The Valley of Fire Guided Hike from Las Vegas was a great tour. Our guide, Franco Batzel, was knowledgeable and full of good humor. He interacted in a positive and caring way with each of the ten people on the tour, making sure we were safe. He provided lots of water to keep everyone well hydrated and a nice sandwich and chips lunch midway through the eight-hour experience. Hotel pickup and return were on time. Thank you Franco, wishing you all the best.

We had an amazing hike at Valley of Fire with our guide, Michael! He picked us up right on time at our hotel. He made sure everyone was comfortable with the difficulty level. We chose the moderate hike, which included climbing rocks, squeezing through narrow openings, and exploring caves. The views were breathtaking, and we even spotted some bighorn sheep! Michael was knowledgeable about the geology, native plants and history of the area. He was very safety conscious, and always ready to lend a helping hand. He knew all the prime photo opportunities and acted as our photographer. On the ride to and from the park, he also shared great tips for places to eat and things to do in Las Vegas. Highly recommend the moderate hike for experienced hikers and thrill seekers. It was an unforgettable experience!
I booked a hike with Love Hikes as someone with some physical restrictions due to a neck surgery, and the owner, Jacob, worked with me to find the right hike that would be safe to do with my neck and still challenging/fun. He took the time to call me multiple times to better understand my restrictions and our guide Grey, was absolutely amazing! Not only did she show us amazing views, but she also gave us tons of Vegas recs. We really couldn't have had a better experience!
This is our fourth trip with this company and it probably won’t be our last. Amazing experience and that’s why we keep coming back. Nick was friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure we saw a different area of the park than we have before. Great local company. We did the regular or basic hike but could easily do the moderate next time. The park itself is breathtaking and a must see in your Vegas trip. Highly recommend this company.
Fantastic experience so well organised. Our guide Sarah was terrific
This was a fantastic experience. Michael was an amazing guide. Would highly recommend this hike to anyone who wants to see and truly hike in the valley. So many breathtaking scenery moments. It’s a great hike that leaves you wanting to do more in the valley. It was a perfect trip.
We did a 4 hour moderate guided hike in Valley of Fire & it was awesome! Our guide, Nick, knew the park and trails exceptionally well. We got to go off the trails & experience some of the back country. It was a peaceful hike & nice getaway from the hustle of the strip! And Nick gave us excellent recommendations for dinner & breakfast! Always a bonus’!
Wonderful trip!! Nick did a great job taking us off trail for most of the trip, so we didn't see any other hikers until the end. We had a great mixture of sand and rocks to hike on, while mixing in some gentle bouldering. He made sure that we were out of the direct sun in many cases. Nick also had an extensive knowledge of the area, including plants, tv/movie productions, and historical info. Highly recommend the trip. I can see why they have the "You can die" sign - but Nick kept us very safe. Excellent way to spend an afternoon.
This is 100% worth the drive and time. Absolutely beautiful and just enough of a challenge. Very intimate
10/10 Must See & Hike for yourself at the Valley of Fire State Park! This is our second annual hike my husband and I have taken with Love Hikes at the Valley of Fire. Let me first start by saying I had to use my other account to leave another review since Google only allows one review per location, but Love Hikes is worth taking my time to leave a second review. The owner Roberta was spot on when choosing our wilderness wayfinder guide when we found out Nick was unavailable for the time we were in Vegas by choosing Will Scarfino. I asked for someone fun like Nick and that is exactly what we got. We did another Moderate Level hike this year on our anniversary and brought a friend with us this time. Will made everyone feel comfortable with jokes on the ride up and several opportunities to use the restrooms before our hike and after and so much fun in between. Will gives you some history, fun facts and options to challenge yourself if you choose. To start off on our adventure, the trail Will selected for us got averted right in the beginning with the Dessert Bighorn Sheep & Ram laying down and grazing in our path so we took a detour and then we saw more just about a hundred feet in front of us shortly after. It was so awesome to see them on our actual trail this time. I love that we went on a different trail then last year and that Will allowed us to go a little off the trail if we felt comfortable doing so. We got to stop and climb different terrain for pics if we wanted and Will took many pictures of us that we couldn't take ourselves from different points of view and I was grateful for that as my husband didn't take the most important point of view of me, but only a close up...lol. Will is not only a great hiking guide, but also an avid hiker, a climber, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, a dad, and dog owner. Those are all great qualities to have as a wilderness wayfinder guide, basically saying he's very experienced at his job, caring and compassionate, fun, and knows a bit about the human body. Should you decide to book with Love Hikes in the Vegas area, I can promise you that you will have an amazing time, an unforgettable experience and you can't go wrong with Will as your guide. I only have one dilemma the next time we are in Vegas, who to request as our guide? Can I request both Will & Nick together and Will's dog too? 😍🙏
Great time with our excellent guide Mike, highly recommend
Hands down a 10/10 experience! Transportation was right on time, and everything promised in the description was delivered flawlessly. The site is spectacular, and we got blessed with perfect weather. Our guide, Sarah, was incredible, so knowledgeable and super patient with all of our questions. You can tell she really knows her stuff. Highly recommend this to everyone!
Wow!! This trip was amazing. Our guide, Sarah, was so knowledgeable and fun. She looked out for our well-being at all times (water and Gatorade, snacks, bathroom stops). This was the “friendly” hike, not at all strenuous. A gentle 2.5-3 miles. We went to two areas. The petroglyphs blew me away, and Sarah explained them and pointed out some details. What a fabulous morning! The value is far greater than the price. Tip your guide!!

Excellent guide and amazing place
Tour was amazing. It was the 2 of us and the tour still went. Right there, we know, I Love Hikes ran a quality business. Our guide Nick was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. It was worth the money to have an avid hiker knowledgeable of the land. We were able to go off trail and have a tailored experience. We would use Nick and I Love Hikes again.
This was an excellent trip out to Fire Valley. Michael our guide picked us up from our hotel. We stopped after a little way to get drinks before heading out in to the Valley of fire national park. We did the friendly hike. More of a gentle walk around few climbing to see various features in th rocks. Michael made the trip interesting with his knowledge of the petroglyphs and few small animal tracks. We stopped between locations to look at the big horn sheep which was a low chance of seeing them but they were righ by the road on the day we went. Supplied with water and snacks Went to a few different locations. Did take a scenic route back think there was problem with motoway but saw lake mead from the car. And was dropped back at our hotels. Michael was very good at looking after our small group of 3 ensuring we were hydrated and ok with climbing didn't push or try to speed anyone up. Would recommend this company and Michael to future excursions. Thank you Ashley and Rob
This was a brilliant tour. The guide, Mike, was knowledgeable, accommodating, and very friendly. He even arrived early! Nice small group of 4, and unfortunately I had to drop from the difficult hike to intermediate due to lack of numbers for difficult but the guide arranged for a few side quests to some exra special view points. Super hot day but water and snacks were abundant - length of time was fine, too hot to stay any longer though I would have liked to cover a little more ground. What we did see though was away from crowds and super interesting. Definitely recommended.
We had a small group, just my partner and I, and it was a ton of fun exploring the Valley of Fire with our guide Michael. Michael was great he was very considerate making sure we were hydrated and adjusted the pace for the level of hiking we were. He gave us chance to do some off the path exploring and was very knowledgeable about the local fauna and wildlife.
Wonderful hike! I did the moderate version and guide Chris was fantastic. He made the hike enjoyable by pointing out the history of the area, identifying the different vegetation and why it was there, while also making sure to find the best scenic spots and take incredible photos. At the end, he even provided the opportunity to challenge myself and do a little more difficult scramble for the experience and to get another great view. Would completely recommend this!
Level of activity is as advertised: moderate, which is to say, not a “walk in the park.” Nice duration and mix of flat plus ascending and descending portions will give even reasonably fit folks enough of a physical challenge. Very interesting and scenic area well worth the (provided) drive from Las Vegas. Guide did a great job.
Everything was handled for us and Sarah was awesome with tons of experience on trails and routes to take to match what we wanted to accomplish. Moderate hike was plenty for us as a first-time rock scrambling. We were used to normal hikes up and down but this was a first trying some scrambling on rocks with hand and foot holds but nothing that was too difficult. It was a great experience with great scenery and some bighorn sheep to start the tour.
A very enjoyable time hiking through a beautiful place with incredible view of the landscape and plants
This is the best way of exploring the Valley of Fire. I was taking the moderate hike, and this was a good choice -- not so hard, but still got the joints stretched. Also, thanks to Nick for being a good guide and great conversation partner.
Our guide, Chris, is a rock star! He took us to breathtaking views in the Valley of Fire, where we would have never ventured on our own. He is very knowledgeable and we learned so much about all facets of the area - geology, history, flora and fauna. We would give him a 10+!
Nick was an amazing tour guide during my hike at Valley of Fire, Nevada. He was very informative, super funny, and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. He was also generous, polite, and even helped take great photos along the way. Highly recommend him if you want a fun and memorable adventure! - Kevin
Pick up and drop off were as described with no issues. Smooth drive (I even dozed off!). Nick the guide as incredible. Gave us alot of detail and information about plants, animals & topography. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it. I will take a different tour with the same group next time I am in town.
It was absolutely stunning and so beautiful!!We were so impressed by the facility and the professionalism of Nick and the company from start to finish. They provided water and snacks if needed! It was a great break from Vegas and great exercise! Nick made the experience exceptional! Thanks
Nick our tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. Couldn't ask for a better tour guide. Valley of fire is an easy trail and pretty easy to navigate and saw some critters. Would totally ask for Nick again for any of these trails.
It is a definite moderate climb in beautiful scenery. Sara was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, leading the way with ease and telling jokes as we went along with a great playlist. The rock climbing was fabulous and the surroundings were breathtaking
Best hike ever! The tour was incredible and our guide, Grey, was wonderful!
We had an amazing time. Valley of Fire State Park is truly a spectacular place—far too large to fully appreciate in just one day. We hiked the Mouse’s Tank Trail and were able to see an impressive number of petroglyphs along the way. Our guide, Nick McDearmon, was outstanding. He shared detailed insights about the flora, fauna, and unique rock formations we encountered throughout the hike, which really enriched the experience. Love Hikes delivered exactly what we were looking for—a well-organized, informative, and memorable adventure. Highly recommended.
We had a great experience with Nick. A fun interesting hike a little off the beaten path, challenging enough, but not too difficult. He was a safe courteous driver. We felt safe and saw lots of Big Horned sheep. If possible do the 6AM tour. Park is less crowded.
Did the moderate hike on 4/25 with Nick as our guide and would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in checking out Valley of Fire. The park is insanely beautiful and Nick was incredibly knowledgeable; plus you could tell that he just really enjoys his job and that is always awesome. Plenty of snacks & drinks provided, plus they picked us up right at our hotel. This is definitely something I’d do again the next time I’m in Vegas.
Can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this hike! We did a moderate level hike and Will was our guide. He was the best! We (2 senior ladies) were in a group with 7 others and everyone helped each other so much. It was like instant family ! We highly recommend the hike and especially guide Will !
Fun hike in a unique part of the state. Great sense of adventure climbing on and sometimes through rocks. Grey was a great guide.
Pick up was on time and easy to find. Our guide was friendly, informative and patient. We had plenty of water to drink and a delicious lunch. The park was AMAZING! If you LOVE Mother Nature this is a must visit!
We had an outstanding experience with our guide, Will, on the White Domes Loop Trail. The hike itself is absolutely stunning—gorgeous slot canyons and incredible scenery at every turn—but what made it truly special was Will. He went above and beyond, carrying extra water and snacks and making sure everyone was comfortable throughout. Along the way, he pointed out lizards, flowers, and animal tracks we would have completely missed on our own, and shared fascinating insights into the area’s geologic history. The hike is moderately challenging, and we really appreciated how safety-conscious he was—carefully pointing out slippery sections and offering a hand on the trickier parts of the trail. A perfect blend of beauty, education, and care. Highly recommend Will!
Our guide, Nick, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, took us on a great route for our skill level, was easy to chat with, and was courteous. He made the entire experience even better. Loved the views and enjoyed the hike. Would definitely recommend!
Tour was spectacular! Nick was an excellent guide who shared much information about plant life, rock formations, history and geology of the area. He always offered a hand for my climbing through more difficult rock formations. He allowed our group to progress at our pace, with breaks and opportunities to take in the surroundings. Hiking boots/shoes are helpful. We highly recommend this adventure!
Michael was a great tour guide - making sure we were all comfortable with pace, and quite knowledgeable about the plants and history of the area.
Great tour guide that was fun to hike with and was there guiding us every step of the way and beautiful views.
Had a wonderful morning with Brayden as our guide. We are from Los Angeles. There were also two from France. Beautiful mid level hike. Highly recommend.
We had an awesome day hiking with our guide, Nick! He was knowledgeable and took us off the beaten path!
Fun hike at White Domes! Historic area. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Morning is less crowded. We went in afternoon.
Our tour guide Nick McDearmon was fun and knowledgeable. We had a great experience and even saw some big horn sheep as an added bonus. Valley of Fire was fire and would absolutely go on another Love Hikes adventure!
This experience was amazing! The otherworldly aspect of this tour was incredible, fascinating and stunning. One of the best things that contributed to our wonderful time was our guide, Will. He provided such personalized service, attending to our safety, education and made it such a lovely experience. He made it so fun for our 12 year old daughter. He was so knowledgeable and attentive. We can’t recommend this any higher and would encourage anyone to make this excursion. We got some amazing photos (Will took lots from gorgeous vantage points and sent them to us) and made special memories. Thank you so much!!
What a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of my Vegas trip! My guide was Travis. Communication was great beforehand, the park was stunning and Travis was so nice and welcoming and shared lots of cool tidbits about the area. We had a small group of three and everyone was so friendly. I would do this tour again.
Valley of Fire is absolutely beautiful! Travis was our tour guide and was amazing! Would definitely recommend.
We recently had the chance to explore Valley of Fire State Park with our tour guide Travis, and it was nothing short of spectacular! He found the best hiking trails for us from easy strolls to more challenging climbs. We enjoyed spotting the ancient petroglyphs along the trails—it really felt like stepping back in time and hearing his interpretation of the Petroglyphs was fun. We would recommend bringing plenty of water and sunscreen, as it can get quite hot during the day. Overall, Valley of Fire is a must-visit for anyone who loves nature, photography, or simply a good adventure have a tour guide who knows their stuff is an A plus plus.
