The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located minutes from the main train station. The staff were very courteous and helpful and I would definitely recommend it and look forward to staying there again.
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel as we didn’t think Best Western hotels had much character. We ended up here after being sick of Airbnbs that constantly have issues despite the benefits of a washing machine. The hotel had charm and the rooms were older style but absolutely perfect in terms of cleanliness and not worn out or used - everything looked great and the room was very comfortable and decent size. We stayed in superior double and not facing main road. The room was very quiet and aircon and wifi all worked great. The location is not far to walk from station so it is handy. It’s also handy if you want to do day trips to go to station. Supermarkets are nearby. Bed was really comfortable with great pillows. Hotel was very comfortable and great in every way. Only thing was bathroom was bit cramped with shower over bath but still manageable - the shower hose should really be at end of bath rather than middle of bath.
I just loved this hotel! They gave me an upgrade to a beutiful suite with the lake view, everything is well appointed, the breakfast was very good, and it is just very close to a bus stop and some restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel garden is so cosy and the service is just perfect. The best hotel in Lausanne!
Hotel Mirabeau is a fabulous hotel and I had a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area, and every member of the staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Their warm hospitality really made the experience special. The only disappointment was the breakfast. Considering the price, I expected a much wider selection. The quality was good, but the variety was quite limited and didn’t match the standard of the rest of the hotel. Expanding the breakfast options would make the overall experience even better. Despite that one issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. I highly recommend Hotel Mirabeau to anyone looking for excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a welcoming atmosphere.
It has been 6.5 years since I last visited Hotel Mirabeau and it still retains a lot of its old charm from when it was built in 1911. Staff throughout are friendly and efficient along with the very well looked after hotel. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main station (the trade off is that it is a little bit of a downhill walk to get to the lake, alternatively a quick trip on the metro or tram will get you there too). I'd recommend opting for a room with a lake view and balcony (or a suite with similar equivalence) as it becomes rather relaxing especially during sunset. The bar still offers a good selection of drinks that are reasonably priced along with a fantastic on-site restaurant hosting a lovely terrace. The only downside was breakfast, it's your typical buffet-style breakfast, decent quality but nothing special other than for convenience. Still one of the best hotels to stay in or around Lausanne if you aren't after the "next to lake" experience.
