Geo was a great guide, very informative. Lots of wonderful cultural food, the ceviche was a standout!
Come to this tour hungry! You’ll try many of the typical dishes and learn a lot about the culture and history that helped shaped Peru’s culinary scene. The portions are decent size and tasty! Gio did an incredible job teaching us about each dish. She walked us through Barranco and shared a little bit about art scene and history of the area. Highly recommend this tour as your intro to Limas food scene.
David was very knowledgeable about food and he took us to some really interesting places to sample local Peruvian food and drink. We also had explanations and demonstrations, for example how to make Pisco Sours. The tour takes you through parts of Baranco, and you see some really nice graffiti and visit the gallery of one of the artists. All in all a really good experience.
Great food, good sights along the way Cooking classes were great and our guide Gio was very nice and fun!! 10/10 recommend
A great ending to our trip to Peru and Bolivia. Picked up at 9am from hotel and dropped off in Barranco with our guide and host David. A culinary experience of the highest order with a great backstory to everything we sampled. Don't eat much beforehand as you'll get an array of great dishes over the 4 hour experience and some close ups of dishes being prepared. David was very informative and made the tour special. Well worth it and the extra art stops were the icing on the cake. Loved the whole experience.
Excellent food, excellent guide. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that it included some artistic sights, and a lucky bridge.
Paola was such a great guide. She was really funny and very informative. So much great food and drinks, visiting restaurants that you might otherwise miss. I enjoyed the walks in between and talks about the art and history. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Lima!
We had such an amazing time on our food tour with Paula! She was absolutely wonderful, so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience fun and memorable. Every food we tried was delicious, and I loved getting to experience so many different flavors. My personal favorite was definitely the fresh fruit and chocolate — such a perfect combination! Paula did an incredible job guiding us through the experience, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting. It was such a fun and delicious way to explore the local food scene!
Paola was awesome and explained everything in detail and was attentive.

Overall, it was a great experience! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the tour. Although it was a little on the expensive side, I think it was worth the price for the experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Peru!
My wife and I did the Lima Ultimate Peruvian Food Tour with Aura, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Aura was warm, knowledgeable and exceptionally well organized. She didn't just introduce us to wonderful Peruvian food — she explained the history, ingredients and culture behind what we were tasting, which made every stop more meaningful. The pace was relaxed, she made sure we were comfortable throughout, and her passion for Lima and Peruvian cuisine really showed. We left full, happy and with a much deeper appreciation for the city. If you book this tour, ask for Aura — you won't regret it.
Wonderful food tour - highly recommend .my sister and I were there for a few nights and was a perfect way to spend Halloween - saw lots of fun costumes
Giovanna Was amazing!!! She made the whole tour with her attitude and love for her country! I give her 5 stars! I never book food tours and this one was really nice and chill! Lots of good options! The empanadas were so good! Also the barranco neighborhood is sooooo gorgeous! The street art, stores and restaurants a must visit when in Lima!
We did the 4-hour Barranco food tour on 10/10 with Marco. He was excellent. Everything flowed smoothly and food was great!
Aura was a fantastic guide. This tour wasn’t just about tasting local dishes. Aura provided the background story of each dish which made this tour different from other food tours we have done in other parts of the world. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lima.
Otherwise a good tour with a knowledgeable guide and great English. I don't think she meant any harm — the framing just subtly tilted: the Chinese community was painted as poor struggling laborers (Chinese food called "lower-class"), while the Japanese presence was romanticized, with no mention that they were also laborers. Unconscious, not deliberate, but it still left me uncomfortable as a Chinese traveler. Accuracy and balance matter.
