Charlie was the BEST guide! He rocked the entire tour and gave us one amazing adventure! His personality was so fun and the only thing that paralleled his sense of adventure was his focus on safety and making memories! I highly recommend!!!! Mike was the driver that took us to and from the dune buggies and into don’t have him as your driver, you are MISSING OUT! His personality is bold and engaging! Be sure to book with him!!!

After check-in, you will be fitted with safety gear, watch a brief orientation video, and have a chance to use the restroom before heading to the Valley of Fire staging area about 1-hour drive away. Lockers are available free of charge to store anything you don't wish to loose out in the desert. The area you'll be riding in on this tour has been featured by numerous magazines as one of the top off-road riding areas in the United States. While on tour, you will occasionally encounter Big Horn Sheep and other wildlife. The Valley of Fire is world renowned for its beautiful rock formations and red sand. All buggies are custom built for the rugged Nevada terrain and come equipped with roll cages, seatbelts, goggles and helmets for your safety. The buggies are similar to your regular car with a steering wheel, brake pedal, and gas pedal. It's your responsibility to operate the vehicle safely. Your total tour duration includes hotel pickup and drop-off, your total ride time is approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending how much time you choose to enjoy the various sites on the trail. An absolute disaster — avoid at all costs! This was hands down one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. Our group of 12 spent thousands of dollars and wasted an entire day for what turned into a complete nightmare. These people are all smiles until they get your payment — after that, you’re on your own. Their vehicles are junk. Out of 6 buggies we rented, 3 broke down during the ride. One had a broken throttle cable, another wouldn’t stop stalling, and a third had a dead battery and a fuel leak — which they knew about and still ignored. We were stuck over and over, wasting time standing around in the heat while their poorly maintained equipment failed. And don’t even get me started on the so-called “tour.” We barely made it to the halfway point before they rushed us back. The return ride lasted under 10 minutes — a joke, especially considering what we were promised. We’ve tried following up since May 11, and their customer service is just as broken as their buggies. You get an auto-reply, but no real response. Emails are ignored, calls get bounced around, and when I finally reached someone who claimed they’d help, they ghosted me too. It’s now almost 6 weeks later — nothing. This place is a scam. They’ll take your money, put your safety at risk, and then disappear. Do not trust them. Do not book with them. It was supposed to be a memorable day for our group, and instead, we were left frustrated, stranded, and completely ripped off.
An absolute must do trip while visiting the Vegas Area! We called to book our trip & from the start we were quite impressed. Shannon was very friendly & informative about the tour types & costs. Our van driver kept in touch with us in regards to pickup times & what to look for. He had such a great sense of humor & talked about things for us non locals to check out off the strip. Cameron was our next shuttle out to the Valley Of Fire. He’s the shop mechanic so normally doesn’t help with the tours, but he did excellent & came in handy when we popped a tire while on the trail. Eric was an amazing guide letting us take our time, switch riders around on the atv, utv, & dune buggy. He also took the time to take group pictures of us all, along with some video of the ride. The views were incredible & almost no other tourists. We would highly recommend this tour!
Such an amazing experience!! Jimmy was the best tour guide! Highly recommend for family or friends! A great experience something other than walking the strip in Vegas!
Our family of 4 had a great experience with Sunbuggy! Eric and Jimmy were very professional, kind and accommodating. Kay was also very informative and made our booking process go smoothly and answered all of my questions. Honestly, we had called a competitor company (Adrenaline) first and they treated me like a criminal for asking to bring my children on a tour and were unbelievably rude. I’m glad for that now though because Sunbuggy was a top notch experience from start to finish. I will recommend them to anyone I know traveling to Vegas. I appreciate how patient the guides were with us traveling with younger children. They even made a point to stay behind so we weren’t left alone during the lunch break hike. They made us feel comfortable, safe and showed us a beautiful and fun tour of the Valley of fire! 💯 💯💯
My husband and I went on the Valley of Fire tour today. Even though it was raining we still had a great time, actually it was probably better since it wasn’t dusty at all!. My husband had fun driving the side by side and I enjoyed the amazing scenery. The Valley of Fire is amazing, like you’re on another planet. Josh, our guide was great. The trip was fun and safe!
We had an adventure!!!! Irock was our tour guide. He was very attentive to my claustrophobic needs and kept us safe! Our 10 year old son really enjoyed. Everyone is very nice. It is very bumpy so if you are okay with that then great otherwise do the ATV’s instead. We went in November so the weather was perfect! I don’t think we would have been able to do in the middle of summer!
Let me start by saying the actual dune-buggying adventure was fun and exhilarating. Our guide, Deimo, was very nice and knowledgeable. HOWEVER, after signing the waivers and getting our gear ready the shuttle driver from SunBuggy (Michael Johnson) did not use a GPS and wound up getting us all lost in the desert for over an hour before he admitted "I don't know where he dropped the pin." After we successfully finding our way to where the dune buggies were, he continued making very odd commentary such as telling us the local flowers were related to "velvet plants:" "...you know, like red velvet?" was an actual quote from this man. After our dune buggy adventure was over he insisted on making 2 seperate bathroom stops with the bus for himself as no one in our group needed to stop. Arriving back at our hotel he crashed the bus into a pillar and tore off the side-mirror. It was QUITE the adventure. If you can stomach the commute provided by SunBuggy we had a lot of fun out there driving the dune buggies... Next time will 100% book with another outlet though, hopefully won't lose over an hour of vacation time to their driver getting lost.
I’ll start out by saying our guide was amazing! We were a group of three with two drivers. We rented one single seater and one double seater. The two seater was awful. The car number was 208. It was bumpy, hard to control and a lot slower than the one seater. Thankfully, I had a chance to drive both. I would have never done it again if I didn’t. Once I was in the one seater, everything seemed right. It was a much smoother ride. The car was much easier to control and went a lot faster. If you get a two seater, DO NOT get the yellow buggy number 208. That buggy is awful! Being out in the sand was awesome. We were right near the Nellis AFB with fighter jets zooming around in the sky! The reason I’m giving the 3 star rating is because I believe the company should not have given us the two seater buggy 208. I believe they all should have known the buggy was probably on its last leg. The buggy should have been tested and deemed unenjoyable for lack of another word. We paid a lot of money for two drivers and a passenger ($1105). Too much to have been given that particular buggy. It is a super cool experience with good shape equipment.
We found out about Sunbuggy on TripAdvisor and wanted to try this when we went on our honeymoon. It was our favorite thing we did on our trip! Josh was our guide and he was super cool and knowledgeable. We felt very safe with him and had so much fun seeing the views!!
We had the most amazing time on our dune buggy tour. We were picked up at our hotel promptly on time by our driver, Emmett. He offered snacks and beverages, was pleasant to talk to, and we felt extremely safe driving to the rental store! We quickly got on the way to the dunes where we met our tour guide, Cam. He made the whole experience feel so fun, safe and exciting! I will be recommending the tour to family and friends! I recommend people choose the 60 minute tour over the 30 to get the most of the experience! It’s so worth it and a once in a life time experience!
This trip was a ton of fun for the adults and teens in our family. Eric and Krysty made sure that we had a great time and they were fantasic tour guides. Highly recommend.
Eric and Krysty were so much fun. We weren't sure of a guided tour but this was anything but boring. Our whole family had such a great time. Everyone all day was professional and friendly. Highly recommend.
We were here with 2 others. This is the current review I have written down of everything which happened. It took over 5-6 hours and we still could not ride. We decided at that point, we wanted a full refund. Here is the review of that day: Absolute worst experience. When we checked in, I was told by Kay we were down for a side by side, I made sure to correct this and show the proof of our dune buggy reservation. Ater a 1.5-2.5 hour wait, and me talking to the front desk, I ask if we would be going out soon and get told - "Well there was an issue with one of the vehicles" and "You know its a 2-3 hour drive time, right?" I'm like ummm, what, "Yes that's what we paid for, not the 2-3 hour wait time". I don't understand why a vehicle issue happened and we weren't spoken to whatsoever during this entire wait period. There was zero communication. Well we finally get into the van to go to the Valley of Fire tour we paid for, and our Buggy isn't loaded up! They loaded the wrong vehicle. They loaded a 6 seater side by side instead of a 2 seater dune Buggy. When we mentioned, yet again I might add as I had already spoken to the front desk about this issue, that we paid for the dune buggies not the side by side, the guy literally told me "I dont recommend the dune buggies" Im over here thinking, sir, what, I dont understand? Your company logo is literally a dune Buggy and it's your biggest seller - that you actually have real dune buggies not just atvs. So I respond "I would like the 2 seater dune Buggy we reserved in the first place, please." We wait about 20 more minutes or so in the car before heading out to the desert. When we finally get to the desert, we have to wait another 1.5-2 hours, and this is after stopping to get lunch along the way and making a few wronf turns! So we finally give up when the vehicles get there as it is now peak heat time and we were supposed to have gotten BACK at that time, not JUST STARTING. We had even tried to call these people several times before they got there to see their ETA. We never got a single pickup call until they were 9 miles out. This was hands down the absolute worst experience we had in our 4 day Vegas trip. And we had a total of 3 excursions. This was the 3rd. Furthermore, this was so far off, the driver we had was called in on his day off to drive us. That's how unprepared these people were. When we got back, we spoke to an extremely rude man, Eric, who straight up said we didn't have to send the vehicles out there if you were just going to cancel to begin with. He then goes on to say, you could've told us you didn't want the side by side, which I did at the very beginning. I did not appreciate being treated like that after several hours of wait time already and severe issues along the way. He told us he will not authorize anything on a Sunday but to email this email and be very detailed. He is refusing to give proof he recieved all items so I don't have to deal with any issues in the refund process. He also specifically tried making us leave several times and put all the blame on us when we genuinely did nothing wrong. Absolutely no services were received. We paid for this with a Groupon and thank goodness we did! Because even after a very carefully and politely drafted email with screenshot proof of everything, we never received any response back from their QA department AFTER 2 WEEKS. We sent 3 emails during a 2 week time period and they never even attempted to contact us. We even tried calling! They ignored us because they wanted to thieve our money. Luckily we let Groupon know exactly what happened and they came through for us. they themselves had issues getting into contact with these people! 10/10 do NOT recommend this place. They are rude, run down, and just want your money. Zero communication skills, zero skills for employee professionalism. Only Mike there had any semblance of professionalism and he wasnt even a supervisor. The least professional individual and employee there was Eric and he is a supervisor. Overall extremely disappointing.
The park is absolutely beautiful, and our guides Eric and Sean were amazing. We had a slight issue with a flat tire, but they made the trip so worth it with how fun they were to be around. Highly suggest this tour
River and Shawn were great! Efficient and friendly. My son and I had a great time!!! We rode ATVs. He was experienced, I wasn’t. River makes it so that doesn’t make a difference in your experience. One of the best things we did while visiting Vegas. Highly recommend. Only thing I would suggest for women taking the tour is to make a sports bra a priority!!
We drove so far and I enjoyed the ride! Seeing the Petroglyphs, rock climbing, taking amazing pictures, meeting new people! It was dope!
DMO was an excellent guide. Very helpful and patient. Thanks for taking pictures for us. They came out great. I have fun driving the dune buggy. It exhilarating and fun.
Right from the beginning Mike Montana from Sunbuggy did everything he could to answer our questions, suggest the right experience for our group, and work out all the details to make it a reality. Mike made himself accessible via phone and text to answer everything that came up, helped coordinate special food for our tour's lunch to meet our group's dietary requirements, and followed up after the tour was over to make sure everything went as expected. On the tour itself, Dom and Rip showed everyone how to operate their vehicles and made sure we all felt safe and comfortable before starting out. They made sure throughout the day that everyone was having fun, helped take family pictures, and gave us heads up about upcoming things to know for the drive. All in all, it was a fantastic day and one I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys off-road, beautiful views, and just being adventurous!
This experience is honestly amazing, starting with Mike our pick up was so quick and easy, plus he made sure we were well taken care of. River and Shawn made the tour of the valley of fire perfect and exceptional ! We had a great time would definitely do it again
My family & I had a great time. Elijah was a great tour guide. We felt safe and we had a lot of fun. I would certainly recommend
5 stars easy! Henry was so much fun. He was also safe and made sure we all felt safe. Our group enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend!!
This was awesome! Dan and D-Mo we fantastic. Had so much fun, felt safe! Would 10000% do it again! It was great!!!
This is one of the best things I've done while in Vegas. Valley of Fire is awesome! Driving the dune buggies is a blast!
We were promised a six hour tour. We got one hour. We had to change dune buggies three different times because of mechanical failures. The scenery was not what we paid for. We paid for Valley of fire and they moved us to some dirty sand dunes outside of Las Vegas speedway. If you read the reviews, there are many people who say this company is not reputable. This is an absolute truth.
Had so much fun today. Chad was our tour guide and he was awesome. Even found a lost phone. I would recommend the dune buggies as they are pretty fast and your able to go a bit crazy on them. Def recommend spending an afternoon here
Emmett was incredible! He was safe, drove extremely safe, kind and hospital beyond belief! He had everything we needed and constantly checked on us and offered us snacks and waters! It was so helpful!
Dom, fun and safe. Will recommend. Seats could be padded more, but no big deal. Guide was fun and nice and plenty of cold water to go around
Guide was amazing but chose this company for the buggy exp and when got in the desert was told they don’t work in the terrain and ended up on a gator. Not the exp we had purchased.
Chad and Paul were awesome, great tour guides with fun and safe great energy. Definitely recommend coming back.
I would rate this experience a 5!! I would definitely visit again with all my friends. I would recommend this to others!!
The tour/ride itself is fun, and our guides (Rig & Paul) did a great job, but the company also put them between a rock and a hard place with their organization, or lack of. In spite of filling out the on line forms, we had to complete another series of forms that could have also been completed on line. After that was done, we were told where we would load up for the ride to Valley of Fire. While waiting, someone came out and asked if we'd seen the video yet. Answer, no. So we filed into a room to await the video. Something was already playing, but it was nothing more than promotional video. Someone finally came back in and asked if the video was finished, and realized the video they wanted us to watch hadn't even been started. No one came back after that, and once the video reached the point that appeared to no longer be relevant, we all went back out and got in the shuttle. Once we're at the park and the equipment is being unloaded it was obvious that they did not load the equipment that everyone in the group ordered/planned on. As a group (entire group), there should have been two 4 seat dune buggies and three two seat dune buggies. There were only two 2 seat dune buggies on the trailers. Of course we're an hour from the office so three of us (from different families) were on the phone with the office/manager trying to sort things out. They were aware before we left what had been ordered and what was sent, but failed to inform any of us before we left their shop/office. Had they done so, a lot of angst and frustration could have been avoided. The guides were also not informed that the office switched equipment and were stuck an hour away with a bunch of angry customers. A decision was made to start the tour, and someone else would bring the extra dune buggies; however, they didn't even have enough buggies to bring what was actually ordered, so someone was going to be left out. In our case, we talked to the guide who told us that for the trails and sand we would be traveling on, the UTVs were actually more fun and reliable than the dune buggies. That appeared to be true as the entire group had to stop numerous times as the guides had to make repairs to the buggies (that were on the trailers) or pull them out of the sand. At this point, seeing the trouble they had with the dune buggies they had on hand, and the fact that they weren't sending enough dune buggies to fill what was ordered, we chose to stay with the UTV. Again, had they told us all about this before leaving the office, and explained some of the differences, we would have accepted the changes and pressed on. Finally, in our case, since we never received the equipment we asked for, and stuck with the UTV, the manager refunded, the cost of the two seat dune buggy. We just wish there had been less confusion and better communication.
Disorganized, poor equipment, NOT the only ATV/Buggy Company at the Valley of Fire. We had booked this experience months in advance expecting what the website said and the photos displayed - a DUNE BUGGY experience at the Valley of Fire. We really wanted to see the Valley of Fire and they told us they were the only company that was allowed in the park - false! There are several others as we soon saw while we were there. We were picked up at our hotel and spent an extra hour picking up other guests at their hotel and waiting for them (phone calls back and forth because some guests weren't outside waiting, couple of no shows, etc). When we finally arrived at Sun Buggy we sat around and waited for another 30 minutes to get signed in - one tiny bathroom for the approx 100 guests at the company. Finally, given a helmet and handkerchief and loaded on another bus to head to Valley of Fire - it is approximately an hour away. When we arrived, there was a trailer of UTV's waiting for us - NOT DUNE BUGGIES. We can drive UTV's at home. We wanted a Dune Buggy experience, but that is not what we were given. We were very disappointed. We complained as did everyone else and we were told they rarely bring Dune Buggies out there. WHAT!?!?! This is what they advertise and what is on the photo of their website!! We dug in our heels and they FINALLY agreed to have some Dune Buggies brought in from the warehouse - which took approx 1 1/2 hours. We drove the UTV until the Dune Buggies arrived - which was most of the trip. Once, the Dune Buggies got there they realized that some of the batteries were dead and needed charged. This took forever and we felt like all we did was wait. When we got back to their headquarters we asked to speak to a manager, but there was conveniently not a manager available. They said they would call us as soon as possible. No one has ever called. I have called the company several times and sent emails. NO RESPONSE. Very unprofessional. Buyer beware.
Our tour guide Paul was really amazing. He knew the Valley of Fire very well and took us on some amazing trails. Once he realized or confirmed we have been on ATVs before, he took us on some really adventurous trails. This was and all day tour and we did many stops along the way and took in sights and small hikes. Paul was professional, friendly, and a lot of fun. Thank you for the adventure!
Our driver Emmett was great. I felt safe a comfortable and was informed about the days activities. Great Job to Emmett a d Sunbuggy.
We did this tour with Paul. Lunch was complimentary, and so was the fun. Paul was a fantastic Tour guide, and we had a lot of fun and excitement on the utv. If you can get Paul, take it! We also had a nice shuttle ride from our hotel with Emmett!
We had a great and fun day with Paul. He showed us all the best slots and was great to have as our guide. Would highly recommend this tour and request Paul as your guide!
Sunbuggy Las Vegas is a must do! We did the ATV tour and sunbuggy chase. It was an awesome experience. My only complaint is that we didn’t book more time. It was a fun, safe and amazing experience. Levi was our guide and was so informative and knowledgeable. He made sure we had a good time and we all felt safe at all times. Theresa was so helpful in the booking process and making sure we got in even after I messed up our reservations 3x. Sunbuggy Las Vegas truly exceeds all your expectations and goes above and beyond the typical Vegas day trip or excursion. Great for families, couples, singles and friends! Bring extra cash so you can tip the Sunbuggy crew. They go above and beyond and you will want to recognize how hard they are working to make sure you have a good time. Book the longest package you can afford!!! Must do in Vegas. Thank you and we will be back.
Great adventure on the Logandale Trail System just outside the Valley of Fire State Park! Guided by Paul my dad and I had an amazing experience!!! Highly recommend for all that want to experience the great outdoors!!
We had a amazing time for my son birthday. Chad was the best tour guide he made sure I was safe and comfortable with driving. it was so much fun I was a pro by the end of the tour
I never write these but....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! We booked a Valley of Fire tour for 10 people and were combined with at least 14 others and the entire day was a fiasco!! I'll summarize: - zero communication regarding pick up time - totally unorganized-almost 3 hours before we started tour - old, broken down equipment that stalled continuously, or would barely move, and guides had no proper tools for repair - I cannot stress enough to NEVER rent the dune buggys!!!! We were separated most of the trip because of all these problems. - Guides that were non-communicative and left parts of our group totally alone on numerous occasions with no water. At one point it was close to 45 minutes (in the middle of desert) I realize it sounds dramatic but we actually were very scared and super frustrated throughout the trip...we went into it excited and were shocked at how bad it actually was! We never felt safe or like we were in good hands and I would never EVER book through this company again.
D-Mo was so fun and safe! Perfect amount of adrenaline and so memorable! We can’t wait to come back!
Chad was our tour guide and he was amazing! He was funny, safe and made the entire experience. Highly recommend and if you can request Chad do it!! 👍🏼😆
There was 6 of us and we had a great time driving single dune buggies. Our guide Chad was great and kept us in the trail even when we got off the trail. Everyone in the group had a great time and experience.
We typically Do an ATV excursion on every vaca and hands-down this was the best so far! You definitely get what you pay for!! We were a group of 10 and Andy and Corey were awesome!! They made sure everyone stayed safe but they also took us on an EPIC ride!!!
Of course it was a bright hot day, do cover up with a full sleeve T shirt and jogging pants or tights, my wife wore shorts and her legs were burning, Chad are team lead for Dune Buggy was amazing and super helpful he gave us a seat cushion and his orange vest so my wife can cover her legs. THANK YOU CHAD. The staff was amazing, Alicia helped with booking and Dan the man picked us exactly on time. Thank you everyone for a great adventure.
Alex and Chad both great guides. Great pace and friendly. Had a blast with the group. Hope to be bac
Had a blast! Paul did great kept us safe but still a ton of fun! Saw some wildlife too! Greats guys definitely would do this again
The Tarheels Family(Hopper Family)conquered the Valley of fire on August 12, 2021 , with the help of Our tourists Jordan & Flip. They made sure safety was a priority & gave detail information & carefully made sure the equipment was operating properly before we endure the 3.5 hours of the rough terrain. Eat a small breakfast (fruits, grits, oatmeal) drink plenty of water. Eating a meal after the 3.5 joy ride is for the best interest of the customer. This is definitely a must do while on vacation, drink plenty of water & ask for “Jordan & Flip” to be your tour guide/ instructors. The Valley of Death will end up being the Valley of Joy for your benefit. Have fun & let’s ride.
If you want to go into the desert they are the best. Our tour guides Flipp and Irokk they are funny, courteous, and experience guys. The shuttle driver that pick us up at the hotel Black Mike hilarious 🤣 best wake up call! What a day! A most do activity in Vegas! Don't go anywhere else, SunBuggy are the best!
