Itinerary
Day 1
1
We begin the journey with door-to-door pickup from your hotel or hostel in Miraflores, Barranco, or San Isidro. Board your Peru Hop bus with onboard high-speed Wi-Fi, perfect for catching up on messages as we leave bustling Lima behind and head south along the scenic Pacific coast. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed via Viator chat prior to departure.
Rise and dine! We make a special breakfast stop at Mirasur, a countryside restaurant famous for its oven-fresh breads, baked on-site every morning using traditional clay ovens. It’s the perfect place to stretch your legs, sip a coffee, and try a warm, crusty roll straight from the flames - a true local treat you won't find in Lima.
Step into Peru’s complex colonial past with a visit to the elegant Hacienda San José - now a 5-star hotel, but once a major hub of the Spanish plantation system. Beneath its manicured gardens lies a labyrinth of underground tunnels, used to illegally smuggle slaves 17 km from the coast. Walk through the dark corridors and hear the stories that shaped Afro-Peruvian identity. It’s moving, unforgettable, and unlike anything you’ll see in a typical tour.
We arrive in Paracas around 1:30 PM - a chilled-out seaside town where desert meets ocean. The afternoon is yours to unwind, stroll the Malecón, enjoy oceanfront lunch, or simply relax by the bay. Want more adventure? Ask your guide about optional excursions like the Golden Shadow Trek, a hidden gem in the Paracas National Reserve offering incredible sunset views.
Day 2
2
At 8:00 AM, board a fast, open-air speedboat and cruise across the Pacific to the Ballestas Islands, often called Peru’s Galápagos. Along the way, marvel at the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph, etched into the desert hillside. As you circle the islands, you’ll be surrounded by sea lions, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and maybe even dolphins - all in their wild, natural habitat. Don’t forget your camera - this is one of Peru’s top nature spectacles.
From 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, venture deep into the Paracas National Reserve, where towering cliffs, colorful beaches, and surreal desert landscapes meet the roaring sea. Your guide will explain the ecological and cultural significance of this vast protected zone - home to thousands of bird species and marine life. Upgrade to a guided quad bike (ATV) adventure across the dunes - ask your guide to book it on the spot.
Depart Paracas aboard your Peru Hop bus around 12:30 PM and head inland to Huacachina, the only natural desert oasis in South America. You’ll arrive by 2:00 PM and have some time to settle in, explore the palm-lined lagoon, or grab lunch at one of the open-air cafés overlooking the water.
At 4:30 PM, it’s time for the adrenaline highlight of the trip. Strap into a high-powered dune buggy and speed across the towering sand dunes like a rollercoaster in the desert. Then, grab a board and learn to sandboard down these monster slopes - whether standing, sitting, or even belly-down. Sunset over the dunes paints the sky in golds and pinks for that perfect Instagram moment.
After the thrills, wind down in the relaxed vibe of Huacachina by night. Explore the village, sip pisco cocktails at a rooftop bar, or enjoy a local dinner overlooking the lagoon. You'll stay overnight in Huacachina, resting up for the final leg of your adventure.
Day 3
3
Your final day kicks off with a flavorful dive into Peruvian tradition. At Pisco Nietto, one of the region’s most respected vineyards, enjoy a guided walkthrough of the entire pisco-making process - from grape harvest to distillation. Wander through the vineyard, peek inside clay fermentation jars, and step into an on-site bodega where time-tested techniques meet modern craftsmanship. Then comes the best part: tasting multiple varieties of pisco, from dry and citrusy to smooth and aged. Don’t forget to grab a bottle or two as souvenirs!
From 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM, the afternoon is yours to soak up Huacachina at your own pace. Choose your vibe: • Chill by the pool under the endless desert sun with a cocktail in hand • Climb the dunes for one last panoramic view of the oasis ringed by sand mountains • Browse artisan markets, enjoy a late lunch at a rooftop restaurant, or try a quick paddleboat ride on the lagoon This block of time gives you space to unwind or explore, depending on your mood - a rare luxury on most multi-day tours.
We’ll depart Huacachina around 7:00 PM, just after sunset paints the dunes gold one last time. Sit back aboard your comfortable, air-conditioned Peru Hop bus - a luxury coach with reclining seats, an onboard restroom, and onboard high-speed Wi-Fi - for the journey back to Lima. Expect to arrive around 11:45 PM, where you’ll be dropped off directly at your hotel or hostel (as long as it’s within our designated drop-off zones).

All 3 guides were top - Juanchino, Arturo and Neil. All helpful and caring, which made the trip really pleasant.
Deborah is a fun guide. Highly recommend peruhop to get from one city to another. Tours are good as well
I had an excellent time on my Peru Hop tour. My tour guide Raul was very friendly and informative throughout the trip.
Peru Hop was a great and organised way to get around Peru and very nice and helpful tour guide named Raul. Included tours were good and added extra tours were also good and for a cheap price.
Our host was Raul from Lima to Arequipa. He was an amazing host, very funny, helpful and made us really enjoy our time.
The guide Raul is absolutely amazing. He made sure that everything worked constantly.
Peru Hop is definitely the best way to visit Peru. So well organised and provide best tour options. Our host Raul was welcoming and always willing to help. His knowledge was also great.
Raul is magical! Not only is he the handsomest man I’ve ever seen, he is also kind and generous and reassuring. We knew we were taken care of every step of the way!
Peru Hop with our amazing guide/host Miguel has been the perfect introduction to Peru. Everything from transfers to excursions and lunches have worked smoothly. Especially for someone whose Spanish is very limited, Peru Hop is a good option. Traveling with Peru Hop is like a fusion where you take the best from the group tour consept and the backpacker consept. Drivers have also been great!
The trip was fabulous. Miguel, my guide was absolutely fantastic. Energetic, fun, knowledgeable, and most importantly genuine, kind, and helpful. It was my first time traveling solo in a foreign country and he helped make it a lovely experience.
My experience with Peru Hop was excellent. Everything was very well organized and made travelling around Peru easy and enjoyable. The buses were well equipped, with comfortable seats and working Starlink wifi, which was a huge bonus on some of the longer travel days. Our tour guides really made the experience. Roberto was amazing. His knowledge, passion for Peru, and the history he shared along the way made the trip that much more memorable. Later in the tour, we were joined by Pedro, who was an awesome guy and brought so much energy and good times to the journey. I found Peru Hop to be one of the best priced options for getting around Peru. The additional tours they offered were also very reasonably priced compared to other operators, and I never felt like we were being overcharged. Even the restaurants they brought us to had great Peruvian food at very reasonable prices. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Peru. A big thank you to Peru Hop, Roberto, Pedro, and the rest of the team for making this a trip I’ll always remember. Highly recommend!
I cannot express enough how simple and convenient this tour service was. Everything was planned and organized to perfection. I want to give a massive shoutout to our tour guides Roberto and Pedro. They went above and beyond to make the experience much more enjoyable and fun. Roberto has a great knowledge of the history of Peru and provided a lot of insight of the area and helpful tips for travel. This tour has a ton of included add-ons, and many of the suggested tours and restaurants are very reasonably priced. Thanks again for such an amazing trip Roberto and Pedro! 🇨🇦
My girlfriend and I had the best experience with Peru hop. Great value for money, so well organised, and fantastic customer service! Our guides Roberto and Pedro were fantastic, and more than we could’ve asked for! Would highly recommend!
Great guide George- well organised and comfortable No nasty surprises - great communication via WhatsApp
Juancho and Jorge were great. It was a long day but full of adventures.
I’m a solo traveller and traditionally not the bus type. That said, Peru Hop was an excellent choice travelling from Lima to Arequipa over the 3 days; highly recommended. Met a few good people along the way. Luis, our guide for these 3 days was awesome. Gracias Luis …….and the entire Peru Hop team!
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Really well organised and worth the price point for travelling Peru. Staff are extremely accommodating to any changes in travel plans or changes outside their control. Tour guides Pablo and Luis were excellent
We had such a good time with Peru Hop ! They make the trip way more easy by taking care of almost everything from pick up to activities and advice on the journey We had 2 amazing guides, special thanks to Lui and Luis for your explanations and discussions together :)
Muis was a great guide and travel compagnon!
Tour was great. Tasting delicious and fun and Raul was great.
Luii is an amazing guide and has been working very hard to make our trip relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you so much for taking care of us!
Great experience. The guides were so helpful and informative
This was the first time we've ever used a service like PeruHop, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Typically, I enjoy planning things and creating my own schedule for vacations, but due to the distance between cities we wanted to visit and my reticence to drive in Peru (seriously, if you can avoid it, avoid it...), my daughter and I decided to give it a try! Now, a 10 year-old and her mother are not the *primary* demographic for PeruHop, but I couldn't believe just how welcomed we still felt through the entire trip. There were plenty of excursions if you wanted an activity with the group, but it was equally easy to do things independently. We landed right around the middle between the two, and it felt perfect, my daughter started asking when we could do this again before the full tour had even ended! Our guides, Jossy, Pedro and Rob, were absolute delights! I was (and continue to be!) so impressed with their ability to create engaging and fun moments while maintaining professionalism. Their genuine kindness and dedication makes them some of the absolute best guides I've ever had. Being able to hear more about the country from people who live there adds another layer of depth to the overall experience. I had a few questions over the length of the trip and they were always able to find the answers for me, even when it could be considered outside their scope of responsibilities. I'm so glad we stepped out of our typical travel patterns on this trip, a big thank you to Rob, Pedro, and Jossy!
Awesome experience in Peru with peru hop, they leas us through different places and cities covering many tours and experiences. Also, they gave us a huge support on hotel reservations, and any kind of problem solving. Also, we have gone in many different restaurants to eat the local food
Elmer is the best host that you can even wish for! He was not only the tour guide but helping and assisting you with all your requests, questions, activities on the way. He was so funny, entertaining and always makes sure you get the best experience in every city/ place we went. His personality and his energy are so remarkable and makes you smile all the time you are with him! I would recommend him and the Peru Hop company to everyone. The experience is unforgettable and well worth! I started this tour as a solo traveler, leaving with friends and lots of memories and happy moments from this lovely country!
10/10 for Elmer (he rocks) and how well arranged everything is!! Seamless traveling. So many tips and suggestions from Elmer. Great vibes all the time! I took the Peru hop bus from Lima to Arequipa. As a seasoned traveler it sometimes felt a bit “too well arranged”. Very little freedom as the schedule forces you a bit into the system of having food and booking tours with whatever Peruhop recommends. The schedule doesn’t always allow other choices. If you don’t mind this and are looking for a seamless travel experience, Peru hop is “it” for you! And you’ll be lucky if Elmer is your guide 😊
Ana was a great guide! Fun and full of good energy. Muchas gracias, Ana!

The trip and event were awesome, and i am looking forward to doing it again soon.
Raul is our guide and he is very friendly and welcoming.
We had George as our guide for the 3 day trip on Peru Hop! He was excellent- communicated effectively for us to know the plan, ensured we had fun and taught us about Peruvian history! The buses are clean and well maintained and made me feel safe as a female solo traveller. I also met many other awesome solo travellers.
The experience is amazing, we went twice down the dunes and the guides took videos and photos. We were there for the perfect amount of time, and even enjoyed Pisco. It always amazes me and makes me so happy that the guides are so cheerful and cracking jokes!
Great experience. We had lots of fun.
Brenda was a lovely host, made sure all the necessary information and meeting points/times were provided in the WhatsApp chat. Everything went smoothly and she provided great information about tours and activities in each place. We also enjoyed the stops along the way!
Tour was very well organized and communicated. We knew exactly where to be and at what time. The day stops provided good breaks between the overnight stays and the information provided on the tour was interesting. Our guide Brenda was warm and approachable and presented with enthusiasm which made the tour enjoyable.
Peru Hop has been an all around fantastic experience! The organisation and flexibility is superb. Comfortable buses, great add on tours and experiences and the guides are all amazing. Our Guides, Luis, Katherine and Juan Carlos have all been very informative, friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending this company for anyone wanting to experience Peru. Brilliant!!
All the guides I had were great. I was with George for most of the trip and he was knowledgeable about the places we went. Dani was also very sweet handing out homemade popcorn for the bus ride back to Lima!
Daniela, George and Roberto were excellent guides and always ensured we were informed on each location giving excellent tips and ensuring we were okay all the time. Approachable and friendly whenever we had any questions. Highly recommend and hats off to each of the guides!
My favorite guide was Lui and Luis. They are interesting and very clear! They give very good advise for the city who are about to visite! I recomend those guide.
The experience has been wonderful. All of our guides were very informative, helpful and provided any information needed to figure out logistics. Special thank you to Roberto and Pedro who we spent the first two days with and also Luis who has been with us for our last leg of the bus trip.
We really loved Peru Hop. My favorite guides were Lui and Luis. Really good experience, I recommend.
My husband and I traveled to Peru for the first time and were fortunate to choose Peru hop to start our journey. We are very happy that our choice was worth every penny; each day was filled with rich experiences, surprises, and beauty. We are very grateful to our hosts on board, Luis and Katherine who always patiently answered our questions and provided the best assistance for our needs. We appreciate having you guys with us on this brief journey!
Luis and Katherine were both amazing guides. They were very informative and made the trip very special. I would 100% recommend others to book Peru hop, the tours were amazing, organisation was perfect, and everything ran smoothly. Having both of them as tour guides definitely improved our overall experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first few days with Peru Hop. From start to finish everything has been well organised and all of our guides have been very friendly and helpful. Lui, Luis and Katherine have made the trip more personal and memorable with their insights and friendliness - no question goes unanswered and every bit of admin is handled expertly! Muchas gracias!
Peru hop has been we’ll organised and everything has been smooth for my first solo trip Miguel really was the best guide I could ask for relaxed and friendly gave good advice on places to go as well as having a laugh with us during my travels.
