Awesome afternoon discovering savoury fruits, ceviche, anticicho con pancita, picarinos, chicha and many others … Klaudia made it special thanks to all her explanations and share of Peruvian and Lima history. She made us also discover famous of places in city center , local market and chinese quarter. Thanks you Klaudia and the driver Sterling for this perfect time and for your care xx
We really enjoyed our tour, seeing parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have visited and trying loads of new food. Our guide, Alex was really friendly and told us about the history and what life is like for Lima locals, as well as explaining the food and how it is eaten.
This was amazing. Maria was an excellent guide. We went places and tried food and drinks we never would have otherwise. It also included a visit to major sites like the plaza mayor as well which we didn't realise.
I wish I could give this tour more than 5 stars. We had the best time ever. When booking it said our hotel was outside the service area so I sent them a wattapp message and they came and picked us up. Our guide was so charismatic and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and was thrilled to share his cultural food with us. Do NOT take this tour if you are not willing to try new things. We have tried fruit that I have never even seen before. You may not like everything but you will learn so much about how Peru pours love and care into their street food. A definite must try if you're in Lima!!!!
We had a great guide who showed us a number of great historic sites, the food markets were not quite what I expected but the guide made up for that. Only negative which was a big one for me was at the end, we were informed at the last minute we would be waiting and dropping another couple off. We waited 35minutes in vehicle before they turn up. Not happy as my time is also money
Great tour that truly shows the authentic side of Peru. We experienced how locals eat, shop, and live their everyday lives. The food was incredible, made with so much love, especially the anticuchos and picarones. Alex was an excellent guide: extremely knowledgeable about Peruvian history and culture, and genuinely enthusiastic throughout the tour. Highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting a real taste of Lima.
Klaudia, our guide, was very friendly, informative and professional. She helped us try a variety of foods from several locations. Great way to see and do something you might miss on your own!
First things first, once booked we we re e in contact with someone to be sure pf our flight time and arrival at the meeting points for our ride. Juan made sure that we had a picture of the meeting spot and that we exchanged photos to ensure pick up. When we arrived at the location, Juan's patience and attentiveness were greatly appreciated. I have had stopover tours before and he ranks at the top. Gave us an excellent tour of the historic regions of Lima as well as great local food places. It was so well done that my wife mentioned how and when do we return to Peru because she feels like we left meat on the bone. Book this tour if you have an extended layover or popping through Lima for a few and ask for Juan!
Guide is very adaptable, willing to accommodate additional requests. She is very friendly too. The itineraries chosen is good but felt could be better.
Our guide was great and allowed us to learn a lot about the culture and the food. However the price was quite high for very few street food sampling, as we bought a few snacks in the street on our tour.
The trip was a lot of fun ! Juan showed us how to eat like a local and showed us different spots around the city. He gave us history about the food and the location we were in. Overall very fun and I recommend it if you are new to the city.
Pamela is very knowledgeable and shares v readily. It was fun and eye opening to walk through the local market with her. I love the whole experience.
Very fun afternoon visiting the markets and central historic Lima. Enjoyed trying different foods. Great tour for our teens. Juan was friendly and informative.
Don't waste your hunger on breakfast! After visiting the fishmarket and an incredible viewpoint, we went to an amazonian retstaurant for a delicious snack. After this our guide manuel led us to a huge market, where he introduced us some tipical fruits and let us taste. Further we went to a whole in the wall to have a choice of 4 different dishes. All very delicious! Manuel is a great guide with lots of passion and knowledge about his country and it's food.
Thank you Klaudia for making my last day in Peru so perfect. I’ve wanted to do a walking tour of the markets with food tastings and this was perfect. I learned so much and Klaudia helped me see many things I wouldn’t have in my own. I highly recommend this tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jean Paul our guide was very easy going, very knowledgeable in the areas we visited and really provided a typical day in a Peruvian person’s day and their customs. Excellent food and food overall experience.
Excellent tour of 3 markets with Lucas. We tried great local dishes and amazing Peruvian fruit. High recommend to anyone who loves food and wants to try exciting new things you can’t find anywhere else!
My husband and I had a blast on the local markets tour with Marcos as our guide. He was so informative and willing to answer all of our questions. The experience was great and the food was amazing. ありがとう Marcos!!
We had a great time with Jean Paul (French name but he’s Peruvian. His mom just liked the names :). Jean Paul studies history of Peru, studied many gastronomy courses, and is a certified tourist guide. He was very good in walking us through two big food markets and explain many things about the boos we saw or tasted. He’s fun and trustworthy. Highly recommended!
The experience was very enriching and interesting and my guide Alex could not have been better, I loved his explanations and his company. If I were to return to Lima I would repeat it without a doubt with him!
We went with the guide Klaudia. She was simply sensational. The walk is unavoidable. Do it! She was one of the best guides I've ever known.
Wonderful! Our guide today was wonderful. Much knowledge. They followed the whole script. I highly recommend!
Excellent immersion to know the Peruvian culture. Guide Manuel 10 points. I would definitely recommend it. I loved the experience.
First of all thank the excellent guide Manuel Girón for his human warmth, empathy, wisdom, patience and willingness. A very kind person. The walk to the markets I highly recommend, as contact with the locals seems paramount. The outstanding cuisine, rich and very abundant. Thank you, Rita from Uruguay.
With the guidance of Jean Paul cricket, unforgettable experience in reaffirming our Latin American fruits and learning culinary customs from our neighbors and brothers. Greetings from Colombia!
