We visited La Vallée Adventure Park on a day when the weather in Mauritius was far from ideal, with rain and strong winds. Instead of spending the day at the beach, we decided to take the opportunity to experience something completely different — and it turned out to be a very good choice. The park is beautiful, very well maintained and, above all, extremely well organised. We tried several activities, including the kart, the Tibetan bridge and some rope descents. Each activity was enjoyable and gave us the chance to experience a different side of Mauritius, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. What we appreciated most was the possibility of enjoying the park even with difficult weather conditions. It really helped us turn a rainy and windy day into an interesting and memorable experience. The only downside, in our opinion, is the price. The activities are quite expensive, and considering what we actually did, we felt that the cost was somewhat excessive. That said, the overall experience was definitely positive. If you are in Mauritius and happen to have a day when the weather doesn’t allow you to enjoy the sea, La Vallée Adventure Park is certainly worth considering for a different and fun-filled day.

Itinerary
Adventure awaits at La Vallée des Couleurs (The Valley of Colours) Nature Park! In addition to being home to the famous 23-coloured earth, the park has a variety of activities available, including quad biking, zip lining, jeep tours, buggy rides, trekking and suspension bridges. The park also offers great views looking towards the south.
Your driver will then take you to visit La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes where you will discover beautiful palm and banana trees, giant bamboos, impressive animals, including 2,000 Nile Crocodiles and 1,000 giant tortoises. You will also visit their insectarium which boasts one of the best private collections in the world with 23,000 species. In addition, the park is home to iguanas, monkeys and several species of birds.
Later in the afternoon, you will discover more of the wild south while admiring the rugged scenery of big, powerful waves crashing on the cliffs at Gris Gris. A few metres away, you will see La Roche qui pleure, a natural rock formation that resembles a person crying when the waves hit it.

It was an excellent experience. Looking at the bolcanic ash, waterfalls, hilltop cafeteria etc. Our guide Azmal was very knowledgeable and polite. I would give him 5/5
La valle de adventure is so fun, we did few activities like the bicicletta zip line and everyone is so nice and friu! Gris Gris is impressive to see! Highly recommended
San was a very good driver and very informative about the history of mauritius. His driving from our hotel to the various locations was excellent. We can recommend San to friends that are planning to come and visit mauritius. Very good experience.
I used the Bonjour Mauritius on Viator for taxi service to Vallee des Couleurs, La Vanille Nature Park and Gris Gris. The cost was pricey. The taxi driver was on time for pick up. Surprisingly he got me to the 3 locations. At his arrival, he didn't know where he was taking me to. He did not speak English so giving him details was difficult. Before the first location, he stopped on a two lane road and parked on the road. Blocking the traffic using that lane. He then went to a building across the road. He came out with an orange. Another stop he left me sitting in the car while he waited in line at the ATM machine. Another stop from “HIS” to do list: petro station he got 3 liters of gas and a water bottle. The taxi had AC but he didnt want to use it. I would ask for AC,he turned it in for a brief time, then the windows were opened. This is a tropical climate -hot and humid. He only opened the sliding door on the van at the hotel pick up and at Vallee Couleurs reception area. Other times in parking lots I had to open and shut the van door, while he sat in the driver seat. Gris Gris was a photo stop. I headed back to the van. He lifted his cigarette, indicating we were not leaving till he finished his cigarette. Another to do off his list-smoke a cigarette. I never heard another vehicle use their horn. I quit counting how many times the driver used his horn-cars, trucks, bicycles, pedestrians and dogs. His impatient driving, fast speed, last minute braking found the taxi nearly on the vehicles, bikes and pedestrians.
The drivers car broke down twice during our way to the nature park, he was bluntly rude numerous times and took us to destinations that were not as per our schedule. It was such a waste of time and tourists would not enjoy the company and experience at all!
We had an amazing day exploring the south of the island. Our driver, Raj was brilliant, he made us feel very safe on what can be dangerous roads in Mauritius, he was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. The highlight for us was feeding the giant tortoises at La Vanille, we felt we had just the right amount of time at each stop too.
Brilliant day out with lots of activities at the valley and different places to eat, staff were very friendly. We particularly enjoyed the animal park and feeding the giant Tortoises! Our driver Fricash was very friendly with lots of knowledge of Mauritius. He even took a detour to show us the giant hindu statues at the grande bassin! Thank you 😊
The Vallee des couleurs was great to see and the tour was not bad.Though it doesn't give the full value for money.
The 23 Coloured Earth, the giant tortoises and the Nepalese suspension bridge were the highlights of the day.
Amazing Zipline Adventure! We did the Extreme Tour with Dirish - very nice and funny Tourguide! Thanks a lot!
First of all - great tour! It recommend it :) We were travelling from the east side of the island, so we were sick after the long road when we arrived to La Vallée Park, we did a walk inside which is around 2h with all stops, you could do lots of different activities there (i very regret not doing a zip lining), so such a wonderful time! Then we headed to Gris Gris which has very lovely views and finally The Vanile Park - was great to see so many turtles and to be able to feed them.
We felt that Gris Gris was a waste of time. We certainly didn’t see the waterfall going into the sea. It was just a very small beach and lots of waves and rocks. The vanilla nature park was nice - giant tortoise were in abundance but that was pretty much all. The crocs were meant to be fed at 11.30 but we waited 15 minutes but needed to meet our driver so ended up missing the crocs being fed. We then went to Vallee des couleurs. There was a lot of hard sell. We just wanted to see the coloured earth but ended up doing the zip wire, Nepalese bridge and quad bike at a cost of £237!! Had we been made aware we could just walk to the coloured earth we would have done that - the quad bike was definitely not worth the money or the wait. When visiting this place and taking part in activities make sure you take your wallet and credit cards and that your driver has plenty of time to hand around. It was nice to have the same driver throughout the day but there is a lot of waiting around for them. It was a very long day with an awful lot of driving.
We had a lovely day doing this excursion. Our driver Nadeem was very friendly, full of jokes and made us feel very comfortable throughout the trip, he turned up on time and the day went as planned. The vanilla nature park was good, spent about an hour and a half there and then made our way to the adventure park where we did the Nepalese bridge walk and two luge karts ride. Really good day overall
Kessaven our driver, did a great job. He was a good driver and very helpful. What we realized was that the tour was better suited to younger people than we are. We cut sort some of the stops, because we both had some walking issues. We enjoyed the stop at the Vanilla Nature Park. We were able to walk thru the giant tortoises and even scratch their necks. Very interesting day.
The walk was great. Both the Vallée and Vanilla Park are great attractions. It's worth it. Our driver was excellent. Patient and good at talking, he led us everywhere without rushing and without pressuring us. Very good experience.
Very Good Welcoming by Mr Lucardo. 🇲🇬 He was smiling, very patient and helpful. We were a group of 7. He presented us well the offers and helped us choose well.
We had an unforgettable experience on our quad bike ride to the Valley of 23 Colours in Mauritius, thanks to Agnes, our exceptional guide. As soon as we arrived, she welcomed us with a warm and communicative smile that immediately put at ease. Throughout the excursion, her listening was impeccable: always attentive to everyone, she made sure that the whole group felt safe, comfortable, and above all, that we enjoyed the moment to the fullest. Thanks to it, we discovered beautiful landscapes in a friendly and relaxed Mood. His good humour and professionalism greatly contributed to making this event unforgettable. Thank you Agnes for your energy, benevolence and smile that will remain etched in our memories!
Wonderful park with fascinating rock in such great colors. Great guids. Super many opportunities to cross the park.
Le tour du parc en Buggy La traversée du parc en tyrolienne Traversée du pont suspendu Et surtout une équipe vraiment disponible et accueillante
Lots of attractions in this lovely park. We took the tour in 4x4 with guide, zip line and styles of toboggans with wheels, it feels like being in mario kart, that is to do. Attractions are a bit expensive, the 1500m zip line is not very fast, no great sensations
Great place and great quad ride with Dhan a guide more than at the top!!! To be repeated on a whole day
