I stayed in an upgraded room and loved it. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom and shower were excellent, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and the whole place is so cute. The only small inconvenience is that cars cannot drive right up to the front of the hotel, so handling luggage takes a bit more effort. Otherwise everything was great.

This was an awesome experience. Great location near a lot to do and yet parked in a quiet part of town. Great first experience in Lisbon. Although it’s a hotel you feel like you’re living in the neighborhood. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. A very communal feel. I love it and wish more places were like it. Will definitely return.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily recommend it to others. A special thank you goes to Helena and Carla, who truly made our experience unforgettable. Their friendliness, helpful tips, and great sense of humor created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for, and their kindness added a personal touch that we will remember for a long time. Thanks to them, our visit was not just a stay, but a lovely experience filled with great memories.
Be cautious of the type of room you book here because it will impact the quality of your stay, that is if you decide to even book it... -- the one bedroom apartment is one of the worst stays I've had in Portugal, let alone Europe. I took a Bolt from the airport and apparently they're not authorized to drive on the street the hotel is located so you will have to walk up a very steep cobble hill road that is not friendly with wheeled luggages. There is also no help with luggages when you approach the hotel because it's gated and they only have one person working at a time. There was no communication that the one bedroom apartment is in a completely separate building outside of their courtyard, on a 3rd floor walk up with the narrowest staircase. The receptionist was an older woman and we both struggled to get the luggages up there. There is no one else who works there to help. The apartment is dated, needs renovation, the AC is extremely dusty (I couldn't breathe well), and although the living space is a comfortable size the bathroom is the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room. Mind you, I'm, 1.57m tall and small and I struggled to stay within the shower, the water splashes everywhere, when you're sitting on the toilet your feet are literally in the shower, the shower curtain was dirty, there was hair in the shower, and the door doesn't open well. (I wish I had a picture of the bathroom with water everywhere after a 5 minute shower). The refrigerator was noisy all day (needs maintenance), and there was loud street noise between 12-2am with dogs barking, drunk people partying on the street despite other reviews saying it was quiet. Again, it depends if you're inside the courtyard or in an outside building. I asked the receptionist if the AC could be cleaned, she said she put a note in for it the next day but I didn't receive any communication. No follow ups in person, by phone, or email, just radio silence. There is literally no communication between staff and customer. I ended up cleaning it myself as much as I could. Needless to say, I basically had a sleepless first night. All the issues were too much and I requested to switch rooms. Honestly, I would have moved hotels but it was too much of a hassle for a 4 day stay. They moved me into a deluxe room in the courtyard the next day, it was better, quieter, and feels safer but it's still musty in here and there's a lot of wear and tear in the rooms, including the courtyard. It just doesn't look like this place is well kept. The only decent part of this hotel is the breakfast, but if a meal is the only thing worth talking about, I'd rather stay somewhere else and get food at a cafe. When I expressed all the issues to the Shiadu team, their 'customer care' agent named Paula responded with nothing helpful. All I got in response that they took note of the observations and basically was like well we moved you into another room, what else do you want. I think it's horrible that I paid much more for the one bedroom apartment and the Shiadu team didn't even offer a price adjustment for a tinier room, let alone the inconvenience of wasting time on my vacation, energy to move all my things from the 3rd floor walk up, and a sleepless night. I'm actually very disappointed in the lack of customer care from this hotel group. I would not recommend staying here if you enjoy a peaceful stay and want a headache free visit to Lisbon.
The location is excellent. The city center, the pub district, and the harbor are all within easy walking distance. A fantastic viewpoint overlooking the harbor is located right next to the hotel. The courtyard is a wonderful place to relax, and coffee—along with other beverages—is available all day long from a fully automatic machine. The rooms are small, but functionally furnished. However, depending on the specific room, access is via a very steep staircase. The breakfast is superb, the rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly.
