Lisbon Colours Bairro Alto Apartments

Loved my stay! Staff was accommodating and the location felt very safe. They are doing construction in front of the apartment which narrows some of the street, but no big deal. One of the servers at the breakfast restaurant (Aldeia), Nirmala, was amazing! Loved her energy and attentiveness. Would definitely return!

Second time staying at Lisbon colours apts. Still a great choice. Well equipped, nicely decorated, clean, quiet rooms no street noise. Improved buffet breakfast, lovely service with Nirmala. Recommend

The apartment itself it quite nice. It has plenty of space to feel comfortable with a kitchenette, living and dining rooms, bath, and bedroom. The bathroom is quite nice but could benefit from an extending magnifying mirror because the counter is deep making it difficult to put in contacts or apply makeup. The staff were exceptional. Their communication was responsive and helpful. They arranged transportation for us from the train station and to the airport. We left at 4 AM, and they provide a simple snack for us to take along, which we appreciated. The location of the apartment is the only negative. I didn't care about the street construction; that was not the fault of the proprietors, but the apartment is located in a very noisy area with many bars that stay open until at least 3 AM, and there were loud (drunk) people in the street past 4 AM. Walking back from dinner each night, we were entreated by numerous bars to "come have a shot." I would not have felt comfortable at all if I wasn't with my husband, and I wouldn't want to bring young children here. That being said, when the windows in our apartment were closed, they blocked out all but the merriest of party revelers. So if you're okay with staying in a party scene, you will have a very nice stay.

It's a hotel but the rooms are full apartments including a sitting area, dinner table and full kitchen on top of the usual bed and bathroom. They are cleaned every day, well maintained, interestingly decorated, and have room service. Breakfast is included, its not great but good enough. The reception is open 24/7 so no issues checking in late, can always ask questions etc. It is located in the Bairro Alto neighbourhood, which is recommended for its nightlife with Portugese restaurants, bars, etc. but inside the apartments its always quiet.
