Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel. We head to the vibrant local market in Surquillo district, where we`ll take a walking tour to admire a wide variety of fresh products. Here, you`ll get to taste 2 to 3 exotic Peruvian fruits, discovering flavors that will surprise you.
We continue our journey through the picturesque district of Chorrillos until we reach the artisanal fishing terminal, where you can observe the daily life and work of local fishermen up close.
Next, we`ll pass by the renowned El Salto del Fraile restaurant, with the chance to witness the thrilling leap of the friar into the sea—a tradition rich in history and adrenaline.
Our next stop is a charming restaurant at La Herradura Beach, offering stunning sea views. Here, you`ll participate in an interactive Peruvian cooking class to learn how to prepare authentic ceviche, and enjoy the dish you`ve created. Additionally, you`ll have the opportunity to learn how to make the famous pisco sour, Peru`s signature drink. Ceviche is a traditional dish consisting of pieces of fresh, raw fish, usually white meat, marinated in lime juice. It is one of the most popular Peruvian dishes among locals in Peru.
The journey continues in the bohemian district of Barranco, where you can indulge in a variety of traditional Peruvian desserts, choosing from artisanal ice creams, mazamorra morada, and delicious picarones. To make this experience even more memorable, we provide you with virtual recipes for all the dishes you`ve learned to prepare, allowing you to recreate these unique flavors when you return home.
