Itinerary
We will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Starting at “Parque del Amor” in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then we are heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture, for a panoramic view.
After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors Sant Martin de Porres and Sant Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.
Explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today. One of the most worthy places to visit is the library, not only for the value of the writing works, but also for the coffered ceilings.
Feast upon a delicious buffet lunch in an elegant seaside restaurant; enjoy local specialties made from freshly caught seafood. Revitalized, visit the Larco Museum to immerse yourself in the captivating culture and history of the country. Peruse a plethora of entrancing exhibitions, viewing glittering jewelry, ancient ceramics and more than 50,000 Peruvian pots.
Then, venture to a traditional tavern to sample the nation’s most treasured drink, a pisco sour. Treat your taste buds to the sweet tones of the cocktail, created by combining grape brandy with egg whites, sugar syrup and lemon juice. Snack upon freshly made sandwiches before taking a seat at the Magic Water Circuit for your tour’s compelling conclusion. Gaze at the choreographed spurts of the impressive fountains as bright color and melodious music explode onto the scene. Watch lasers dance and images appear during the extravagant spectacle. When the show ends, return to your Lima hotel in your comfortable vehicle.
The Basilica Cathedral of Lima is also home to the tomb of Francisco Pizarro, the spanish conqueror of the Inca´s empire. Inside, along the side aisles, are a sequence of large paintings of the Via Crucis, "Way of the Cross." Pope John Paul II visited this cathedral on two occasions, in 1985 and 1988. This is commemorated with signs at the entrance. There are 14 side chapels.

We did the seven-day Lima, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu tours. We had fantastic guides at every historic City and archaeological site! The hotels were comfortable. We were very fortunate that we had private tours every day! The guides adjusted to our needs and abilities. They were very knowledgeable about the history of the sites. Next time we’re in Peru, we will use Viajes Pacifico (VIPAC) again!
Both parts of this trip were great. Am saw the central historical district and pm saw the Larco museum and magic water. So much great information was given the entire time. Their English was excellent and they knew the answers to all of our questions. Would definitely recommend this tour, this operator and these guides
Ursula is very knowledgeable about Peru’s history. I got to sample all Peru’s dishes, appetizers, desserts with Pisco during lunch in one of their best restaurants. To top it a drink in a bar with a big Peruvian sandwich and Pisco again late afternoon before going to the magic water circuit. Highly recommended tour!!!
We enjoy this program very much. The guide is very good. The Lunch buffet is good. The water funtain show is great!
This was an easy and interesting way to discover Lima highlights. The trip to Larco museum was great. I have travelled a lot over the world, seen a lot of museums. Larco museum is a must.
Viator agreed to and received $300 for 4 people for a dinner and a tour of Lima fountain. The tour guide never responded nor showed up. We had a wasted night on sep 7 Please don’t book any tours on viator as they are not responsive and have a poor management.i am still waiting on a refund. I have other telephone charges in a foreign country trying to reach the tour guide and no success.
The tour was split into 2 tours of ~3h. We had a reservation at a restaurant in between. The tours were very interesting but the time allocated for the lunch was too long. However, very good tour with a local twist at a tavern!
This tour starts early in the day - you drive around Lima and see some of the city sites. You then get dropped off at this buffet restaurant and then have to kill a few hours (which is at a shopping centre/by the coast) because your guide leaves you there then you need to get to the pick up point for the afternoon/evening guide. If I had known that, I would have booked it as two half day tours and gotten dropped off and picked up back at the hotel. Also - as an FYI - the company that runs these tours is not responsive to emails to confirm the activities. They ignored my many emails and Messenger posts. I was lucky that they showed up per my booking - there was no confirmation prior to the event. The Larco Museum and Water Circuit was the highlight of this tour.
The tour was the full day but you were given a couple hours to explore a mall area/lunch place on the coast. Prior to the lunch you have a tour of most of the highlights of the city and the government. The evening is full of history and child like fun with the variety of fountains at the park. Gabrielle was awesome and made our evening part of the trip so awesome!

Be careful it really is not a full day tour. The agency put me in a group city tour in the morning then dropped me off at a restaurant and asked me to meet another guide at a hotel near the restaurant 4 hours later. Not my idea of a full day tour.
The tour guides were very nice and understanding but the office staff needs a course in etiquette and client relations.

Learned a lot about the culture and history. First part of the tour, we had 1:1 time with the guide, which allowed us to ask as many questions as we could and truly made for a personalized experience. The buffet was delicious and in a nice area of town (Larcomar). I’d definitely recommend this to another couple or family visiting Lima. Our guide was very passionate when speaking and made the experience so much more enjoyable.
Just can't say enough good things about this tour - it was simply wonderful and we definitely got

.... we meet a new friends in this tour and enjoy their company. we have a funtastic time together 'till the end of our tour.

We liked Larco museum and water show. The city tour was so-so.

Collected at the time appointed and toured the city for the half day. Tour guide was great and very knowledgeable spoke English very well and was easy to understand. The lunch supplied was a good buffet at a great restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The food offered a great selection. The afternoon tour commenced later in the day and again was collected promptly and taken to Larco Museum which was very interesting with a enormous collection of pottery from Inca times. The water circuit was very popular and the water show which lasted about 15 minutes was great.

Tour was split in two parts with four hours of nothing in between. This tour was not as advertised. The guides were good and some of the experience was worthwhile but I think because there were only myself on the morning portion, and only four people on the afternoon portion, I felt some advertised content was rushed or left out. Anyway in a single tour supposed to last 11 hours, 4 was spent doing nothing and about 3 more sitting in Lima traffic.

What a day! Thought the time spend at the shopping mall could be shorter.

We were not told we would be dropped at a restaurant and then would have to wait 3.5 hours for the second part of the tour. The guide in the City tour part was a bit aloof. The main square was beautiful, as was the cathedral. We thought the Museum might be boring, but it was wonderful. A private collection, it covered both pre-Inca and Inca times. The grounds were beautiful. A pisco sour really sour and the lighted fountains, with a laser show, capped off the afternoon/evening tour. Second half of tour was great. Gabriella did a good job and gave excellent info about Peru history. I would recommend the latter tour, not the first part. Better to schedule two separate tours.

Well organized and very enjoyable. Tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

We had an excellent tour of Lima in the day and then we met our guide again in the evening . He was very informative and interesting even though there were only three of us in the evening.

loved this tour! Larco museum is beautiful and the magic water circuit is truly unique!

Victor was a great and knowledgeable guide. We loved the city centre, the Larco Museum and water fountain display. Viajes Pacifico is a great company - email with pick-up time in advance, vehicles clean and tidy, and drivers professional. Thoroughly recommended.

Extremely informative, well paced. Super guides with expert knowledge. We were very privileged top have tour for 2 then 4. We would highly recommend this for first timers to Peru.

Loved this tour--should not be missed--one of our highlights of the city--shows wonderful artifacts from Inca times. Our tour guide was great, and the magic water show was awesome!!

Great way to spend the day, despite me messing up my booking the staff were extremely accommodating. The sites and information was well put together.

This was a a very good experience with knowledgeable guides. The 3 hour hiatus at the mall was not really touring. That should be noted in the description.

Excellent and professonal. Thanks for a great time!

It was a fabulous day. Informative guides, safe van diver, delicious food and drinks, and a great mix of activities.

Really enjoyed our tour. Had 2 very knowlegeable guides. Lunch was lovely.

Get a Taxy and do it your self it would save you a lot of money and headaches.

Lima is a great city and definitely worth the visit. The tour however left me a bit wanting. The tour didn't spend as much time as I had wanted exploring the older part of town Plaza San Martin, etc There was too much 'free time' in the Miraflores area after Lunch which I felt could have been spent in the older part of town.

A great way to see Lima in a day. Lima is a massive city and this tour covers all the main areas. We had 2 separate tours this day in order to see it all. Both tour guides were good. However, there was a long wait at lunch in the Miraflores district - maybe this could be shortened a bit and we could have checked out the Barranco district also - I am not sure if this is possible however - just a thought.

Tour went very well. Both tour guides spoke good English and were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I learned a lot. Lunch and snack were good, and transport was good.

Amazing tour, hugely knowledgeable guide! The Larco museum is a must visit in Lima :)

I've just review my trip. I gave you worth information about it. Please let me know yod received it. Thanks. Mr and Mss Mario Conesa

I LOVE GABRIELLA. She made my day, and I really mean that. I will always think of her and her idea of Peru. I think she is perfect in her great knowledge!

The trip was interesting but we were very tired and didn't take the complete tour.

Great tours! Both the morning and evening guides were excellent and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the buffet lunch at Mango. The Larco Museum is a must see and we loved the Magic Water Circuit!

Very interesting. Guides pleasant and helpful. The tour was excellent. I would recommend both tours

This is the third tour I have had with Viator and it was the worst. I am glad it wasn't my first or I would not have used them again. This tour is misleading. Understand, it is advertised as 11 hours, however, it is the day tour combined with the evening tour with a 4 hour break in between where lunch is provided, which was in the price of admission. Apparently the morning tour guide did not realize I had the whole day tour and was dropping off everyone at their hotels when I asked about the lunch provided. She said she was not aware but took me to the restaurant where my name was not on the list. Fortunately, I had my entire receipt with itinerary with me so I was seated and the lunch was honored. Now, the lunch buffet was good, however, I could easily have gone back to my hotel, showered and felt much more refreshed for the evening tour. I literally took a sponge bath at the Marriot where you get picked up for the evening tour. There was also confusion how to get picked up for the evening tour. I was told to wait outside for the bus, however, when the evening tour guide found me, she was quite upset saying I was supposed to be in the lobby where she had been waiting for 10 minutes. Another thing to consider when told this is an 11 hour tour is most of it is spent in traffic. The sights were nice and the guides were good. I would have liked to have had time alone in the museum to browse. The guide took us to specific displays and rushed us through so there was a lot we missed. I would recommend, if you want both night and day tours, book them separately, have lunch on your own and get picked up and dropped off at your hotel. In actuality, the tour was 7 hours in length.

The morning was a little disappointing as we just drove past many of the buildings I wanted to see in depth I had asked how long we would have at the Huccha

We only had one day in Lima before a trip to Machu Picchu. I chose this tour because it seemed to fit so much in. Unfortunately, the trip did not seem as advertised. It was billed as an 11-hour tour. This was deceiving. It was actually two tours-morning and evening- and we were left with nearly four hours between tours. Our first guide left us in Miraflores at a mall, at 1150- 40 minutes before we could even have lunch.
We did NOT stop at Las Huacas as advertised- when I asked if we would be stopping, I was told no, but they pulled over for 20 seconds to allow me to take a photo. The afternoon tour didn't start until 1550- leaving us stranded at a mall with no sense of where we were in relation to the rest of the city. The morning tour itself was fine, the afternoon tour superb, but I wandered along a foggy seashore for hours while my husband fell asleep on a bench- you really don't want to have to kill 3 hours in an unfamiliar foreign city near a MALL - I can do Gap and Banana Republic at home.
That being said, I can't say enough positive about the fabulous Larco Museum of pre Incan and Incan pottery, the stop for Pisco was fine and the evening light show just fabulous. The morning tour of the Cathedral of Lima and the Santo Domingo convent was fine. I really would have wished to be able to use my hours of free time to see more of the city. The buffet lunch at Mangos was very good. Again, wanted to but did not see Las Huacas as advertised. Booking was easy, pick ups on time, guides Ursula and Marie Isabel were very knowledgeable.

Excellent tour. Informative, yet not boring. I recommend it highly.

It was a great way to see many of the highlights of the city. I had 2 guides and both were amazing. The first guide escorted me to the restaurant for my lunch. It was an amazing Peruvian buffet in Larcomar with an oceanview. I had a couple of hours to walk around and then catch the 2nd part of my tour. It was a great way to see and learn about Lima. Loved it. Thanks.

Everything was really nice; guides, food, city tour, museum (y)

Tour was excellent? Great way to see Lima in one day.

Both guides were incredible! There was a break between the morning City Tour and the evening tour. We just roamed around and relaxed at Starbucks. Fantastic day out and both tours I would highly recommend! Lima is a beautiful city.

This was a great tour. Loved all of it. Lima downtown, Larco and the water circuit are MUST SEES. I recommend this tour to everyone!

We thought the tour was very good, however, it was too long. We did not appreciate being left alone for 4 hours. It would be better to start the tour 3 hours later as lunch only takes 45 min and the tour could then proceed.
We did enjoy all the stops.
