Lima City Tour. Pre-hispanic, Colonial And Modern Tour.

We took a private city tour of Lima, led by the wonderful Yahaira! She brought us to the picturesque Lovers Park in Miraflores, which was reminiscent of Gaudi's park in Barcelona, then to an ancient pyramid also in Miraflores. All the while, she told us about the history of Peru and Lima, then led us around the city-center, with an in-depth tour of the cathedral and catacombs. Afterwards she brought us to a local store where we did a pisco tasting (I'm partial to the passion fruit infused pisco!). We were very pleased with this tour. Then two days later we were greatly surprised and pleased that she returned to lead us on a local food tour where we had tropical fruit samples at a local market, then went to a restaurant where we were taught how to make our own pisco sours and watched as a chef demonstrated how to make ceviche which became the appetizer for our Peruvian lunch. Another fantastic experience thanks to Yahaira!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Lima VIP tours. We did the $35 city tour and we were impressed with the tour and the time we were given at each stop. We were especially impressed with the knowledge and hospitality of our guide, Jasmine! Highly recommend this tour!!

The day was amazing - could not recommend more and capped off by a thrilling experience on dune buggy’s in the sand dunes! Brian, our guide, was excellent! He is extremely kind, attentive, and showed us to all our stops efficiently and on time. When booking this trip, make sure you ask for Brian!

The best part was when we went to a local shop for pisco tasting. It was interesting. Other than that, average.

Edgar was fabulous on our tour around Lima today. he is so full of knowledge of the history of the area. My Neice who was with us teaches Spanish in Los Angeles so he gave a dual lingo tour !! The wine tasting and many stops were just a highlight is this grand experience

We booked this tour as a private tour which allowed us to customize the itinerary, such as stopping for coffee in the Barranco district. Our guide David was incredibly knowledgeable and told us about the city, but most importantly about his life in Lima, about the politics and about why it never rains. We were very happy that we booked this!

David was so friendly and very knowledgable about Lima! This tour’s pacing was perfect. We had one day to see Lima, and this tour delivered in a four-hour timeframe. They picked us up from our hotel right on time and got us back on time as well. Worth it!

It's a very short tour, about 3.5-4 hours, of the old and new city area of Lima that covers some basics as the tour post says. The pace is perfect, although street traffic may slow things down or even cause a missed spot (we missed ChocoMuseo as we lost time stuck in traffic). Our guide was certified, trained and very knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions about the city, also gave recommendations about local restaurants and other interesting places. There is no reason for not-recommending this tour!

A nice afternoon walking and chatting around Lima. We visited the Church of St Francis Catacombs, the main square, a pisco bar and Parque del Amor. Would definitely recommend this tour to a friend

Valeria was such a knowledgeable and fun tour guide. She took us around the attractions of the Lima area. Going over to the beautiful love park, the church and catacombs and then city square. Not only did she talk in depth about the history she made sure to make it relevant to us as well.

The tour was an excellent introduction to Peruvian culture and the highlights of the city of Lima. David and Valeria were awesome tour guides, very knowledgeable, friendly and competently shared their information in english, for which I was very grateful. The tour of the Cathedral and the Pisco Sour tasting were the highlights of the tour. I highly recommend!!

Valeria was a terrific tour guide and we had a wonderful time. She took the time to visit, answer our questions, and show us some of her favorite places. Even though my husband and daughter had toured the same area a few days earlier (while I was working), Valeria gave them a whole new experience and they learned several new things. The pisco tasting was awesome and we can’t wait to come back and visit again!

It was amazing seeing how much the culture of Peru changed over the years, especially from pre-historic times. The modern parts of the city were also very fun to explore, everything felt very close together, and the views were breathtaking. Also, my tour guide Valeria Novoa was very personable and nice- very professional as well. Kudos to her! Everyone involved did such a great job, and I would like to thank them. Lima was very warm and inviting and I will forever cherish this experience.

Jergen and Felipe gave us a wonderful private tour! Felipe is so knowledgeable on the history of Lima and gave us far more information than I was expecting. Jergen navigated the city like a pro and got us from A to B in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend booking a tour with them!

A great way to see the main attractions of Lima when you have limited time. Tour was well organised and the guide Renzo was knowledgeable, passionate, very welcoming and easy going. It was a smalll group in a mini van. Highly recommended!

This tour was a perfect way to explore the city during all it's periods. Renzo, our tour guide, picked us up from our hotel with his driver on time and had so much knowledge to share about Peru's history. Just like the tour name suggested, we were able to visit parts of the city that were pre-Incan such as Huaca Pucllana, as well as modern parts such as El Parque del Amor overlooking the Pacific Coast, and the city center where we saw architecture with french and spanish influences from the Colonial period. Unfortunately, there was a government protest happening that day, so parts of the city center were blocked off by the police. However, we got to explore the Catacombs instead underneath the Convent of San Francisco which was amazing to walk through, albeit kinda eery. We also got to see a vast library of books dating back to the 15th thru 17th centuries that were kept by the monks. Luckily all of the books have since been digitized. We had an amazing tour with Renzo and even enjoyed some peruvian churros during our walk. I would highly recommend this tour if you only have 4 hours to spare.

We had an amazing time with Renzo and Yerson guiding us through the city of Lima. They were very informative, entertaining and friendly. Renzo was great answering all of our questions and telling stories. And Yerson’s driving skills in crazy traffic made us feel very safe. I would highly recommend them!

We loved walking around the historic center and going into the church and the catacombs. I wish we could have walked around the archeological site. This is a great way to see highlights of Lima though in a short amount of time. Our tour guide MP was excellent and our driver was a master.

While in Peru in anticipation for a visit to the Amazon, my family and I did to Lima city tour. Our guide was Renzo and he was great. He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed every aspect of the tour and learned a lot about the city. I definitely recommend it while visiting the city.

I enjoyed the tour and I learned a lot. Renzo is a very good guide. The tour is wonderful especially the city centre (old town) part. Suggest the title to be modified as it may create high expectations to see the modern part of Lima Better to focus on the old town in the centre as this is the part where the group will spend time.

This was the perfect tour for our first day in Lima. Our tour guide, Renzo, was fantastic, and honestly one of the best tour guides we've had in all of travels, not just in Peru. He was super knowledgeable, explained things well, and gave great tips and suggestions for our time outside the tour. It felt like we were being given a tour by friends from the city (our driver was an expert at maneuvering the street). We saw and learned all about the main points of interest in Lima - the main square, Cathedral/Convent/Catacombs, Love Park, Olive Forest, and even got a chocolate and pisco tasting. This tour and Renzo's guidance helped us orient ourselves in Lima and made the rest of our stay easy.

We were unsure what to expect from this tour, and it was amazing. Renzo (our guide) made us feel like family and gave us so many interesting details. We really felt like we got to see a lot of the highlights of Peru and to learn all sorts of fun and interesting facts along the way. It was my husband and I and our 2 kiddos (9 and 11). He instantly connected with our kids and happily answered all their questions. Carlos (our driver) was a master at navigating the difficult traffic of Lima and was kind enough to make an extra stop for us at an ATM. During my recent visit to Lima, I was fortunate to have the services of Danilo (and Pedro his driver) and I cannot recommend it enough!! From the moment we started the tour, it became clear that we were in the hands of a passionate and deeply knowledgeable Pro from Lima and his country. Danilo allowed us to get to know the key sites of the historic center, sharing anecdotes and data and even recipes! The itinerary was perfectly organized to eat churros, take our photos, visit the catacombs and adapt the tour to our interest.
