We did not get to go on the tour, as we could not locate the place where we were to be picked up, also we were not provided the time we were to be picked up.

I was very nervous about getting around Lima by ourselves in taxis or uber due to the high crime there so this provided a reassuring way to see historic Lima and Miraflores. Operator was very responsive to questions about meeting point and time and meetup was seamless. Saul was an enthusiastic and delightful guide. Would have liked more time in Miraflores and less in historic church but traffic was awful. Recommend this as a good way to see Lima, much cheaper than a ship tour and discussing with later other Holland American guests our tour sounded much better.
Great experience instead of cruise company Shore tour. Saul, Ismail and Benjamin made the tour complete. Benjamin was excellent driver and felt extremely safe despite difficult traffic conditions. Saul and Ismail made a terrific team giving us lots of relevant info which added to the experience.
What a fantastic day trip! Our tour guide Saul was wonderful. His English was perfect and he was very attentive and professional. We had a great time in Lima. The only suggestion is this day trip should include visiting the Cathedral. All in all Saul made us a very enjoyable day in Lima.
It is quite a long day and quite a lot of walking. Not advisable for people in wheel chairs as uneven ground and steps
Saul and Andres were great guides - knowledgeable and fun to be with for the day. We tasted local fruits at the market in Miraflores, toured the cathedral, basilica and catacombs, learned some history at the main square and had a short visit to an alpaca store. It was a good mix of walking and bus riding. We had a lovely lunch outdoors with lots of local food options and capped off the day at Parque del Amor. *It should be noted that the cruise shuttle bus must be taken from the port to the Indian Market in Miraflores to meet the guides/tour bus. This was not clear from the title of the excursion that there is no possible pickup at the port as it is a huge commercial port lacking cruise ship infrastructure.
A really good trip with a private car, driver and guide. A bit of a mix up with pick up at the Indian Market as the cruise port is a difficult pick up with P&O refusing to let passengers leave at the exit to the port. Once we found each other it was great. Super midday meal and drink. Good information too. No water as promised, but it didn’t spoil the trip.
The tour itself was good, but the experience was very stressful. We had to find a car to get to the meeting point and then waited 1 hour 15 minutes in a dangerous area because the staff weren’t there and only answered local numbers. They eventually sent a car to drop us off at a new meeting point. The tour guide mismanaged time, taking over an hour to reach the restaurant because of a stop at a shop beforehand. The restaurant service was very slow, and the guide did nothing to help. By 3:30 PM, we were exhausted and left the tour early along with another couple. This wasn’t a proper cruise excursion, and the communication was really poor.
Saul and the team are so knowledgable and passionate about their city. The churches and palaces were amazing.
Soul, our guide with Javier, our driver, showed us around Lima in about 6 hours. Soul was passionate about his city. We enjoyed seeing many different areas around Lima.
Leandro spoke excellent English and had great knowledge of the city, including the San Franciscan Monastery and catacombs. He also accommodated our request for a lunch break, taking us to a beautiful restaurant of which we would never have found on our own. Our driver Andre expertly drove us throughout the day quickly and safely, dropping us off at the ship’s shuttle stop in Miraflores - well in good time for our last scheduled bus. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you both!
The staff was responsive; the city guide was knowledgeable; and the guide was friendly and spoke good English. 6 of us throughly enjoyed ourselves!
Very good guide. We enjoyed a very relaxed travel experience, without chasing us to another place of visit. Reserve a very good restaurant for us.
Nice tour of the Highlights of Lima including the main areas downtown and visiting the Cathedral, the San Francisco church, museum and catacombs. Since our tour took place on a Sunday we had the chance to see around the Plaza de Armas several student groups performing music and local dances. We also had at our own expense a lunch at a nice restaurant in the downtown area. Last we visited a local market where we sampled some delicious fruits and visited Love Park with great views of the coast.
Excellent day with very good guides and driver. Very good english. A good day .Once out of the port area the city of Lima was beautiful
Very knowledgeable and friendly Would definitely recommend you give these guys a go. You will not regret it . Far better value than booking similar tour on cruise line excursions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marco & Andreas! Their combined expertise on Lima was outstanding! They made us want to come back to Lima!
Marco and his team were awesome. Initially there was some confusion on our part as to where we were to depart from but that got clarified and then the tour was seamless We were a group of 3 couples so it made hearing the historical information and interacting easy. Lima is a beautiful city and we saw many diverse highlights; including the President’s motorcade returning to the palace!
An excellent tour to take to get a good idea of the whole city. We specifically booked this tour from the Port of Callao for cruises however there was no way they were ever going to pick us up from the port as outside vehicles are not allowed on the port itself, the name of the tour needs to be changed to reflect this. We had to get the ship shuttle bus into Lima and that took 40 minutes, the tour company did advise us beforehand so we could make arrangements however it did mean we had to be off the ship early and leave a good hour before we thought we had too. The company always kept in touch and said they would not go without us.
From pickup to drop off we had a wonderful Lima City Tour. Highly recommend! Tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful.
Tour was great, but Julie, Andreas and bus driver Ben were fantastic. Ben was very helpful with my wife’s walker and Andreas and Julie were very knowledgeable about the city and the history
The tour guide was very pleasant and informative, answering all of our questions. Great overview of the area. Instead of 90 plus minutes for lunch, I would rather have seen the Barranco neighborhood with the murals.
Great guides, toured so many different areas of the city and learned a great deal about the people and history of Lima. Would highly recommend this tour with Lima Discover.
Got to see a lot of great places, and the guide had a lot of great information!!! Perfect if you're on a cruise and want to see the city
Our tour guides were the best! Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, eager to help foreigners understand and appreciate their city and its many years of history. The small group tour allowed for a more intimate understanding and engagement with the tour guides. I highly recommend you do this, especially if you are on a cruise ship stop where the tours based from the cruise line are twice as expensive had have five times as many people.
We had a great tour with Julia, Ismael, and Raoul! They showed us the highlights and were very knowledgeable! Thanks for a wonderful day!
We had one day to see Lima and our money was well spent. This tour was amazing in terms of the itinerary and transportation. While other members of our Norwegian Cruise was stuck in small vans, we were comfortable in our air conditioned large van. The tour guides were informative and went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable. We highly recommend.
The people who worked with Lima Discover are the best! We had a great time, they took good care of us!
Great tour highly recommend. We had 2 guides on the bus explaining Lima Peru. They did an outstanding job. We hit all the highlights of Lima and had enough time to walk around and see it all. Importantly they met us at the cruise pick up point which was 10 min shuttle ride. Easy identify. Total great experience. Highly recommend.
Both Andres and Julia, our guides , were very knowledgeable and gave us so many impressions of Lima, well beyond showing the historical buildings. The talked about history of Lima and of Peru, about the life of the people in Peru, about the famous Peruvian food. And for lunch we were taken to a Peruvian restaurant were we could sample Peruvian specialities. The tour was fascinating.
Great overall city tour. Very professional easy pickup at the cruise port for a small group of around 15 people. Super knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. This is definitely a walking tour, so be prepared for that. I loved it. We covered so much of the city and it’s a great introduction upon arriving to Lima. It’s easy to see what you’d like to explore more if you wish. We stayed in Miraflores after the tour and took an easy Uber to the Larco Museo and Magic Fountains for a truly full sightseeing day. Really a great time.
Appreciated that I could keep in contact by email with tour guides before trip. Meet up went smoothly. Great shuttle driver and 2 terrific guides = Julia and oh no forgot the guy's name. He showed us local fruit. Did parks and churches and catacombs (so interesting) . Even caught changing of the guard. Lunch was authentic and tasty and reasonable price. Even went to Miraflores Love park and drove by Huacas. Everything was perfect. Guides showed and shared their love of Lima. Thanks to all for a spectacular day.
Too much walking on a very hot day, which was not pointed out in the overview before booking. We did not visit the Chocolate Museum at all. Very disappointing.
Seeing the beautiful St. Francisco Church and previous monastery. Love Park area was beautiful too! The tour guides were very knowledgeable too.
As a first time visitor, the tour was a good way to get an introduction to some highlights of the city. We spent most of the time in the Centro Historico part of town, it was interesting to see both the touristic sights and the coming and going of people downtown. Had a good lunch (self paid) at the selected restaurant, and then a brief stop at the Love Park in the wealthy and fashionable Miraflores district by the coast. Our guides provided us with relatable information about Lima, Peru and everyday life, as well as informative descriptions of the sites we visited. The traffic in Lima was pretty bad and it made a long tour feel longer, but it was a good way to get oriented in Lima.
Great guide who was attentive and flexible as well as very informative. What a great tour. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.
We had a wonderful tour with very knowledgeable guides. The places we visited in Lima were beautiful and interesting.
The tour operator in Lima was really good. I would like to mention the guide JULIA and her companion LEANDRO that make all the possible to make this tour magnífico.
A good option for those looking for a tour from the Callao port. Hit the main points of Lima but was short on historical content. Wasted a full hour waiting for people to arrive and fill our bus.
We didn't like any of the cruise ship offerings, so we took this one. They met us with a sign just outside the cruise terminal, and gave us a wonderful set of things to see, capped by a lunch in a nice restaurant on the side of the square. Be sure to order a Pisco Sour as your beverage.
Our guide and driver and second guide were absolutely awesome. This tour surpassed all our expectations.
We had a great tour around Lima city. Our guide Vilko, was excellent, his English was perfect and his knowledge of the city wide and varied, it was like a friend guiding you. The only downside was the 45 minute drive to get into the city, but that’s what you have to do due to the increased security measures. Lima has increased its tourist police and regular police to meet the needs. The vehicle used by the tour company was excellent, fully air conditioned and comfortable. All in all we had an excellent tour and would recommend it.
My wife and I were on a cruise that stopped in Lima. We found the cruise ship tours did not really cover Lima well, found Discover Lima and booked with them. The group was in a van with two guides, (we had Andrew and Julio) so each stop was with a small group. The Old City stops were great, and we got to see the Inca Market, The Park of Love, and Miraflores as well, all in one comfortable and we'll explained tour. We could all ask questions and get answers both on the ride and walking portions, due to the small size, and this added greatly to the experience. Everyone on the tour enjoyed the whole experience and were congratulating themselves for having found the tour.
We usually look for local tours that are similar to those offered by cruise ships, but have smaller groups and cost less. This tour did not disappoint! We were met promptly by our guide and our driver. A second guide was along which was helpful in keeping the group together when walking through the downtown area of Lima. The van was new, bottled water was provided and our guide was knowledgeable and well spoken. As for this particular tour, it provided a great look at some important government buildings and two fabulous churches. We were taken to a local restaurant for lunch (order from the menu, spend as much or as little as you like) and it was a good chance to sample local cuisine. Most importantly bathroom breaks were well spaced and very clean! Five stars for Discover Lima!
Not worth the money. The place of interest we didn’t go at all. He gave us little time in the interesting places and a lot of time for lunch in a expensive but bad food. Didn’t leave the cruise till 10:00 a.m and started back at 3:00p.m.. tour guide was not knowledgeable.
Our very knowledgeable guide Saul provided so much historical information and was a great resource about specific buildings in the city. Even the restaurant stop was great. I would highly recommend this tour.
Very professional. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend Viator for Lima as they were the best and they exceeded my expectations.
Marble our guide met us off the ship shuttle in Lima transferring to a mini coach. Throughout the day she was informative, helpful and humerus. I would well recommend this very interesting and varied tour
We had booked a city tour of Lima with Lima Discovery and our guide Mabel met us at the shuttle bus stop where we transferred to a minibus. Our first stop was a square in the centre of Lima where we stopped to take photos. We drove a bit further then got out of the minibus for a walking tour. We walked to St Peter's church which is built in the style of Seville Cathedral and very beautifully decorated. Then it was a short walk to the church of St Francis. The church used to be a monastery and after viewing the church and the library we went to see the catacombs. These lie beneath the church and house the bones of the monks who died there. Originally the monks were buried in the ground and when their bodies had decomposed they were dug up and their bones were separated and collected into types. They were then displayed in cases and boxes. Leaving the church of St Francis, we walked through the government district to the central square. The tour then stopped at a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch we boarded the minibus again and drove for about 40 minutes to a local artisan market where we bought some souvenirs. Then it was back to the bus. A visit to the Love Park on the coast rounded off a very good tour.
The tour was good but the time visit museum was too long. No time for sighting and took the photos. The service was too slow in the recommendation restaurant. Waste the my time.
