Ultimate Comfort: Lima To Huacachina, Ballestas And Vineyard

Our guide, Rudi was very hospitable and knowledgeable. The drive was clean & comfy. The boat tour in the morning was interesting bt very cold. Afterwards the buggy ride was soooo fun & a real adrenaline rush with all the bumps and steep slopes. Food for lunch wasn't inclusive but it was yummy & the servings were massive! We topped off with the pisco tour which we enjoyed very much. I blv our guide was juan. We left with 3 bottles of pisco!

The Driver (Martin) and tour guide (Jonathan) were amazing and took care of us the whole trip. Jonathan Had very good knowledge about everything we wanted to know about. As this was a personal tour we could even plan individual stops like watching the sunset at the beach... This was no issue at all. Everything was perfect and we couldnt have asked for more. Absolutly recommended.

My son and I went on a private tour with Ayman from Lima to Huacachina Balestras Islands and the Reserve -- and then dropped us off that night downtown Lima to catch the magic color water fountains. They customized it slightly to skip the winery as we weren't interested. From the moment they picked us up from our hotel, I was given a masters level class in Peru. (they asked if I wanted it.. or wanted to sleep!) The entire day I learned abut the people, the culture, the geography, food, politics, etc. I asked questions, they asked questions. By the end of the trip I wanted to invite them to my home in the US -- it was that type of rapport and friendship that resulted from the entire day. The icing on the cake was when we arrived at the Oasis, and after having lunch together we were to ride the sand buggies. It is an insane climb up the dunes to get to the cars, and I knew I couldn't make it as I have mobility issues. But Ayman talked with the company and had the car come much closer so I wouldn't have to miss the opportunity. It was one of the happies experience in my life to be able to do excursion, be out on the dunes, and have someone advocate for me. When I go back to Peru -- I'm already planning another trip, travel buddies will by the agency that I choose without question.

We had such an amazing time on this tour! It is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, starting off taking a boat ride to see the wildlife on the Ballestas Islands, then going to the Huacachina Oasis for dune bugging and sand boarding, and finally going to the pisco winery for some amazing food and fantastic drinks! Aymen, our guide, went above and beyond to make our experience special, including giving the best food/drink recommendations and stopping so we could see wild flamingos during our drive! He was so knowledgeable and taught us a lot about life in Peru during our drive, which only added to the experience. Highly recommend booking this tour!

We had an excellent tour experience with our guide Rudy and driver Rodolfo. We learned a lot about Perú’s culture and history. The ride went smooth; Rodolfo is a careful driver. Rudy made sure we were attended speedily in the Ballestas Islands’ tour were we boarded a motorboat with other tourists, and was there waiting for us when we returned. The boat trip was superb- got to see many different birds and sea lions. The buggy ride in Huacachina was a lot of fun; safe riding. Lunch went well with typical food at a nearby restaurant. Wine & pizco tasting was interesting. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

This day starts early, around 4:30 a.m., because of the travel time involved. No worries, however, as there are plenty of opportunities for a break. If you go with Travel Buddies Peru, you'll be treated like royalty--they use their own private transport which sure beats a big tour bus. It was perfect. The boat trip from Paracas out to the Ballestas Islands is stunning--nothing will prepare you for the beauty of the rocky islands, the birds, penguins, and sea lions and fur seals. At Huacachina, you'll climb a sand dune for a little bit until you reach the area where the dune buggies are located. Each cart seats about 10 people; once one is full, out you go into the magnificent, gorgeous sand dunes around the Huacachina oasis. The dune buggies ride is not for the faint of heart--it's likely wilder than any roller coaster you've ever been on, but wow was it fun! If you'd like, the driver also carries "surfboards" to slide down the dunes for a while during a stop along the way. Finally, enjoy the beautiful vineyards and products at a top-class winery. If you're hungry, they have an excellent restaurant serving a wide variety of local cuisine (and cuisine only found in southern parts of Peru). The staff at the winery and distillery will offer lots of great information about the distillation process for making pisco, and you'll get the chance to sample many different kinds (and wine also). I do highly recommend having some lunch in their restaurant before the presentation of the wines and piscos. My guide for the day was Aymen--he's one of the best guides and buddies you could ever find. Not only is he a knowledgeable and capable professional, he treats you with care with lots of attention to detail. He made sure I was comfortable and happy during the ENTIRE day, and we spent 14 hours together! You want someone like him helping you out. He is also an excellent, safe driver in a very nice SUV. He speaks several languages fluently, including Spanish, French, English and Arabic. In short, if you have an extra day in Lima, make sure not to miss out on this exciting tour! I love how well I was taken care of by Travel Buddies during my time in Peru.

What an excellent choice and travel partners! Miguel and Carlos were the best companions, caring and helpful. We travelled together for more than 15h visiting the beautiful and diverse habitat of Ballestas islands, the thrilling and fun Huacachina oasis and the Pisco tasting. It was one of the most comfortable trips and this was due to our guides (and a great, sparkling clean car!). Miguel was knowledgeable, caring like a friend and Carlos was the most calm and smiling driver. They gave the most positive, friendly energy, totally recommend them! This tour was great! I was a solo female traveler and the only one on the tour, but felt completely safe the entire time. My guide, Aymen, was fantastic. He made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They planned ahead and thought of everything so no waiting in lines as reservations were already made for the boat, dune buggy, and lunch/pisco tasting. Aymen picked me up on time and explained the day ahead, offered to take pictures whenever I wanted, and we stopped for coffee on the way since we had a 4:30a start. Arrived back to the hotel around 7p. The Ballestas Island boat ride was my favorite part (saw penguins, sea lions, dolphins). Huacachina oasis was cool and a great photo opportunity. The sand boarding/dune buggy part was only an hour and felt rushed, but was still fun. The dune buggy ride is rough and the seatbelts aren’t the best, so just be prepared to bounce around! Lunch was great and the pisco tasting was fun. Highly recommend Travel Buddies!

We had an amazing day! Aymen was the best tour guide we could’ve asked for. He was full of interesting information and recommendations and always so helpful every step of the way. He made our experience feel like we were just visiting our local friend and him showing us around his home. Every part of the trip was perfect. It was the best start to our time in Peru. I highly recommend using Travel Buddies Perú. My husband and I booked a private tour thinking it would be a small group of people. To our surprise, the tour was for us only. Jacie and Aymen picked us up at the hotel and took us on what would be the most unforgettable, and unique experience we have ever experienced. Jacie and Aymen treated us like family. We had purchased the package of Islas Ballestas, winery tour and Huacachina with the sand dunes. The Islas Ballestas and winery were closed to the public, but they took us to different places to make up for the closures. Love these two, you can't go wrong with them

This trip was the highlight of our long weekend in Lima! Pablo was the best guide I've ever had in my travels. He was knowledgeable, flexible, friendly, and a great driver. The highlight of the trip is hard to chose but the dune buggies were my favorite. Our pick up was at 4:20am and we returned to the hotel by 7pm (our tour was just the 2 in my party, no others). Don't let the early pick up deter you. It's well worth it for all that's packed into this day and there is time to rest during the car rides

I did the full day tour of Ballestas, Huacachina, and Pisco vineyard with Pablo. Well worth the early wake up and long drive. Pablo kicked off the tour with some interesting information about Lima and its neighborhoods as we were driving out of the city. Loved his calm demeanor. Ballestas and Huacachina are a great mix of fun activities and sightseeing. And the Pisco tastings and delicious meal at La Catador are a perfect ending. I highly recommend this tour!

We spent the whole day on the tour, it was really entertaining, we saw the Islas Ballestas, The Pizco Route, and finally we went to the Huacachina Oasis, he also took us to a restaurant on the Oasis, it had really good food.

Beyond amazing tour! Personal, interactive, very informative, and professional. The company picks you up and drives you around in your own personal vehicle. My guide Jacie and her husband were excellent English speaking guides which made my experience. I would highly recommend this company and tour! Very safe and good price for what was included.

The guide picked me up at 04:15am by calling me to my room at the hotel front desk. There were only three of us: a couple from the USA and me. We began our journey by heading to Pisco in a comfortable car on the Pan-American Highway. The landscape was unusual and beautiful. I had never seen anything like this on other continents (Europe, Africa, Asia). During the day, when we were driving from point to point, we could see totally different environments. We also saw what life in the country looks like and what people do here. On the road to Paracas, our guide unexpectedly stopped the car and pointed at the coastline: there were about 100 flamingos! You must be observant during the trip so as not to miss such things. I don't remember the name of our guide, it was new for me. But he definitely likes to do his job! If you are reading this, thank you so much for the trip, the conversations, and the stories about Lima and the places where we were! The timing is crucial for this trip, and your day will be very eventful. That the event starts early may be convenient for travelers from Europe. Ballestas, Huacachina & Pisco Winery are wonderful places! If you are going to Peru, or you just have a free day in Lima, I recommend you to take exactly this tour, and you will not be disappointed!

We had a great trip with Pablo. He’s a very nice guide/buddy. The tour was very personal, since it only was the three of us. Travelbuddies operates with fewer guests, which makes the tour more personal. The cartrip was long, but i didnt feel that long because we talked and Pablo gave us plenty of information about Peru and the tour. We came too early for the boattrip and instead of waiting Pablo took us to a beautiful beach. He is a very passionated guide. There might be cheaper tours, but not as good as this one. Alfonso was a great guide. He made the trip special and gave us a lot of information on top to the places we visited. The sand buggy and boarding were lots of fun. The pelicans, penguins and sea lions cool to watch. I also liked that we saw the candelero lines of the shore. It gives you an idea about the Nazca lines. I definitely recommend the day trip.

We booked this tour very last minute not knowing what to expect....little did we know that our day spent with Caesar was going to be the highlight of our South American adventure! A week and a half later and we're still talking about the fantastic day we had exploring the deserts and piscos of Peru with Caesar. He was professional from the very outset, but warm, funny and informative too. We learned more about Peruvian life and culture in one day spent with Caesar than we did in two weeks travelling by ourselves. I can only highly recommend this trip with Caesar and if we had the opportunity we'd jump at the chance to go on another tour with him...he was brilliant! It was a long tour with a lot of driving but the experiences and fun we had on the tour made the day fly by. This was one of the best tours we have ever done and we'd like to thank Caesar and Travel Buddies Peru...you're the best!!

Wonderful tour: Unforgettable ballestas, Huacachina - beautiful and buggy oasis with plenty of adrenaline, and don't miss to slip through the dunes, on the delicious sandboard. Finally, Vineyard - after the heat of the desert, the freshness of lunch under the trees and the tasting of the various types of Pisco. Passeio Maravilhoso!!!

The day before in the afternoon we received the confirmation with information about our guide, the next day with the activities we were going to do and the time we will be picked up at the hotel. Our guide Aymen arrived 10 minutes early, he immediately put us in the bath of the day, smiling and very nice. We were able to talk about what we would do, but also about all the cultural aspects of beautiful Peru. He knew how to be at our disposal, put us at ease, and we could take a break at any time if we needed to go to the bathroom for example. We then participated in the discovery of the Ballet Islands as beautiful as incredible with its wildlife and its Faure of another world! Waw, L'Oasis was amazing Buddy and Sand Snowboarding ride, really great! We ended the day with a delicious lunch with our guide who recommended delicious dishes and tasted the famous Peruvian drinks: shisha. An excellent Pisco/Cream of Pisco tasting was made to hatch this incredible day. We each bought a cream of Pisco at Lucuma under the recommendation of Aymen. Thanks to him, he was able to brighten our day, and it was more beautiful than incredible ... We highly recommend this tour, you really will not be disappointed!!!

I had the opportunity to fulfill my dream, that of knowing Peru, I was struck by the reviews of the Travel Buddies Peru agency, my stay of six nights, seven days in lime, was full of adventures and travel friends in Lima, Cusco, Paracas, and in each of the destinations that I had the opportunity to discover along with travel buddies.
