It was an incredibly informative and fun trip! I had such an amazing experience with Peru Hop, and especially with my host, Julio Cesar! I booked with Peru Hop in August to do the sandboarding experience in Huacachina. Unfortunately, because of some problems, I wasn’t able to join my original group. Julio noticed this and kindly took me along with his group instead. At first, I was a little confused about having to leave my original group, but honestly, it ended up being the best thing that could have happened! When we arrived at the buggies, everyone had already found a seat, but because I was an “extra” person, there wasn’t one left for me. I had to wait for a little while, but Julio immediately made sure I wouldn’t be left behind and worked to find a solution. In the end, everything worked out perfectly, and I had one of the best experiences of my entire trip! Julio was incredibly kind, helpful and attentive throughout the whole experience. You could really see that his passengers were his number one priority and that he genuinely wanted everyone to have a great time. I can 100% recommend Julio as a host! And if I come back to Peru, I would definitely request him again if that’s possible. He turned an unexpected situation into one of the highlights of my entire trip. Thank you so much, Julio!

We had an amazing experience with Peru Hop on our two-day journey from Lima to Paracas and Huacachina! It was a fantastic way to explore some of Peru’s highlights while enjoying a well-organized and stress-free trip. Over the two days, we got to experience the beautiful coastline and wildlife of Paracas, as well as the incredible desert landscape and huge sand dunes of Huacachina. The combination of different landscapes, activities, and experiences made the trip really varied, exciting, and memorable. A special mention goes to our guide, Raul, who made the experience even better. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and professional, and always made sure everyone was comfortable and knew what was happening next. He took care of all the little details, was always happy to answer questions, and created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the entire two days. We had a fantastic experience with Peru Hop! I would highly recommend them to any traveler to Peru. I only wish we had used them earlier in our trip honestly! We wound up having several guides for our one night/2 day tour. All were fantastic! Sergio was incredibly knowledgable about the tunnels. He was super organized and highly attentive to the individual needs of the group. He was professional, funny and really brought the history to life. He also went above and beyond by sending us supplemental educational information on Afro-Peruvian culture which I greatly appreciated. The second day we had Ricardo. He, too, was super organized, very informative and highly approachable. We had a great time with him exploring Paracas Reserve, having a Pisco demonstration and a fantastic lunch(which we were able to preorder!). In the afternoon, he was a fantastic guide as we experienced the exhilarating dune buggy rides and sand sledding. He ended our time with a sweet toast at sunset. Pablo was our guide for the drive home to Lima. While we didn't spend tour time with him, he was a pleasant, personable and thorough guide as well!

We started off our trip with Raul . He did a great job explaining details about Peru and it's history. However, the next day became a little chaos. He would tell us one instructions and then would tells a different one completely. After our 2nd excursión he told us to stay on t he bus to then say 2 minutes later to get off and just wait . Basically he lefted us strained without any updates. Here comes David to the rescue and picked us up and did a great job to ensure we get to our next excursion on time and make sure we got a chance to eat before our pisco tasting. He def did a good job with making up the frustración that was caused earlier. He is thoughtful and takes the experience an extra mile . For example he helped one of the tourist with a surprise proposal. If you are lucky to get David as your host tour consider yourself in good hands .

We had an excellent bus ride to all of the sites, a trip was extra special because of our guy, Brenda. She was phenomenal and took care of us like we were her family. Brenda is extremely knowledgeable, very personable and was one of the best guides we have been on a tour with. To Peru Hop leadership Brenda is one of your most exceptional guides, she should be training all of your other guides throughout your company.
Peru Hop was incredibly well organised from start to finish. Being easily picked up and dropped off directly at your hotel made everything so convenient, and I especially loved the freedom to choose when to hop on the bus. The tours included in the Peru Hop experience are also a great addition. What really made the experience special, though, were the guides. They are clearly passionate about what they do and make you feel welcome from the moment you meet them. There is always someone around to help, and the threshold to ask for help is very low. Thank you to Luis, Raúl, José Carlos and Ricardo, you were all fantastic. They were genuinely interested in getting to know us and sharing experiences, which created a really personal atmosphere. A special mention to José Carlos, who really stood out with his energy and personality and added something unique to our experience. I would absolutely recommend Peru Hop to anyone travelling through Peru.

I have mix feelings about the organization of the trips with Peru Hop. The major point is the pick up, where you loose one hour (of sleep) until all passengers are picked up. If you are the first, you are picked up at 4:55 am. To go around Miraflores and get everyone else takes 1 hour 15 min. Then to coordinate with the second tour guide on the second day took several emails and whatsapp messages to finally get the answer as to where to meet the group and at what time. The visits, however, were good. Especially the Ballesta islands (2 hrs), and the Hacienda San Jose en Chinca (1h). The 1 h in the Paracas reserve is really too short. I chose not to go to Huacachina to be able to see more of the Natural reserve. Peru Hop flexibility about this was great. Finally, our tour guide on the second day, Jose Carlos, was EXCELLENT. Good knowledge, engaging, very good English, caring.

(Sergio)We booked the Premium Tour, but unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing. To begin with, we were completely forgotten and never received our tickets. We had to ask for them ourselves before we could even join the tour. It was also very unfair that some seats could be reserved without us being informed beforehand. We were only told during the bus ride that certain seats had been reserved. We were instructed to sit in any unreserved seats. Since two people in our group get motion sickness on long journeys, this was especially frustrating. After about 20 minutes, some of the reserved seats (not all of them) were given to other guests who also had no reservation. However, nobody even asked us if we wanted to move, even though we had been affected from the beginning. The tour leader was frequently absent. We had to look for him several times whenever we needed assistance. After we spoke to him about this, he understood our concerns and stayed with the group more consistently, but this should not happen on a guided tour. One of the advertised viewpoints could not be seen at all, which was disappointing. The lunch was very poor, and it made us feel unwell afterwards. Even though we were seated in the third-to-last row, there was a constant unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. This was not what we expected from a Premium Tour. During the wine tasting, almost nothing was explained about the wine or the history of the vineyard. Instead, it felt like the focus was mainly on marketing and selling wine. We were also unable to see the oasis from the viewpoint, while other groups were able to enjoy that experience. The only real positive aspect of the tour was the bus seats, which were comfortable. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations or value of a Premium Tour, and we cannot recommend it.

I traveled with my wife and our two children on your two-day excursion to Huacachina. The first day was excellent. We participated in several excursions, and our tour guide, Anayeli, was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, organized, friendly, and always available to answer questions. She truly made the experience enjoyable. The second day was on our own to explore Huacachina, which was also a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, everything changed when it was time to return home. We met at the designated meeting point at 7:00 p.m. for our return bus. At that point, we were informed that police had restricted buses from entering Huacachina due to holiday traffic congestion. While I understand that this was outside the company's control, what happened next absolutely was. Instead of providing an alternative transportation plan, more than 60 passengers—including families with young children—were instructed to walk approximately two miles at night to reach the bus. We had to pull our luggage over uneven dirt sidewalks and along busy roads with vehicle traffic passing dangerously close to us. At one point, cars were driving directly toward us on the roadway. As a parent, I found the situation completely unacceptable and unsafe. I don't blame the local representative who was delivering the news. He repeatedly asked us not to blame the company because the police restrictions were beyond their control, and I appreciate that he was doing his best under difficult circumstances. However, I do hold the company responsible for how it chose to respond. A professional tour company should have had a contingency plan to transport its guests safely. Whether that meant hiring taxis, arranging smaller shuttle vehicles, or using another form of transportation, there were far better options than asking dozens of paying customers to make a two-mile walk at night with their luggage. In my opinion, the company made a financial decision to avoid the cost of alternative transportation, and customer safety suffered as a result. If this type of situation is common in Huacachina during busy holiday periods, I would recommend either avoiding this excursion during those times or arranging your own transportation back to the pickup location. I'm giving this tour 3 stars because the staff—including Anayeli and the local representative—worked incredibly hard and remained professional while dealing with understandably frustrated customers. They deserve recognition. Without their efforts, my rating would have been significantly lower.
Luis was our guide on the first day and he was super awesome and helpful! Same goes for Sergio on the bus back the next day, both incredibly friendly and fun.
Luis was a fantastic guide and the trip was so well planned. Everything from ordering lunch in advance to being super flexible about the sandboarding time and being able to bring dinner on the bus were all elements of good planning and focus on the customer experience. Highly recommended

My Peru Hop experience has been beyond amazing, and if I’m ever in Peru again, I would definitely use Peru Hop again. The entire experience from booking to the end of our tour was incredible. All details about the experience, as well as a well laid out itinerary, were provided. Everything was easy to understand. Our pick up ran just about 10 minutes behind schedule but that wasn’t a problem for us. Everything ran smoothly and we stuck really close to the arrival and departure times provided on the itinerary. Moni (Monica), our guide, is extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny and helpful. It’s amazing that she is fluent in both Spanish and English, and she was easily able to provide information to all of us on the tour. She made sure everyone had all the information they needed throughout the entire tour, even providing recommendations for taxi drivers to take us to our Air bnb once we arrived in Paracas. Moni shared factual cultural information with us and it was wonderful getting to learn about Peru. On excursions, she offered to take pictures and videos for us, which was really helpful. It is so awesome that Peru Hop partners with different hotels to allow the tourists to store their luggage free of charge when they arrive at destinations for excursions. It is also incredibly helpful that we just booked the tour with Peru Hop and they took care of all the details so we didn’t have to worry about them. My family and I have traveled to various continents and the excursions that we did with/through Peru Hop were the best experiences we have EVER had. Seeing all the wildlife on the Ballestas Islands tour was a dream come true. Riding dune buggies in the vast dessert at the National Reserve in Paracas was such an unforgettable experience. The dune buggies and sunset in Huacachina were the highlight of our tour. We had such an adrenaline rush and our driver of the dune buggy was amazing. Isait was our driver for this tour and he did a spectacular job. He drove safely, followed all the traffic rules, and got us to every destination safely, and we are grateful. Moni is an incredibly amazing guide and my family is truly happy that she got to guide us on this wonderful tour. This was an experience we will never forget. For instance, creating a WhatsApp group where your main guide was constantly updating you of pick up info, meeting times, things we were seeing along the way, recommendations etc. Our guide Sergio was especially amazing.
