The bus taking us to Paracas from Lima the morning of November 4 was extremely devastatingly terribly noisy, so extremely noisy I had to try to cover my ears with something the whole time and yet it was still so devastatingly terrible. I am afraid of any kind of hearing loss that could have come from this. It was so extreme others also said the same. I wonder if the bus was older and in bad shape? I did let the guide Sergio know my concern. The tours were beautiful and the guides were great.

Itinerary
Begin with an early pickup from your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. Board your Peru Hop bus with onboard high-speed Wi-Fi and settle into a premium, air-conditioned coach with reclining semi-bed seats and an onboard restroom. Your friendly Peruvian host shares stories and tips as you trace the scenic Pan-American Highway toward Paracas, a peaceful fishing town on the Pacific.
Board a fast, comfortable boat for a 2-hour wildlife cruise. Skim past towering rock arches and the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph while watching for sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a kaleidoscope of seabirds - and, with luck, playful dolphins. Skippers keep a respectful distance so you can enjoy natural behavior (wildlife sightings vary seasonally).
Enjoy a hands-on class where you’ll make, taste, and enjoy your very own Pisco Sour, Peru’s national cocktail, with views over the Paracas harbor.
You will have ree time to have lunch in one of the many restaurants of Paracas overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Join a guided bus tour inside one of South America’s largest protected desert reserves. Photograph red-sand cliffs, wind-carved headlands, and sweeping Pacific views where dunes meet turquoise water. Short walks to lookouts are rewarded with unforgettable panoramas.
Travel north aboard your Peru Hop bus to a historic hacienda to explore its underground tunnels, once used during the slave-trading era. Your guide shares context and stories that bring this difficult history to life. Some passages are narrow and have low ceilings; guests should be comfortable with enclosed spaces.
Relax aboard your comfortable Peru Hop bus with onboard high-speed Wi-Fi for the drive back to Lima - ideal for sharing your best Ballestas and Paracas photos on the way. Enjoy direct drop-off at your hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. Typical arrival is around 10:30 PM (traffic and sea conditions can affect timing; Downtown drop-offs may be slightly later).

Luis our tour guide was very good and very knowledgeable. We saw some seals, penguins and dolphins on the cruise. The scenery was lovely in the national park. The slave tunnels were very interesting and a real eye opener into the cruelty of slavery
Luis was amazing. He was very personable and he took care of everyone. His instructions were very clear and concise. The boat tour was very satisfying as well. The bus was comfortable enough to get some sleep on the long drive.
A great day. Luis really looked after us and was very informative.
Luis was excellent, he was very informative and compassionate about the information that he shared.
The guide Andre was really nice and kind. He took us to the restaurant with sea food, which was amazing.
An absolutely unforgettable experience! The Paracas and Huacachina full-day tour was incredibly well organized from beginning to end. Our guide, Diego, was outstanding: attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and always making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt very well assisted throughout the entire day. The landscapes were breathtaking, the activities were amazing, and the whole experience was truly memorable for both me and my fiancée. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Peru. If you have the chance to go with Diego, you’re in great hands. Thank you for such an amazing day!
The guide is insane. So friendly and he really take care for everyone,, so sweet.. Also the experience is really worth it!! I felt it’s really good price to experience all of this. I really appreciate itfor guide !!
This was our second time travelling with Peru hop. Wonderful again. Our guides Luis, Mickey and Lui, were all amazing. We would not hesitate to return and travel with Peru Hop again.
The trip was just AMAZING. I highly recommend not to miss this opportunity. Diego, our guide was very good and helpful. Buggy drivers, boat driver and the guide were also great
A very very long day with lots of hanging around waiting between the highlights. The dropping off people on return took an hour and a half- painful!
So much organization, we really have a good time here, also the food was great, nice views and pisco!!!
I did like the guides and the way the trip was organized. Buses were comfortable also. Good choice for those who have a limited amount of time.
Had an amazing tour with Andre. He was very knowledgeable in terms of the history and culture and had fun with it as well. I was comfortable through out the whole trip. The cost and the length of the tour was perfect as well as the amount of people that were in the tour and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Peru.
Perfectly put together and very smooth. The trips were nice and guides very friendly and helpful. Definitely the nicest way to travel within Peru.
Andre was great! Funny and knowledgable.
Julio Cezar was a great guide - very accommodating and passionate about imparting knowledge of Peru. We enjoyed all the activities we were part of.
Our experience was unreal. Communication was incredible, guide was enthusiastic and engaging and the scenery was second to none. All round we had an incredible experience. It is well worth the long day. Thanks so much to Hulio Ceasar! 🙌
Julio Caesar - excellent guide.
100% everything was great specially Diego
Luii was an amazing guide for our trip from Lima to Paracas. He made the experience great and was very informative and kind. I would recommend these tours to anyone visiting Peru!
Wonderful tour. The scenery in Paracas was breathtaking. The island tour of Ballestras Island was wonderful. The tour ended with a memorable tour of the Casa San Jose Hotel and Slave tunnels. This is one of the best tours we have taken in Lima. Our guide Lisbeth was amazing. We were very lucky to have her as our guide. She is so knowledgeable and was a wonderful tour guide.
Very well organised and packed with a lot to see whilst having enough breaks to refresh, Hannah was a guide and was excellent in knowledge and interaction
Our guide Lois was excellent and very knowledgeable.
The trip with Luis as our tour guide was great. Experienced a little bit of everything near Lima in one day. Would recommend if you are crunched for time and you want to experience a little bit of everything near Lima.
It is a wonderful tour and packed full of great experiences. The boat trip was my favorite as the wildlife was amazing to witness. Beyond the expected, we saw dolphins and whales. The guides were kind and informative. They provided lots of interesting information as well as having kind conversations while awaiting the next leg of the tour. The tour is very long and we all felt pretty wiped out by the end but the have no regrets.
Perfect trip. !! Highly recommend for all.
We had Roberto, and the other 2 tour guides were amazing!!! Definitely recommend and way worth the pay!!!
We had a great tour! The Ballestas Islands tour was incredible for wildlife spotting, and Julio Caesar was a great guide with so many good pieces of information! We would recommend this trip.
Good experience in the tour, I was all good
Amazing experience. And our guide Pablo was the best. Recommend every one that stays at lima
Die it with PeruHop. Our host was lovely and she explained the history of the tunnels and the whole place really good.
I highly recommend this day trip to Paracas for a quick getaway from Lima! The landscapes are absolutely stunning, and the marine wildlife is incredible. Just a heads-up: if you get seasick, the boat tour might not be for you. Our guide, Brenda, was fantastic - she shared valuable insights into Peruvian culture, was very attentive to everyone, open to all our questions, and last but not least, funny and delightful.
We had a really nice day in Paracas with Brenda as our guide. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, and told us a lot of interesting things about the places we visited. She made the tour fun and enjoyable. Thank you, Brenda, for the great experience!
Great experience! Beautiful views and amazing animals. Our guide, Raul, was very helpful and enthusiastic. You can really tell that he loves his country and enjoys sharing its beauty with tourists. Highly recommended!
We were satisfied with a tour. Raul, our tour guide, was great. Everything was well organized.
The experience in Paracas was amazing and Raul was a great host. He was passionate and organized and did a terrific job explaining things. Would highly recommend the boat tour to see amazing wildlife and the your of the national park for amazing views. Pick up in the morning was a bit unorganized and we were dropped off on the side of the road in Lima in the morning without explanation from the sprinter van to wait for the main bus. This was before we met up with Raul in Paracas and not a reflection of him at all. We eventually were picked up and the day proceeded according to plan. Messy start, but a great day.
Raul was an excellent host. He was punctual, knowledgeable, and fun. He truly showed his love for his country. We loved the boat trip to the Ballestas Islands. And the views from the national park. Lots of miscommunication from the company though regarding what was included and the Pick up time kept changing. Then the pickup was late anyways. Also the slave tunnels had to be changed because they had a private event last minute.
Raul was the best. Excellent tour.
Overall a great experience. It’s a busy program, but not too much for a day trip. Very versatile program. Within a day ypu see lots of marine life, desert and sea landscapes, and you learn about Peru’s slave history. Luis and Aldo were knowledgeable and frequently told us about their personal experiences in Peru, which was very interesting.
Luis provided a good tour of the hacienda. Bus was nice. Trip good so far. Back to Lima now
Great experience. Exciting activities packed in this one day trip! The cruise is just amazing. Saw more seals than my Antarctica trip. Guides are knowledgeable & professional. Ricardo Alfredo is amazing. He told us the history of the slave tunnel. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Peru!
The tour was so worth it! I saw more seals here than from Antarctica! Love the itinerary. Guides are very professional, especially Ricardo Alfredo. He explained everything and told us stories everywhere we went
Our day trip from Lima to Paracas with Peruhop was great. Our guides, Roberto, Andre, and Jorge were super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We saw tons of wildlife on our boat tour, had a great lunch and saw some amazing views at the reserve. The trip to the tunnels/plantation on the way back to Lima was super interesting/educational as well. Would highly recommend them for anyone looking to go to Paracas for the day.
You guys do all an amazing job!!
Brenda was my guideshe was excellent, it is a very interesting and beautiful tour, I enjoyed it
Raul is the best, very knowledgeable and friendly!
Paracas and the Ballestas islands are absolutely worth a visit. My tour guide was also very knowledgeable. My main critique of this tour has to do with the organization. The bus that picked us up was confusing and had multiple tours on it. They then told us on the boat tour would start 30 mins after we arrived, but instead it started immediately. We then had 2.5 hours post tour for lunch which was way too long. We spent maybe 30 mins at the national park before heading to Hacienda San Jose. I booked this tour instead of the Paracas + Huacachina tour because I didn’t want to be rushed. In retrospect, I wish I’d just booked the Huacachina tour and I probably would have gone with a different company.
The guide we had - Jean Pierre - was excellent. Super careful with everyone, well informed, top! He was always attempting to everyone’s needs and provided excellent tips. I was undecided before going as I had no company but during the day I thought several times, I’m very happy I decided to come. I would have missed an excellent day.
It was definitely packed but excellent way to explore the area in the shortest possible time!
