Ultimate Hoover Dam Tour From Las Vegas

Chris was an excellent guide! He provided information in a fun way and had water for all. He even clicked a few pictures of me at location since I was travelling solo. Adequate time was provided at all locations. I wish the Bureau of Reclamation had provided a longer power plant tour, but it was a great visit overall!

Prepare to be entertained. Our driver Michael was very knowledgable and funny. He even slowed down for the speed bumps. 😄

Definitely worth seeing the Hoover Dam and sights around it! The entire tour from getting on the bus to returning in the afternoon was very organized and well run. Our bus driver Chris was great at timing everything for us and giving us information! Thank you!!

Pick up was late and nobody was greeted or given an explanation why the guide was late. The stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas was a waste for the most part. The Dam tour was great. The guide became personal along the way which was good. Bus was ok

We enjoyed the tour guide Chris very much- He did a great job! Was very knowledgeable and told us some history of Las Vegas and very informative about the Hoover Dam and the workers that built it and the town that formed from that. The only thing was my husband has trouble walking far distances, so the steps -ramps to get to the bridge took a while and we only had so much time there, but we made it to the middle of bridge to take a picture of the dam, we were happy with that and not getting to the other side was ok. It may say something in the description of the tour on your website, and I might not have seen it about the stairs etc. Very happy with the experience.

Power plant tour was great but very short. Our bus driver. Chris, was AMAZING and very informative.

Michael was great he was our bus driver. I was dissapointed that I didn’t have a pick up point at my hotel . I had to walk to the bellagio but, I was able to be dropped off back at treasure island. The tour was great. Stopped to see several things. Just the perfect anoint of time . I encourage everyone to go see it.

Very organized. Pick up was on time. Stops were great. Bonus stop was at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, I did not know that was going to be one of our stops. Our driver Chris was great! He pointed out all the sights on our way out to the dam. Would recommend this tour.

Very worth the time and money. Very informative. Chris our driver was very good with telling us history as we were driving. Great giftshop and small cafe. Water served on toir but id advise bringing some snacks and drink. About 6hoursvfrom pick up to drop off from golden nugget..

We were the last ones picked up. The only seats left were the ones in the back. The window was covered and I couldn’t see out of them. Taking a tour bus is to see outside. It was awful to sit on the bus and have the window covered with some type of frosted plastic. The guide was great. Our driver Richard on bus 1957 had a very loud voice; although we asked him to turn down the volume on multiple occasions, his non-ending commentary continued almost incessantly during the tour. It made it difficult for us to relax and enjoy the tour. The tour was listed as a 4 1/2 hour tour; however, Richard made additional photo opportunity stops on the way back from Hoover Dam and as a result we were one hour late getting back into town. The movie at the Hoover Dam as well as the power plant tour and exhibitions at the dam were excellent.

Fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend when visiting Las Vegas. Work it into your itinerary!!!

You do need a guide who doesn’t have a strong accent. I couldn’t understand 1/2 the historical information. So got a book. Otherwise it is definitely worth getting the tour.

Might run a little behind schedule, but an awesome tour! We had a great tour guide (Oscar) who was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time for pictures and souvenirs. The dam was awesome and the tour inside was interactive and engaging!

To get to the bridge to take good pictures of hoover dam from a distance. You have to hike up sixty nine stairs or take a handicap ramp. Take water and a hat with you. But hold on to your hat, as it can get windy at the top. Definitely wear sunscreen. Our driver Chris was so kind and made sure that everybody had plenty of water and the best places to stop for pictures. The hoover dam tour itself lasts about thirty minutes after you watch a fifteen minute video. You go to two different locations in the dam. This is a Federal Facility, so it is not typically open to the public. We felt very lucky to be able to get inside.

Bus was more than 30 minutes late at pickup. Didn’t leave town until 9:45 instead of 9. Got back about 1 hour late. Tour guide cancelled so bus driver did it. Wasn’t great.

Tour itself was excellent. Driver/tour leader’s jokes were crude and inappropriate. Dam is fascinating.

We had an amazing experience on the Ultimate Hoover Dam Tour with Gray line! Our driver, Chris, was absolutely wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, detailed, professional, and kept us informed throughout the entire trip. He explained the history and different sights along the way in a way that made the tour even more interesting and enjoyable. The tour was well organized, comfortable, and definitely worth it. Chris made the experience extra special with his great personality and all the information he shared. Michael was a great tour guide,lots of laughs and very knowledgeable. Hoover Dam itself was absolutely amazing, the structure is a stand out in saying that we were a tad disappointed in the plant tour,it was basic to what we expected and hubby being in the construction industry and we weren't told you could apparently upgrade. But a great tour and day

Excellent six hour tour from Las Vegas. Our driver/guide Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable, giving an extended commentary on the outward journey. The extra stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign (a mile south of the strip) was appreciated as was the stop to allow a visit to the Tillman Memorial Bridge for great viewd of the dam. The tour included a ticket for the Dam's power plant tour ($25 if booked separately) so very good value overall

Great experience. If you have kids, you may want to bring a few snacks and a drink for the ride there and back. It’s a little longer drive getting there because it makes a few stops. They do provide bottled water when you get to the dam There was a bathroom on our bus.

Tour bus guide was informative. Movie was good. My only real issue was that visitor gave me incorrect info on where to meet bus. It was very hot so difficult to enjoy whole experience.

Our bus driver, Michael, was very funny & helpful. He made a lot of dam jokes while also including a lot of information about the area, it's history, and about the dam itself. The pickup was a little delayed due to rain but nothing terrible, enough time for coffee. We made pit stops at a few locations to see the sights & take photos, starting with the Vegas sign, then Lake Mead, and the Memorial Bridge prior to arriving at the Hoover Dam. We got Power Plant tours included and that was great to see! This is definitely a shorter trip, we plan to go back to Hoover another time on our own to spend more time to explore the place more, but it was a fantastic addition to our limited time in Vegas!

We had a good time. Our driver Michael was very friendly and funny. We had a couple of really nice stops before hitting Hoover Dam. If anything I don't think there was enough time to see the dam after the 30 minute inside tour, which took awhile to begin due to the crowds. Overall fun experience.

Wonderful way to learn about the Hoover Dam! Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience both interesting and enjoyable. We learned so much about the history and construction of the dam, and getting to see beautiful Lake Mead along the way was an added bonus. Very efficient and effective way to see the Hoover Dam. You hit the highlights and do it in a timely manner without feeling rushed or like you have “time to kill.” Micheal, our driver, was great.

Great tour out to the Hoover Dam, Michael was entertaining and informative. All stops were worthwhile and if a stop in Boulder City could be included the tour would be even better. Clear instructions given at every stop. Thoroughly enjoyable!
