Itinerary
Day 1
1
Arrival to the city of Lima, assistance, and transfer to the hotel. An exclusive and intense tour of the Historical Center of Lima will take us to know and admire the architectonic relics that are part of the old Lima, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Convent of Santo Domingo is the beginning of this magnificent experience. It was built during the foundation of Lima. The Universidad Mayor de San Marcos (University of San Marcos) was founded on this site, the oldest in America. Inside, the choir with the oldest stalls in the country; and the library, with 25,000 books, some printed in the XV century, has an invaluable historical value. The mortal remains of San Martín de Porres, San Juan Masías and Santa Rosa de Lima lie inside. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace and the Municipality, going into the Cathedral, a jewel in the history of Lima, with artworks that will make us feel closer to colonial Lima.
Leaving downtown Lima and heading to the Larco Museum, where we will get a clear vision of the cultures that inhabited ancient Peru. We shall admire the gold pieces, textiles and erotic ceramics that are part of the collection which will introduce us to the cosmovision of the ancient Peru. The warehouse of this museum will be open during our visit to appreciate the expressions of art that were reflected in their ceramics.
Day 2
2
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.
In the heart of Cusco once stood the majestic Temple of the Sun, known as Korikancha, the most important religious site in the Inca Empire. It was dedicated to Inti, the Sun God, and according to legend, its walls were entirely covered in sheets of pure gold, which dazzled the Spanish conquerors upon their arrival. Today, the Convent of Santo Domingo stands atop its foundations, symbolizing the fusion of Inca and colonial architecture. Though much of the gold was looted, the finely cut stonework of the Incas remains, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of this sacred place.
Visit the impressive **Cathedral of Cusco**, one of the most important colonial monuments in Peru and a symbol of the city’s rich cultural heritage. Built on the foundations of an Inca palace, the cathedral houses an extraordinary collection of **colonial-era paintings**, many from the famed Cusco School of Art, blending European techniques with indigenous symbolism. Among its treasures is the **original cross** brought by the first Spanish conquistadors, a powerful emblem of conquest and faith. Ornate altars, carved wooden choir stalls, and countless artistic details make this visit an immersive journey into the art, history, and spirituality of Cusco.
Ascent to the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, where the tour begins at the awe-inspiring fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a site filled with spiritual energy and panoramic views of Cusco. This remarkable complex is built with huge stone blocks, some standing over 4 meters high, perfectly fitted without mortar—a testimony to Inca engineering. The journey continues to Q'enqo, a ceremonial center carved into rock, featuring a mysterious altar used for rituals and sacrifices. Next, visit Tambomachay, also known as the Inca Baths, where sacred springs flow through finely crafted aqueducts. On the way back, enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucará, an ancient military outpost that once protected the sacred city. This half-day tour offers a captivating glimpse into the religious and ceremonial life of the Incas, blending history, architecture, and nature in the highlands of Peru. Ideal for travelers seeking cultural insight and awe-inspiring landscapes close to Cusco.
Day 3
3
Today, we set out to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a breathtaking region nestled between majestic mountain ranges and crossed by the fertile Urubamba River. This valley was highly valued by the Incas for its climate, agricultural potential, and strategic location, and it continues to enchant travelers with its natural beauty and deep cultural roots.
Our first stop will be the Inca archaeological site of Pisac, perched high on a mountain overlooking the valley. Pisac is one of the most impressive and well-preserved complexes in the Sacred Valley, offering a remarkable display of Inca engineering, agricultural terraces, and religious structures. From the summit, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the colonial village of Pisac, spread out below in harmony with its surroundings. After exploring the ruins, we descend to the village itself, where narrow cobbled streets and charming adobe houses reveal the colonial character built upon Inca foundations. We’ll walk through the local artisan market, one of the most famous in the region. This is the perfect opportunity to shop for handmade textiles, ceramics, silver jewelry, and other traditional crafts directly from local artisans, many of whom continue to use techniques passed down through generations.
Later, tour of the Inkariy Museum to visit the different halls with exhibits of representations of the pre-Hispanic cultures of ancient Peru. Lunch. Visit to the Yucay Live Culture Center, tourist complex were the local settlers will show us their techniques of weaving and dying of traditional textiles, making of the adobes, preparation of the traditional chicha, a drink made of corn, and a close encounter with the Andean camels: llamas and alpacas.
Day 4
4
Today, explore the wonders of the Sacred Valley, beginning with Moray. This fascinating site features circular Inca terraces believed to be an agricultural laboratory, where up to 20 different microclimates were recreated. It showcases the advanced knowledge the Incas had of farming and environmental adaptation.
Continue your journey to the charming village of Maras, home to one of the most unique and ancient sites in the Sacred Valley — the famous salt mines. These salt pans have been used since pre-Inca times and are still worked by local families today. Thousands of small, shallow pools carved into the mountainside are filled with salty spring water that evaporates under the sun, leaving behind pure salt. The stunning contrast between the gleaming white pools and the surrounding red clay hills creates a surreal landscape, perfect for unforgettable photographs.
Day 5
5
The much-awaited day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Boarding at the Ollantaytambo station. Departure in the selected train. Arrival at the Machu Picchu station. Assistance, from our staff to board the bus that will ascend up a winding road, with a spectacular view of the Urubamba River which forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will greet us with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites and urban areas. Energy exudes from the whole place. Lunch. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Lodging.
Day 6
6
Departure on a tour bus to Puno. On the way we’ll stop to visit the attractions this beautiful route has to offer. The first stop: Andahuaylillas for a visit to its beautiful chapel, then its Racchi, Temple of the Wiracocha god where the walls and narrow streets stand out. Then it’s lunch time and the opportunity to see the view at La Raya, natural border between Cusco and Puno. Before our final destination we will visit the in site Pucara Museum and a chance to get one of the local classic bull shaped ceramics. We will arrive in Puno at the end of the afternoon.

Excelent tours, punctuality, and guides knowledge was amazing. We has an amazing time. We highly recommend this agency!
The excursions to Cusco, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca were the most impressive. We thank the guide Ilicht for his professionalism. The only unpleasant thing was the lack of a prepaid transfer to Lima airport at the end of the tour. But thanks to the guide Roger we managed to not miss the flight.
Such a well planned tour, and all I did was pick the touring company. The touring company contracted with local tour guides and everything was taken care of. The tour guides told me when and where to meet them in the morning, and would drop me off at the hotel in the evening. They were very courteous, kind and knowledgeable. The history and culture shared made it more memorable. Some went out of the way to help me. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and taken care of. Really recommend them.
Amazing tour! The guides were knowledgeable, on time, and the tours were very interesting. The hotel accommodations were very good as well. Highly recommend!
Beautiful country and friendly local people, everything is good except the following, 1. we finished Marchu-Picchu ruin at 11:30 AM, all of the group members with the same English guide were told they can stay inside as long as they want. For me and my friend, we were told we need to get out right away to pick up our lunch ticket. WTF of the reason, it could be handled before we get inside, it ended up for me to rush in and out Machu-Picchu in 2 hours.2. After Machu-Picchu, we stayed at Hotel Ferre Machu picchu for 26 hours, from 12:30AM until the next day 3:20PM for the train back to CUSCO, without any activity , there was nothing we can do at the town we stayed. It could be arranged for us to stay in Ollantaytambo or back to CUSCO, so that we could explore sacred city . My 15% trip time, out of 8 days, was wasted.3. For all our 8 days trip , we don't know the schedule of each day, until a message was sent to the hotel front desk in the evening before. It is not an organized operation. Something is wrong with the operation.4. I sent 3 e-mails and also called in to require the name/date of hotel we would stay, but no answer. If I got the hotel and schedule, the 26 hours would not be wasted.Based on above reasons, I don't know whether I should recommend Viator to my friend or not. :)
The services are excellent. The guides are experienced, knowledgeable, and very happy to share a bit of Peruvian culture with the travelers.
The company and its service providers are wonderful. Attentive, friendly guides who brought us greater knowledge about the history of Peru. Everything that was agreed upon was fulfilled. Finally, I will buy another package with the company if I travel to Peru again. PS. Silvério the guide, with his patience, knowledge, and goodwill to record this special moment in our lives deserves a special note!!!! Thank you very much!!!!
Very good agency. Very good guides
Fantastic, splendid, stunning, wonderful and a dream fulfilled.
Wonderful!!! Beautiful places! Perfect train trip. Just a reserve for the hotel, bad shower, we took a bath in the cold water. Even after reporting the problem .
The correct name of the tour is “Peru, reborn from an empire”. A spectacular trip. We enjoy landscapes, cities, culture, history.... Gastronomy!!!! (Among the best in the world, without a doubt) Both the VIPAC agency (in Peru) and the agency of my country where we hire (Tudo bem, in Santa Fe), excellent everything: coordination, communication, punctuality, organization, quick resolution of small problems that have arisen outside them, kindness and total correction. All experienced guides, great knowledge of Peruvian history and culture, all attentive and friendly. I recommend everything 100%. Peru is an amazing country!
On all the tours the team of guides and drivers was extremely punctual. All very kind, polite and with extensive knowledge about each point visited. I highlight the professionals Abdon, Daniel, Renzo and Juan Carlos. Sensational!!!
Excellent service all delicious all staff treat you excellent Loved the trip the food the hotels and. 1st Service
Excellent Service. Our week-long tour included transfers, bus and train tickets, entrance to the main attractions with guide. Some lunches.
The whole organization of the trip was exemplary, never failed anything. All the guides were very good and I learned and saw very beautiful things. I advise all people to visit Peru with this agency. Thank you for everything
I have traveled a lot but I always set up my script and followed it on my own, but in this special trip I decided to hire an agency and it was the most accurate! A unique and very good experience.
Highly trained and knowledgeable staff of local history, providing detailed information. Organizing the schedules of the tours and taking care of personal health. Well crafted timetable. Efficient Transfer Service.
The Vipac staff was impeccable on our trip. From the scheduling services, as well as the ability of the guides, very well prepared and knowledgeable of history, with easy transmission of information. Let us especially thank the Cuzco team, on behalf of Lilás, who gave us all the support during the strike that made access to Machu Picchu impossible and managed to transfer the date to know this beauty of the world heritage.
An unforgettable experience! Careful guides History of ancient civilization Places where nature is stunning
Really magical.Beautiful links Vipac staff, guides and staff were fantastic and super punctual. Always with all care of us to receive and accompany on all tours
Excellent everything: transfers, friendliness, quality of tours, experience, treatment and knowledge of guides... Highly recommended! Thanks for everything!
I recommend this company because the attention of its staff (guides, drivers, tour organizers) was very professional and friendly. The places visited, wonderful. Very good hotels and food, modern and comfortable means of transport. And above all I highlight PUNCTUALITY!
Great coordination and management of Vipac. Grateful especially with our guide Hector (great photographer, also). Helen who was always watching and Mrs. Chavuca for her kindness.
Good morning! We have made a beautiful tour in zone three of Machu Picchu, wonderful place and excellent explanation of the tour guide, plus they have perfectly met the estimated train and bus schedules, they waited for us at all times. We had included buffet at lunch, also excellent service and food.
An amazing journey extraordinary places of nature very good attention and service of the guides demonstrating their attention and knowledge in the history and culture We were lucky to have practically a private tour
I was very impressed with your services and services. All the absolutely punctual transfers, the very good guides, the amazing tours and the hotels we also liked.
Amazingly charming places. Extraordinary journey! Careful, organized and punctual staff. I recommend! I will definitely return to Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu! ❤️
Very nice everything!! Landscapes, hotels, people, objects....Every day I was more surprised with their typical foods and their craft objects and whatnot to be saying those lush landscapes.
Peru amazing. Very good guides except one who seemed not to be hira to pick us up on arrival by plane. Highly recommended
Excellent travel, coordination, guides, always in touch for what is needed, hotels, places, buses..... Everything and absolutely everything excellent....
Fantastic panorama, great, without seeing it you can not believe the titanic work developed by those people with the means they had
Excellent everything! Guides, buses, hotels, coordination. We thank you for all the service provided and will definitely recommend them.
It was an extraordinary experience... landscapes, gastronomy, culture... Separate paragraph for VIPAC company...responsibility, logistics, timeliness.. Excellent experience
The agency provides a good service, but is extremely more expensive than the others. Not worth the cost benefit. Peru has many travel agencies and it is worth looking. Excellent transfer services, tours too. We are experienced travellers and we did other tours on the same trip with another company with much better cost benefit
We were surprised by the natural beauties, the history, culture, food showed us. Excellent company service, we recommend it 100%.
Great company. Punctual, attentive throughout the trip, guides with a lot of historical and cultural knowledge. New, comfortable buses and vans.
All interactions with Vipac staff, always with a lot of sympathy, availability and effectiveness. Of the many transfers made always on time and without delays. The tours are interesting and with lots of information.
Extreme quality service. Guia Carlos maravilhoso. We were well served from beginning to end Hotéis bons. Super index
The altitude differences are not to be underestimated, so we found the trip impressive but also very strenuous. But this is of course subjective;-) Our guide was great, always punctual and prudent. We have and always felt safe and well informed. Thanks, Alvero!
Your fantastic guides with a lot of knowledge that allowed us to know more about the Inca civilization and customs traditions of this your Peruvian people so kind sympathetic friendly and smiling
I didn't like the coordination. On day 1 in the afternoon I was told that I would change the itinerary of day 2, join it with day 3, change the day of machu Pichu and Moray and give me the day off. Total that on day 2 they do what I was told (but did not complete all the visits that were contracted for two 2 and 3, obvious for lack of time) at night they tell me that the next day I would be free, when that was not what I had previously been informed, so I ask with the coordinator, she tells me that she would repeat on day 3, that in the end we no longer took, and that the plan would return to the original program. Leisure never returned because not all scheduled visits on the 2nd and 3rd were completed. I really found the organization and information bad. I definitely do not recommend them.
Excellent logistics all in order and very helpful. Beautiful landscapes. Places worth visiting more than once. Very good food. Just a little complicated the altitude sickness but still enjoyed to the fullest
The landscapes are different, the food is exotic, the stories are interesting and the tourism is well done. The guides were great, with the exception of one who took us from Cusco to Puno (she talks too much and is too esoteric!). It's a shame that in Lima, we arrived late at Parque do Amor, due to chaotic traffic. In general, the people are very polite and hospitable. This trip was really worth it!
Breathtaking landscapes, experienced and excellent guides, incredible places, lots of history, history of a wonderful people
A wonderful experience! Guides that exceed expectations, personalized accompaniment with total safety, companies that make the trip unmatched, stays with much more than what is needed... I would always choose them again... They have left us looking forward to much more Peru with their excellent coordination and attention. Wonderful people... Thank you very much for such a good experience!
We spent 2 weeks in Peru and enjoyed everything we did. Lake Tikka, Puno, Machi Picchu, Cusco, Rainbow Mountain etc. Everything under expert guidance and preparation by the guides of Vipac Travel.
I traveled alone without any problems!!! Everything was very well combined, I was never left without help at any point! I would definitely come back, with Vipac! Best choice I made.
The guides and staff were VERY attentive, at no time did I feel neglected. If anything, since there are different guides, on several visits they repeat the same comments... There were visits to craft workshops that were unnecessary, there was economic interest...
Punctual, friendly and attentive. The guides are excellent, they gave us a lesson in local customs and cultures. Stunning and enchanting landscapes.
