Aku Hotels

This was a hotel that was tucked away in the commercial district that served it's purpose. There was a nice little park that you could walk around just a block away and some very nice restaurants around the corner. It's about a 30-40 minute Uber ride to the airport and a 15 minute Uber ride to Mira Flores.

Arrived on 2/21/26 for a 2 week stay. This rude reception host would not let me view the room before booking it so I left and went to another hotel. Good luck employing her, she sends your customers to other hotels. 🤡

AKU has always been my go-to hotel spot whenever I need a place to stay on short notice. Once you're in-country, it's always best to branch out & find a nice-sized, cheaper Airbnb option of course. That said, this hotel is usually priced at $40 - $50 per night, which is a massive bargain compared to U.S. hotel prices. Additionally, the staff is super helpful and willing to watch your bags for free if you arrive to early for check-in, enabling guests to roam the surrounding San Isidro area without having to luggage their heavy bags all over the place. The rooms themselves are spacious, the air conditioning is plenty powerful enough to cool the room in minutes, the mini fridge is adequate to store water and leftovers and beer, the bathroom shower is heaven on hot summer days, and the hotel site itself is centrally located near some great restaurants & cafes. Like I said earlier, it's the best place to stay on short notice and a pretty great bargain price (a similar hotel in the U.S. would run for maybe $250 per night).

Suit with balcony and bathtub is not impressive at all, especially for the price I've paid. Lack of maintenance and cleaning. Breakfast buffet could be improved. A lot. However, all staff are helpful. Sunbeds on the balcony are dirty, no shade during the daytime. Next time I would choose central Miraflores while visiting city, but it could be only my preference.
