We will visit the Palomino Islands, nature reserve of Callao, is a good option to have fun during this yacht ride we will have a panoramic view of the islands: San Lorenzo, Fronton, Camotal and Palomino. You will have between 15 and 20 minutes to enjoy a swim with the sea lions. This time is by regulation of the competent authority that is SERNANP You'll see seabirds and if we're lucky even Humboldt penguins.
Amazing experience! Diego and the rest of crew were so detailed in the intructions and very kind and patient with everyone. Dont need to kno how to swim! If you have a chance this is something you should do!
This was a very nice experience and I would definitely recommend it. Even if my partner was not well due to sea sickness (note to all who are unsure about sea sickness, the tour operators even recommended some pills to take before, don’t ignore the advice). That aside, Diego was nice and professional, he provided us with lots of interesting facts. This was a lovely experience and I do recommend this tour operator.

Ensure you’re prepared for rough seas and potential sea sickness. However, the swimming in close proximity to the sea lions was amazing.
The tour guides were very friendly and helpful. They took pictures and promised to share the following day, I hope they do. I would highly recommend fellow travelers, to take something for motion sickness, because the journey to the island is very rough. The water was cold but bearable. The snacks they provided were great after swimming.

I really enjoyed the swimming with Sea lions trip. You get really close to them and the tour also provides some photos and video . Out past the first islands it can get quite choppy. If you get sea sick I'd suggest taking a travel sickness tablet.
A nice day out on the ocean to visit the sea lion colony. Saw a couple of penguins on the way there too. Swimming in the vicinity of the Sea Lions was thrilling. They don’t actually swim near you as they are wary of the floating red things (30 people in life jackets) bobbing in the ocean. I don’t blame them. Don’t worry about a waterproof camera Tours MyG took photos of everyone with their go-pro and sent it to us the following day. The drink and snack on the return journey was a nice touch. Be prepared for choppy waters particularly after passing San Lorenzo Island. I would advise don’t have a big breakfast, but in any case you feel unwell the crew are there to help.
Marco was an excellent bilingual guide (English/Spanish) and we felt very safe with the experienced lifeguards and boat captain. We had a long relaxing boat ride out to the island (although we forgot Dramamine) and about 20 minutes to swim with the sea lions near the island. We saw 6 Humboldt penguins from the boat as well. The experience is very memorable! We love that they took pictures for us at no extra charge. We got a little sunburned so we should've reapplied suntan lotion after the swim. But we would recommend to everyone 14 and over!
If you are looking for a day trip near Lima, try heading to a 3hr pack island tour. Only a short trip to the fantastic archipelago in the coast of Callao, I love swimming with the sea lions, penguins a lot's of marine birds. Equip with a beautiful yatch, excellent tour group and divers guiding you all the way. Don't miss this experience with MyG Tours, I recommended!!
It is a very long boat ride but the swim was magical. Snack consists of juice or water and a bag of chips or a small pack of oreos
The boat ride was long and water rough but finally getting to the island. WOW! We saw a newborn being carried by momma and males that actually looked like lions with a mane! So amazing to be this close
Communication before the tour was good, with clear directions and reminders to leave early for traffic. At the meeting point, the guy told me I had to personally pay him an extra 25 soles for a "conservation fee." It was never mentioned beforehand and no one else seemed to be paying it. Felt super scammy. The boat ride is beautiful but really bouncy. A lot of people got sick and the boat smelled like vomit. Not the guide's fault, but heads up. Swimming with the sea lions was amazing. They swim right up to you and you can hear hundreds barking on the island. The guide is the reason for the bad review. He made a pass, I told him I wasn't interested, he groped my leg from underwater, and later came up to the top deck where I was alone in my swimsuit, whistled at me and tried another pass. They also have you send your number on WhatsApp for photos, and he used/abused that to message me from his personal number. The sea lions were incredible, but I didn't sign up to be made to feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. I would not recommend this tour.

We had a great tour, our guide Diego explained lots & got us swimming up close with loads of sea lions. Our captain was great at spotting various animals (penguins + dolphins). All the staff were friendly & helpful getting lots of cool pictures of us. Be wary if you get sea sick as a few people were unwell on the boat. Would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic morning swimming with the sea lions, perfect weather for it! The guides were very helpful along the way both in the water and on the boat. If you're prone to seasickness take a pill the day before so you don’t feel as ill- it might affect your experience. Thanks for the great tour Diego!

Absolutely incredible! Seeing the seals in their natural habitat was awesome. Incredible staff, Mario, Mario, Luis, Gonzalo and Denis. Everything went so smoothly and they were super affirmative of leaving the animals alone so I’d argue definitely an ethical experience! 100% go so it if looking for something away from the city in Lima!

Mario is the best tour guide! He was very welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. You can tell that he loves what he does. He even showed us to a nice lunch restaurant after the Tour and sat with us and gave us so much cultural information behind Peru and also the food here. I am honestly contemplating doing the excursion again because it was so fun & Mario & the crew were so nice!! Also great pictures and videos he took!!

Whole process was smooth. I booked with Wander Free Peru and they managed to squeeze me in 4 hours before the tour started. Swam with the sea lions and we got lucky and saw dolphins and pelicans too! Mario and crew were great in making sure no one missed out on photos/videos.
Mario and the other guides did a phenomenal job with our tour. They were organized, friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we all got our money's worth. I'd totally do this tour again!
