Hall Chiado

First off you can't really beat the location, so if that's all that's important this is a good place for you. The service is okay because there's a two hour, maybe three, window each day where they'll clean the room etc. There's no front desk and no other services so it's not a 4 star like people in other parts of the world might think. The room is very small as expected but it works. The major downsides were the bed is not comfortable and you basically get one thin pillow. There's also not really a window as you have to keep the door covered and locked to minimize any noise. On that last note is why we didn't really have the best experience. It was super loud each night especially on the weekends. We're talking screaming, whistling, blaring music, etc until 5 AM for the entire night. It made rest and recovery very difficult.

Nothing wrong with the room and it's clean but a very very basic room for the price we paid (over 150EUR per night). The window opens into a small alley and is right next to someone else's home/window.

We stayed for two regrettable nights. First impression was good as the rooms seemed relatively clean and the location seemed good. Our opinions quickly changed after the first jet lag night of sleep I woke up with 1-2 welts on my ankles but didn't pay too much attention to them. After the second night myself and my entire family had bites all over our legs/ankles (yuck). Thankfully we were checking out and none too soon. Additionally sleeping is tough b/c it's loud and the night life stays up until very early in the morning and there are many patrons on the street in the early hours. There are better places than this in Lisbon.

A great place for a quick stay in Lisbon. The room was small but we were expecting that and it suited our needs for our short time. Clean and comfortable. We slept fine but I agree with others' comments that you do hear noise from the hallway and the beeping pinpads as night owls return to their rooms. We liked having the security of the code to enter the building and our room though! And the water in the entryway was a thoughtful touch. Central and safe area to stay and we could easily walk all over!
