We stayed 4 nights in the Novotel Lisboa. We had a great time there and spent most of our days sightseeing .The location was great and was right next to various public transport locations and was really easy to get around with (can reach the city center within 20-30 minutes).Hotel staff were really warm and friendly especially Gonçalo who was super helpful in planning our trips to sintra. He was very friendly and definitely made our trip a 10/10.He even helped us with daytrips in Albufeira which is where we went to after. Overall a great guy and one of the nicest people i've ever talked to. Novotel Lisboa is a great place to stay, arguably the best ,and we can see ourselves coming back again soon. Thank you Novotel Lisboa

We stayed as a family in a family room. It's quite nicely done—not very big, but definitely family-friendly. Gonçalo was great at check-in, very helpful, and gave me tips for excursions—and he did it all in very good English. Thank you! Parking isn’t easy but I managed to get my 5,11m long BMW down two floors and parked. Try to get here early in the afternoon to get a spot. Hotel is being renovated but that didn’t bother us too much, since we went exploring in the city anyways. And there is a beautiful masjid in walking distance to the hotel.
During our arrival and stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations. This had been mentioned on the hotel’s website, but the lobby was essentially a construction site. Being welcomed amid the noise of angle grinders and power saws is not exactly the best way to start a holiday. We also found the staff to be inconsistent in their professionalism. We had several experiences that genuinely left me speechless. For example, I was asked to leave a table in the lobby on two separate occasions, even after I had already been sitting there for fifteen minutes. The breakfast buffet was probably the biggest disappointment. There was a huge queue just to get a table, and the dining area was extremely crowded. That said, I could clearly see that the staff were working incredibly hard to make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible. The room itself was fine and looked modern. Unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t working. We’ll be giving this hotel a miss next time.
After staying in many Airbnbs over the years, this hotel has completely changed our perspective. We will definitely choose hotels like this in the future. The hospitality at Novotel Lisboa was truly exceptional. From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by Melissa at the reception. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth immediately made us feel at home and set the tone for an unforgettable stay. Throughout our stay, both our children and we as parents felt genuinely cared for. We felt seen, welcomed, and at the same time given the space to simply relax and enjoy our vacation. A heartfelt thank you to Carol, Luca, Duda, Alexandre, Paulo, and Patricia. B. A very special thank you to Jesus, who elevated our entire experience. His remarkable attentiveness, elegance, and dedication added a level of class and luxury that is rare to find. Although Novotel Lisboa offers excellent value, his outstanding service made us feel like guests in a true luxury hotel. Every one of them was attentive, thoughtful, and professional, with exactly the right balance of humor and genuine hospitality. Their warmth and dedication made our stay truly special. We have high expectations when it comes to service, which makes it even more remarkable that this team exceeded all of them. Returning home will only make us appreciate even more how exceptional our experience here was. Thank you to the entire team for creating such wonderful memories. We highly recommend Novotel Lisboa and cannot wait to return!
How this hotel rates 4 stars is beyond me. Perhaps the ugly pool helped, but certainly not the restaurant, bar or furnishings. Stained dirty carpets everywhere, noisy renovations we were not informed about. Rooms are reasonably clean and well equipped with fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing pads. Big bathroom with tropical shower head plentiful hot water and pressure. Breakfast is average for a 4-star. Service is hit and miss. All the tables in the bar area were set for dinner god knows why with few diners most nights. At 9:30 no one was eating most there to watch the World Cup games and have a drink but that didn’t stop the hostess directing like a prison warden try to chase customers off to the less view-worthy environs. Maybe they should set the tables when needed rather than setting the whole bar and dining area then breaking down the unused settings every night! Not a good example of accommodating hospitality. Location is ok but a 7-10 minute walk (and 100+ stairs) to/from the blue metro. Save yourself some trouble and stay at the beautiful Sana across the street every bit a 4-star with a great restaurant and bar.
