Sergio was a great guide. Spoke proper English and Spanish. It was a very long day. We saw tons of different birds and sea wolf's (lions). Unfortunately, there was only two penguins to be seen. It was very sad. The boat captain said that they are having trouble finding food. Eventually there probably won't be any left in Peru due to el nino. The sand buggy portion was overall good. But I am a scary cat, so I was a little bit scared. I did not sandboard, but my husband did, and unfortunately, he face planted! Make sure you bring a scarf to cover your face cause you will get sand everywhere on you. They do sell them outside of the event by little vendors, for 5 soles which in american money is $1.50 approx. The bus did pick us up at 530am and we were dropped off at 1130pm.

The worst trip I have made. The bus (first seats) was awfuly cold that tomorrow we will be sick. Two times we said to guide, but he did not do anything. The seats were not good. Wifi works very good.
This was an amazing experience! We would recommend this to anyone who wants to see other parts of Peru & learn more about the culture. All of our tour guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. We loved our guide, Arturo, very friendly and helpful for every part of the trip. We did the premium option to see Huacachina, and it was beautiful. It is a long day trip, but definitely worth it.
Overall his was a very fun day. The coordination of pickup and dropoff were great, the bus was in good condition, the tour guides throughout were great. The entire lunch stop it was just people getting a kickback from having the bus stop at a tourist trap little fake town, full of forced sales opportunities for people to hustle you for more money. There was a really cringey drinking competition and a bunch of little pisco/alcohol shots out of a thimble that had nothing to do with the oasis /desert and felt really unnecessary. Similarly, the entire boat ride portion of the day felt like an awkward addition to the day that ate up a lot of time, but I understand it being a separate thing to do nearby, it just wasn't worth the time for our group. If you're browsing different options for visiting the oasis, I strongly suggest finding a tour that just goes to the oasis and spends most of the time there or even overnight. This tour had a lot of "fat" that could be cut and have more time spent having fun on dune buggies, sand boarding, and hanging out around the oasis. We didn't have any choice of lunch or dinner, both places were mediocre at best and we were provided no breakfast. It was an incredibly long day but still fun
It was a great experience from the beginning to the end. Our tour guide helped a lot with recommendations.
Honestly a really long day for not great activities. The boat tour was mid, almost no animals, the pisco tasting was really hot, and extremely tiny cups for “tasting”. Basically a 5 hour bus ride for half a glass of wine and lunch and breakfast you pay for. Also the bus STINKS if you’re in the back. Unfortunately our guide also talked pretty much the entire ride- I think she gave us an hour to sleep in the morning and talked the straight four hours back from 7-11pm. The sand dune buggy was by far the best part, sadly the shortest. It was way too hot with 0 AC for this type of thing. I had high expectations based off other reviews but seriously don’t waste your money, spend your day in Lima doing something else.
The trip is very organized. All the activity details are well explained by our tour guide. The places that we visited is so amazing and beautiful. The boat ride to the island is amazing. I enjoyed the buggie ride and the sand boarding, definitely recommended. The sunset is so beautiful! This trip, however, is a bit long but you can sleep and rest during the long bus ride.
A quite intense one-day tour. Pretty well organized, so everything went smoothly without any problems. The guide, Katherine Bamdin, created atmosphere of excitement in the group, and managed the intense schedule quite well.
Good value for the price, day extremely packed but a lot of time in the bus to rest so it’s well balanced. Katherine was an amazing guide, very helpful and nice. This is my first solo trip and it was good to have someone to count on.
This was a very affordable, jam-packed, and well-coordinated day trip! I made some new friends, experienced new things like seeing sea lions up close. The sand dunes and buggies were a core memory I made and watching the sunset with everyone was beautiful! Katherine is so friendly, well organized and overall a very good tour guide! I would book another tour with Katherine and this company. Highly recommend! :)
This all day trip with Kath was incredible - I’d never done a trip like this before and Kath’s knowledge of the itinerary made me feel so at ease. Her English was perfect, and each part of the tour was so unique and so much fun. Would HIGHLY recommend doing this tour, and deffo worth doing all the sand dunes bits too! The boat and vineyard was amazing as well. Wow wow wow super happy with the full day! Thank you Kath 🫶
Amazing experience all round! Saw so much in one day, perfect if you’re on a time crunch in Peru. Our guide Katherine was super helpful and knowledgeable about everything. She was great at communicating all logistics with us from start to end. A seamless and very memorable day.
The trip more than matched my expectations. A good way to see and experience some Peru’s great attractions. Our guide, Kathrine, was excellent everything was organised well and ran smoothly as well as being extremely friendly and helpful.
Awesome tour! It's a long day but definitely worth it. Suggest doing the premium package to not have to worry about paying anything along the way however food is not included so just be mindful of that. The tour did provide option for dinner with a link to order so food was ready once we arrived. Katherine was a great host and super helpful and detailed along the whole trip.
Katherine was great. She was very helpful and a kind woman. Made everything smooth and easy. Had an amazing time
Our guide (juancho) was the best, great attitude and super charismatic also our driver Jesus.
Juancho is amazing! Well organized!
Best experience ever, our tour guide , Juancho, was very professional same as the driver, Jesus, Everything was on time, Huacachina was the best part of the tour.
This day tour was such a blast. The Huacachina portion alone is well worth the price. Our guide Juancho was excellent: informative, thorough, charismatic, and overall great at managing the logistics of moving our large group through multiple locations and keeping us on time. Highly recommend!
Had a great time never expected to have so much fun. I will definitely book this on my next visit to peru
It was well organized and the guide was nice. I would definitely do it again
We had a really great experience. Full package, entire day filled with lots of activities! Thanks Juancho and Jesus!
Everything was perfectly organized, and Juancho put all his energy and enthusiasm into making sure we had the best possible day. The buggy ride and sandboarding were fantastic experiences, made even more special by a beautiful sunset over the desert dunes. We highly recommend this excursion, and a big thank you to Juancho for making it such a memorable day!
It was a great day! We love our guide Juancho. He was very friendly and always very concerned about how everyone in the group respected each other regarding timings etc. Absolutely recommend this tour!
We had a great day with Juncho, it was a perfect host and took very good care of us. Jesus drove us around very smoothly and always on time. Super recommended
Paulo was amazing, he ensured everyone was included and had a wonderful time. Paulo was the best guide I have ever had.
I booked this trip, and it was worth every penny! 🤩 Our guide, Pablo, was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed and appreciated his attention to detail, and everything was very well organized from start to finish. The Premium tour itself is definitely worth it! The food was good, the buggy ride was truly like a roller coaster 😂, and the best part was definitely the sandboarding! 🏂 It’s not as scary as it looks, so don’t let that stop you from trying it! Overall, an amazing experience and truly worth the money. I would definitely recommend it! 🏜️✨
This experience was Exhilarating. Hectic because of time waking up early and getting back to Lima late but I love it. Worth every penny and my tour guide Catherine was so caring almost like a mother taking care of her kids
Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Paulo Guzman was just amazing! He was full on energy, looked after everyone , helped us and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Paulo also made sure we were doing things on time so we don't miss out on anything.
Such a fun experience! I loved the boat tour and pisco winery but the absolute best part was the dune buggying in the sand dunes. Best part of our trip! The tour guide was fun and made the whole experience worthwhile.
Excellent tour, totally worth it if you ever visit Lima. Our tour guide Jacqueline was amazing, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended
Great experience, best tour guide Jackie!! Happily recommend to anyone wanting to do this! Great food and great hospitality throughout the whole day with everyone involved in it!
A totally enjoyable experience. 10/10 would recommend.
The experience itself was good and well-planned; however, the guide, Maria, failed to handle an issue on the bus effectively. A woman was preventing us from reclining our seat, and when we reached out to Maria for a peaceful resolution, she simply suggested that we move to different seats—rather than asking the person whose behavior was causing the problem to move. My girlfriend and I just wanted to exercise our right to recline our seat during the return trip, which lasts approximately three hours.
So much fun! Long day but so worth it! There was even an issue with the bus but they were able to resolve it quickly and effeciently. Paulo was a great guide. Kind and knowledgeable. Thanks so much!
We were able to spot sea lions, penguins, pelicans and dolphins on the boat trip. The buggy tour, however, was the highlight of the trip, ending with a sunset. However, it was very cold on the bus both on the way there and on the way back. Pablo is a very good guide!
We had a great day. Our guide was Paulo Guzman who did an excellent job. He kept it entertaining and fun. He is Peruvian but his command of English is incredible after years of living in Idaho in the USA. The lunch was filling and delicious. So much so that we chose not to do the takeout meal option at the end of the day. The boat tour to the Ballestas islands was fun and we saw sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins and many sea birds. The buggy tour and sand boarding activity was exhilarating and we watched a beautiful sunset.
Our guide, Pablo Guzman, was excellent. He was energetic, positive attitude and knowledgeable. Pablo kept us informed throughout the trip. The experiences of each location was wonderful, the highlight was the buggy ride on sand dunes along with a beautiful sunset. Great job, I highly recommend the trip.
Paulo was very nice, gun, and made everybody make comfortable.
We had a wonderful time and our tour guide was Maria. She was very accommodating and helpful all day long and went above and beyond her host duties. It was a long day, but we had plenty of time for bathroom breaks in between activities and the bus we had for the day was a comfortable way to travel. This was our first time to Peru- highly recommend this to first-timers! A great way to see lots of culture and landscape mixed in with yummy Pisco, beautiful sunset, exhilarating dune buggy rides and beautiful views along the way. The islands were amazing. We saw a mix of birds, dolphins, seas lions, penguins and crabs.
It was an amazing experience. Very special shout out to our guide Katherine Bandin, she was very informative, patient & lovely.
Kath was a great tour guide... guide was well thought out logistically and overall great experience. 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Katherine was an amazing guide and this was one for the books! Get ready for a day that's going to add at least 1000 new photos on your gallery. Great food, drinks, people, activities and VIEWS!
Best host ever! Full day trip with Kath = 10/10. So friendly, organized, and fun. She made our day extra special. Highly, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Everything about this trip was amazing. Drop off was easy as they personally picked each of us at our specific hotels. The bus was large with comfortable seats and had wifi and air conditioning. For the value getting to do a sea tour and seeing exciting and unique animals in their natural habitats, delicious lunch and fun wine tasting, and then of course the trip through the desert of peru was amazing and thrilling. On top of all of this our tour guide was the star of our trip, Katherine did amazing organizing everything, making sure we had time to enjoy all events and activities throughly, and did a great job explaining it all. You can tell she is a kind and caring person and has lots of love for her beautiful home country of Peru. I would recommend this to anyone, it’s a must book!
Kath is the best! She provided everything and made the day very smooth and organized.
Good experience and Catherine was helpful friendly and nice.
The trip and the crew were wonderful, and the whole experience was amazing! Our guide, Jacqueline, made it even more enjoyable with her fun spirit and thoughtful attention. Thank you!
Another place I enjoyed during my stay in Peru was this spot. I went on a group tour through the dunes to watch the sunset—it was truly magical. I loved the adrenaline rush, and the sandboarding was absolutely fantastic.
