My wife and I booked Casa Republica Barranco for our first and last night in Peru, and it was the perfect beginning and ending to a fabulous trip! We arrived very late at night, tired from the long journey, and were immediately given a warm welcome. We were asked in advance if we were celebrating any special occasion and I had mentioned it was our 10 year wedding anniversary, and when we were brought to our room we were blown away with a surprise upgrade to an an incredible suite with a beautiful swan and flower decoration on our bed! We weren’t expecting it at all and we were so touched. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like babies, before enjoying a delicious breakfast and properly taking in the amazing building and artwork (it’s like staying in an art gallery!). We also enjoyed a delicious complementary cocktail on the rooftop terrace, as well as exploring the Barranco neighbourhood which we absolutely loved. When we returned after two weeks the staff enthusiastically welcomed us back and were keen to know about our travels. We felt like VIPs and can’t praise the staff enough for their friendliness and attentiveness! Highly recommended and if we are ever back in Lima we will be back!

„Premium Room“ we booked was right next to the reception with a lot of noise all day and evening as the doors are not sound proof at all. Had to pay 40USD extra at checkout because of tax reasons as they couldn’t locate me in their immigration system even though we had been traveling the country for weeks with INLAND flights and other hotels where this was never a problem. The negotiation in the morning caused a delay which made us miss our taxi that didn’t want to wait any longer and we had to pay a delay fine on cabify and on top of everything it made us miss our international flight. Bad service as we had walked past the front desk at least 5 times and they could’ve raised this topic after checking in already.
The most thoughtful hotel ever! I’ve traveled 5 continents and stayed in a lot of great hotels but this hotel thought of EVERYTHING to make our stay comfortable. Spacious rooms with great mattresses, well appointed bathroom, and numerous indoor and outdoor public spaces. We were warmly greeted by every staffer who went out to their way to make us comfortable. Beautiful art and stained glass. Set in the heart of Barranco. Could not recommend more!
Really nice hotel, staff are also extremely nice and helpful. We liked that it was really close to the ocean, where you can also walk along it. The rooms were also really nice! Overall great stay, definitely recommend
Sadly I arrived at the hotel and the wifi in my room didn't work. I had 3 nights booked at the hotel but had to leave early as my trip was being made very stressful due to my inability to use my phone or the internet while at the hotel. I couldn't plan the rest of my trip or fix any of the details of my stay in Lima. In the modern world, wifi is as important a utility as electricity or running water. After two nights of frustration while the polite staff tried to get the wifi working, I decided it was best to find a new hotel. When I asked for a refund for my third night, the staff informed me that the manager would reach out to discuss it. I had screenshots of the lack of wifi as proof, and had been making regular inquiries throughout my stay. Quite predictably the manager never reached out, so I ended up paying for a night I didn't stay. I've waited almost a week for the manager to contact me. I don't usually give bad reviews on Google, but I felt this was necessary.
