Lima: Food And Historic Center Tour With 12 Tastings

I would highly recommend the tour! I learnt a lot about Lima’s history while eating some of the best food. Yoced was my tour guide. He was really friendly, very knowledgeable and engaging. He really made the experience worthwhile

Our tour group had 6 people which was a comfortable size allowing us to make new friends. We enjoyed the ceviche and anticuchos! What made the tour pop was our guide Yoced; he was very thorough and patient in explaining the history and origin of each dish. When we did the historic part of the tour, we were especially pleased with Yoced’s knowledge on the history of Lima and Peru; he made the tour entertaining and interesting. Catacombs and the church is too touristy and overrated in our opinions. Still, would recommend first-time visitors to Peru to do a food and historic tour.

From the best Ceviche, ever, to fantastic Causa and exotic grilled beef heart and Lucuma drink, it was an experience we'll cherish forever. Incredible day touring Lima. The Convent of San Francisco can’t be missed! The catacombs are like none you’ll ever see!! The best part of the day was our guide Jean Carlo. He was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his country, his profession, history and so professional, courteous and a great sense of humor. Experiencing the real food of Lima was fascinating and filling :-). He accommodated my need for gluten free food and we had the best ceviche, fresh crab meat, super fun to learn about all of the local exotic fruits and the corn juice is super tasty!! Awesome day strolling among the crowds in Lima and who knew about Chifa’s, I do now!!

We had a great food tour with Alex as our guide. The food was all good - esp the causa and ceviche and the pork sandwich at the end. Alex was extremely knowledgeable not only about the food but about broader questions we had around healthcare and education in Peru and agriculture in the economy. We all enjoyed the tour and came away more than full.

The tour was very informative. The guide had a great sense of humour, knew a lot about the history and was overal very accomodating. We got to try out different kinds of local food, from appetisers, to streetfood, to main dishes, to desserts and food. Make sure not to eat beforehand!

Gerald tge guide took us through a great tour through the hidden places an foid stands mostly known to locaks only. It was very tasty and the historical stories and detailed explanations of the local gastronomy were very interesting. You should come hungry as you get a lot to eat in this tour. I highly recommend the tour as well as Gerald specifically

Joseph was an excellent tour guide. I recommend him to everyone. He not only gives an excellent food tour. But he tells you about how the Peruvian culture had evolved over time. He tells you all about the street markets. Takes you through the street market. We only speak English. But he should us all the different market leaders cations and never felt endangered. We at at local restaurants. Every one in the restaurant were locals. The experience went above and beyond our expectations.

Yoced was an excellent tour guide! The tour was fast-moving, fun, and absolutely delicious—the portions were generous, and I really enjoyed the entire experience. He was extremely knowledgeable, well-mannered, personable, and very customer-service oriented. We explored the Historic Center, Chinatown, and several other interesting areas, and he did a wonderful job sharing the history and culture along the way. Overall, this was a great experience and one I would definitely recommend. If you decide to book this tour, be sure to ask for Yoced!

We really enjoyed the food tour. We tried many things that were recommended to try. We had an DIY food list, and this hit many of them. Our guide, Yoced was very knowledgeable and friendly, he provided stories about the places we walked to and highlights about the food.

Did the Food and City tour with Yoced and had the best time! He was so knowledgeable about all the food we tried and the interesting background and stories behind it all. We had a small group for the food tour portion and then I was one on one with Yoced for the city tour portion and I had such a good time! He answered all my questions about the history and culture of Lima and pointed out things along the way I would have never noticed on my own or with a larger tour group. Highly recommend this tour!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our Lima tour, thanks to our fantastic guide, Yoced. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and highlights of Lima with us. We really enjoyed Peruvian food. I booked this experiment for my son and I because we wanted to try various foods. We were paired with Giovana and from the very beginning, we knew it would be amazing. She was informative, funny, patient, and accommodating. The walking tour wasn’t bad or too hard to do. The foods were great and her knowledge about Peru made the tour much better. The cow heart was my favorite! We enjoyed our time with her and would definitely recommend!

We had a layover in Lima and wanted to experience the city. I liked that we could add on the pick up and drop off from the airport. We stored our luggage at the airport. The transport went well and we met with the tour guide Yoced and small group. Yoced made the tour funny and enjoyable. We did the food and city tour combo and learned a lot in the small time we had. We had a taste of Lima food and also enjoyed the company of other travelers. We were transported back to the airport safely and we appreciated we had the chance to experience the city before leaving Peru.

Lima experience is an outstanding company that is extremely well organized. Very impressive communication on WhatsApp on every step of the way. Our guide Arturo was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and not only made us try so many local foods but also spoke about the culture and history of Lima. Highly recommend Arturo. We were a big group with kids and dietary restrictions and he made sure everyone was well taken care of.

Fun day and great tour with Arturo from Lima Experience. We were a group of 9 and Arturo managed the group well and guided us through the busy market making food stops at a wide variety of places. The tour would be challenging to do yourself, especially knowing the "good" spots with safe and delicious food. Be careful with your personal belongings in the market, no joke. Arturo reminded us of this several times ... it's safe but pickpockets are present. Arturo had great knowledge of the area, was able to convey his love for his countries food /culture and interacted extremely well with the group. The reservations and communication with Lina Experience were smooth, a recommended tour. Thanks Arturo!!
