Evolution Lisboa Hotel

Wonderful stay!! Highly recommend for location , quality of rooms and very nice staff. The front desk allowed me to check in super early and also offered me breakfast. Thank you Evolution for making my 1st Lisbon trip wonderful. I felt welcomed a great way to kick off a visit to a new city. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

The hotel markets itself as a 4-star property and actively sells rooms with a city view. The reality was completely different. The air conditioning is so weak it cannot handle Lisbon's normal summer temperature of +30°C. On top of that, staff themselves recommend keeping the blackout curtains closed all day to prevent the room from overheating. So the hotel charges extra for a city view — and then asks you to cover it up. This is misleading advertising. The toilet is separated from the room only by a door full of large gaps — no soundproofing, no privacy whatsoever. At breakfast, tables were never cleared and we had to ask staff to make space just to sit down. Mold was found in the pool. Cleaning in the room was poor. When we raised complaints, staff refused to help and told us this is an "eco-friendly hotel without motors." That is not an explanation — it is an excuse. Reception staff were rude and sarcastic in response to legitimate concerns. The hotel is visually beautiful — that is the only thing that lives up to its rating. Everything else falls far short of 4-star standards. Be prepared: what is advertised and what you actually get here are two very different things.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The service is impeccable, and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. The room is well equipped and comfortable, with thoughtful details that make everything convenient, from the placement of the power outlets to the complimentary bottled water. The hotel is in a great location, close to a metro station on the same line as the airport, making it easy to get there and to reach the city's main attractions. To make my stay even more special, they surprised me with a cheesecake and a lovely card on my birthday. The whole experience felt like staying at a Disney hotel (I'd even say it was better). When I return to Lisbon, I'll definitely stay here again.

This is a very modern hotel in heart of town. The service was efficient and friendly on arrival. Rooms were clean and spacious. The meals were tasty. Breakfast was fair nothing spectacular. Location was good. We enjoyed the Turkish bath and sauna. We enjoyed our stay.
