Starbucks is the meeting point where you will meet our tour guide. We will visit the most important spot in Barranco. We will stop to take photos and explain the history of Barranco, the street art, graffiti and murals.
We will begin the tour by walking through the streets and explaining the highlights of Barranco. The district is considered the most bohemian in the city, being the home and workplace of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers.
We will explain the actual meaning of the graffitis in 28 de Julio Avenue. The Chicha Art, the Magic and Barrancos Fish-Map
Walk along Bajada de Baños, through the Hermitage, Bridge of Sighs.
We will walk across the Bridge of Sighs, a traditional wooden bridge shrouded in an air of romance, having been the place that started countless love affairs in Lima. It ends on the beach or with a great view of the green coast (or both!)

Giovanna was an amazing guide. Her knowledge of Lima's history was extensive and the way she tied together all the wonderful murals and history was fascinating.
This tour was a nice introduction to Barranco’s central square and murals, along with some local history. It was casual yet informative. Our guide’s perspective and pace was great.
Yoced was a great guide for this walking tour. He talked about the history of Peru and of the Barranco neighborhood, using interesting photos and his knowledge and humor. We walked around and saw lots of colorful wall murals and Yoced knew the story behind each one, speaking about various singers, racism, public education, etc. I took some good photos and learned a lot. I highly recommend Yoced as a guide!
We got to see and meet different parts of the district of Barranco, learning about their history and development through the street art, from singers to political figures, and how everyone get to support in their own way the city. Our tour guide, Angie, was passionate about the art and the artists involved and knew how to introduce the different aspects to better understand the impact they might have had to peruvian people.

We had a great time with our guide, Geraldine, on the Barranco street art tour. She was so knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to pockets of the neighbourhood that we would not have uncovered on our own. Hearing the stories behind the art, and about the artists themselves, brings another layer of appreciation. We were grateful for Geraldine’s recommendations for bars, cafes and restaurants, too. Thank you for a great morning!
Did the barranco walking tour in may 2026. It was a great experience and Guide Geraldine was super nice and very knowledgeable. She gave us lots of information on the history of barranco and Lima as a whole, as well as shared many interesting stories about the beautiful street art in the neighbourhood. It was a small group which made for a more personal experience. Recomended!
Our guide Geraldine was great! She gave us some great info on Barranco and the artists from this community
My husband and I took the tour with Yoced/Joseph. He gave a great overview of the history of Barranco as well as the background of the street murals. I appreciated that he also had details on a large ipad which help bring the history and Peruvian figures to life through maps, images and music. We saw so many murals -- I took 19 photos which did not capture all of them!
Incredible, Yoced had incredible English and it was amazing to hear about the history of the area, the war, all the artists. He was very kind, knowledgeable and was happy taking photos and answering questions not just about Barranco but life in Lima and Peru.
What a tour in Barranco! It is so beautiful, colorful. The tour was so joyful and memorable thanks to Mr. Arturo’s professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic guidance.
Giovana was a great guide. She gave a brief history of Peru and then showed how that history was expressed in some of the street art throughout the tour.
Our guide Yoced was informative and friendly and we truly enjoyed exploring Barranco with his knowledge of the area
Diego Alonso, our guide, made the Colourful Barranco Tour and Art so amazing. He was very knowledgeable and passionate to share his knowledge in an interesting and friendly manner. His ability to communicate was of a very high standard and he took the time to ask what particularly interested us. He went over and above the call of duty, and clearly cared about his profession. He took great pride in delivering an extra special tour for us. We would highly recommend a tour with Diego.

I had a really great time walking Barranco with Arturo. He was very knowledgeable and fun , Barranco is a must see in Lima for art lovers
The tour started at 10am; and I arrived at 10:08am sharp. I messaged the tour guide, Yelsin to say I would be running late and he responded to say “I have to start at 10am”. I completely understand. He shared his live location- and said - I should meet him. I struggled a bit with the location so I ended up walking around on my own. Honestly, I am soooo glad I did- best decision. I walked at my pace: visiting museums and all the beautiful artwork were in reach. You are definitely 💯 are able to do the walk on your own without a guide. It’s super easyyyy. I think however having a tour guide, will give you a deeper historical perspective. But if want to be able to walk around, take your own pics at your own pace, go to museums (all are free btw)- then just head to the Barranco district and tackle it. If you take a guide, I’m sure they will assist you perfectly. Other Pros: -promptly communicated the day before the tour (by giving information in advance re meeting point) Cons: -no grace period. Ensure you are on time. No follow up from guide. Once the tour starts ; that’s it. While I’ve seen other tours be flexible - within a 5-10 min grace period (eg. they do introductory talks, outline the trip in the interim)- especially as a tourist not being from the area- this company is not flexible. But I completely understand from their perspective- because punctuality is on the part of the customer. So BE ON TIME if you are booking this tour. Feedback to company: -extend a bit of grace and patiently assist customers with directions.
Guide did a great job (I know I messed his name up!) nice guy and lots of great info. Got to see all of the art and took us to the coast too
Yelsin did a fabulous job showing us around the Barranco neighborhood. He is very knowledgeable and made sure we had enough time for pictures
