Bruce went above and beyond. This was my first experience on doing a walking tour, I usually pay upfront for a walking tour. Bruce although had an unconventional start with people in the tour starting at different points. After we all meet up we learnt so much about Peruvian history its was truely knowledge information. After our pisco sour, Bruce even went further beyond his need and we all shared a meal out which was exceptional. Truely humble, funny, kind and caring guide, thank you the memories it will last a lifetime.

Bruce was an excellent guide who provided an alternative introduction to Lima and Peru. We learnt a lot on our tour about the history of the country and city. We have since travelled to the north of the country, and we have been able to refer to the knowledge we acquired on Bruce's tour to understand more about the culture here.
Bruce was a fantastic guide for our family. We learned so much about the history of Lima and Peru’ and how locals live and eat. With three kids age 10-13 he was able to make his story telling interesting for everyone. And the food recommendations were great!
Bruce is such an amazing guide with big passion for what he does. He has a remarkable way of storytelling and is so knowledgeable. We had the best time and I can’t recommend Bruce enough! ❤️❤️
This was by far the best food tour I have ever been on! Our guide was super friendly, gave us a bit of history, culture, food background and of course he picked 8 amazing places to try special dishes. We had great time in small group and Bruce was entertaining, polite, kind and gave us lots of tips. 6 stars!
Bruce led our tour which was so much fun that after spending hours learning the history we decided to also book his other tour where we got to experience the nightlife and bars of Lima. Let me add that I’m half Peruvian and having spent many summers coming here, I truly think his tour is the most unique and GENUINE that I have ever experienced and I do consider myself quite the walking tour connoisseur. His Inka Pride Tours are very carefully curated with the perfect mix of fun and learning. I highly recommend him and the company Inka Pride Tours - even if like myself, you already have done other tours …. I promise this was not like anything else I have learned about Peru. My husband and I already booked his other tours. 10/10 !!!!!
The street food tour was one if the 1st things that we did once we arrived in Lima-BEST DECISION! It will be a great intro to the vast, delicious Peruvian cuisine. Bruce was fantastic! He made this tour so fun and took us to some really great spots. Not a tourist was in site, so they were definitely true local spots. Everything we tried was delicious! We learned so much about the cuisine, history, etc that we felt super prepared and had a better idea of the items on the menus. I highly recommend you book a tour with Bruce. This isn't one of those huge group tours run by a large company. It's really a small, local company, which offered a more unique experience. We enjoyed our time with Bruce so much that we also booked him for a tour of the historical center the next day. Both tours ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bruce was great! Very relaxed and friendly and knowledgeable. It was like having a tour from a good friend. And after we all got some food and tried pisco and heard a little more about the darker more hidden side of peru socio-politically
Bruce, the guide, took us on a wonderful tour of the center of Lima. Bruce was extremely knowledgeable on many aspects of Peruvian life and during the tour gave us; historical, cultural and social information that really brought Lima to life. We visited many exciting places in the center and had a great explanation on everything we could see and Bruce was happy to answer any questions we had. The tour ended at a charming restaurant, that Bruce recommended, where we all tried various examples of delicious Peruvian cuisine as Bruce continued to happily answer our questions on life in Lima and Peru
Bruce is phenomenal. Highest recommendation. His knowledge and passion for the socio-cultural and history of Lima/ Peru is enriching. He provides an insightful perspective. His English is great. He’s fun and accommodating. Thanks, Bruce
I had an amazing time on the free walking tour in Lima with Bruce! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about history and culture, and made the entire experience fun and engaging. You can really tell he loves what he does – his energy is contagious! I learned so much about the city, its past and present, and got some great local tips too. Highly recommended if you're in Lima!
I did two tours with Amaru whilst in Lima, and both were excellent. Amaru is knowledgable, incredibly personable and extremely attentive (plus a good photographer if you want a picture taken!). Having done other city tours in Peru I felt like Amaru offers something that shows you more than just the typical tourist areas, and he’s not afraid to shy away from talking about the darker side of the city. I’d recommend these tours for anyone visiting Lima whether you’re solo, in a couple, or in a group.
Excellent tour wondering around the old city center of Lima. Bruce was a great host and a brilliant guide. We all enjoyed our time together. Warmly recommended!
The tour was amazing!!! The catacombes were very surprising. I didn't expect such a basilica with that many details. Amaru has a unique style, muy original y muy friendly. After the tour I booked another tour with him for Barrenco.
We really enjoyed our day with Bruce! We managed to book our tour on a national protest day, and Bruce went the extra mile to make sure our tour went ahead, jumping in a taxi to join us. He’s super knowledgeable and good company, and after the tours took us to a great place to eat in an area of Lima that we would not have discovered without him.
Bruce is a very nice tour guide. He was very understanding when I arrive late because of traffic. I was able to meet the group. He is very natural, charming, knowledgeable and openminded in all senses. All the group was very happy with his performance on the tour. I will recommend him to all my friends. He personally gave me tips on how to take advantage of our days in the city for the LGBT community. Keep in touch!
An interesting and unique tour of Lima’s history. Bruce also offered options along the way (e.g., opportunities to go or not go into churches, recommending snacks, etc). He showed us a great place for Pisco sours afterwards as well. Would recommend!
Bruce has a lot of historical knowledge and shared with us some personal opinions. The tour was organized very well and included some recommendations for dinner, the one I chose was delicious.
Bruce is a an all-around great and personable guy! He talks with depth about Lima, its history and people, local politics, culture, urban cityscape, language, etc. He’s also wuite funny and gives great food reccommendations. All together Bruce is a great guide to the city!
It has been a super interesting and absolutely recommended tour. In addition to discovering the area, Bruce's explanations add a lot of value: they help put everything in context and better understand the history of the place.
This was an exciting tour - I could never have discovered Lima on my own: fascinating markets, interesting stories about the diversity and strength of the city.
