About Activity
On this 4-hour tour, we’ll discover Lima’s two distinct sides: its modern face in Miraflores and San Isidro, and its historic heart, the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we travel through the city, you’ll see how past and present blend seamlessly in landmarks such as the Italian Art Museum, the Palace of Justice, the Lima Museum, and Plaza San Martín.
We’ll explore downtown Lima on foot, centered around the Plaza de Armas — a stunning colonial square ideal for photos — surrounded by iconic buildings including the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s Palace. We’ll also visit one of the city’s most emblematic religious sites, the Convent of Santo Domingo, another UNESCO-listed landmark that houses the relics of three Peruvian saints: Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Macias.
Before leaving the historic center, we’ll pause to enjoy a traditional limeño sweet — a delightful way to experience the city’s living heritage. The tour then continues to modern Lima along the Pacific coast, where you’ll take in breathtaking ocean views from the iconic Love Park, home to a famous sculpture by Peruvian artist Víctor Delfín.
Included: English guide, transfer from/to the hotel, entrance to Santo Domingo convent and stop for Picarones tasting.
