Beautiful Hotel with large rooms. Breakfast had excellent variety with menu options.Bar food and customer service was accommodative.. Restaurant behind the bar has lovely authentic Peruvian food at reasonable price. It is tucked away in a quiet area. Miraflores is 15 minute walking distance with more activities, restaurants and shopping.
Marriot Gold member here. Contracted Salmonella at this hotel — confirmed by blood culture I attended a corporate conference here in late January/early February 2026. All meals were provided exclusively by the hotel's catering. By the end of the week I was hospitalized with a confirmed Salmonella infection — verified by blood culture, treated with IV fluids and prescription antibiotics. I was sick for seven days straight, which wiped out both the conference and a pre-planned vacation with my spouse. I'm not the only one. At least four other conference attendees from the same event reported similar illness, three of whom needed hospital-level treatment. I reported this to Marriott International (Case No. 848290348). After weeks of review, their Food & Beverage Manager denied any connection to their kitchen — despite being told upfront that multiple guests from the same controlled catering environment got sick simultaneously. If you're considering booking a conference, corporate event, or extended stay here: you deserve to know this happened, that multiple people were affected, and that the hotel's response was denial. I've filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau against both Marriott International and Highgate Hotels (the operator). This is documented, it is not a vague complaint, and I have the medical records to back every word of it. I just asked the hotel to pay my medical bills and compensate me. They blew me off and now im sending this out to warn other coporate planners. 5 people sick. 3 of us went to the hospital. One was a vegetarian and told me it was the mushrooms (that I ate) 7 straight days of extreme salmonella. Brutal.

I recently attended a conference at this venue and found the experience to be quite positive. The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and helpfulness, and the accommodations were both well-maintained and clean. Furthermore, the location offered convenient access to nearby retail establishments.
