unpleasant smell. Some of the equipment also felt rather old and not always well maintained — for example, the bathtub faucets and a towel rack were broken. In addition, the swimming pool did not seem to be cleaned daily, so there were quite a few insects in the water. It’s a pity, because aside from these points the hotel has great potential and could easily offer a nearly perfect experience.
