Small Group Hoover Dam, Powerplant & O'callahan Bridge Tour

This was our third tour with this company. Darryl only does small group tours and he does them well! Prices are very reasonable, especially for Vegas. Darryl is very knowledgeable about Nevad and Vegas and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend any of the tours he has, you won't be disappointed! We will use Grand Adventure tours again.

The tour was a great excursion from Las Vegas. Alfonso was very friendly and easygoing. He was a great tour guide, informative and very knowledgeable. He took great pictures of our group at the Las Vegas welcome sign and at the Hoover Dam. The transportation was comfortable and pick up convenient. The experience was amazing.

Nice tour, very personal. We did not make it onto the bridge, but enjoyed the facts and commentary from Alfonso. He took lots of fabulous pictures and sent them to us. Would definitely use again!

This was my first trip to the United States, and on my bucket list I wanted to see the Hoover Dam. I booked a tour with Grand Adventures - so glad I did. Due to a couple not being able to make the tour, I had a solo tour with my awesome tour guide, Alfonso - he was so friendly, interesting and engaging and had so much knowledge about this extraordinary piece of engineering. On the tour, we visited the Las Vegas sign, amazed at the beautiful Lake Mead and historical Boulder City and took in the gorgeous landscape of Nevada before reaching the spectacular Hoover Dam. Throughout the tour, Alfonso provided a history of Las Vegas, together with interesting facts about the topography etc. Along the way, Alfonso offered to take photos which was so great - a lasting memory of the great day and the wonderful sites seen. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Alfonso for such a great tour.

I was unable to go because my husband was ill. My friends who did go had a great time. They shared that Paul, the tour guide, was wonderful and went above and beyond to meet the needs of each individual on the tour. Traveling with a small group is the best way to see Hoover Dam.

My wife and I were visiting Las Vegas and we booked the Hoover dam powerplant tour. Alphonso was our guide. He was patient and very helpful. He took many pictures and was knowledgeable about many aspects of our tour! If you like history and engineering the powerplant is a fun visit. Views are amazing. Recommended 👍👍

Darryl was very accommodating in the pick up as we were slightly off the strip. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was described and I would certainly recommend it to anyone traveling out to Nevada. I was amazed at the sight of the Hoover Dam and the work that went into its construction.

What a wonderful tour we had with our tour guide Alfonso. We happened to be the only people he had so it was like our own private tour. He drove us through Las Vegas, Boulder City & also Lake Mead. He gave us so much history about each spot along the way, with some fun facts that we did not get from our Hoover Dam Guide. He even walked us right to the entrance of the tour at the dam giving us history along the way, while also stopping at some great spots to take pictures of us. He made sure we had plenty of water throughout our tour. He truly was an incredible guide and if you are booking a guided tour with Grand Adventures you won’t be sorry ask for Alfonso. Aaron & Renée

This is the perfect tour for anyone that wants to learn the history of Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. It included a stop at Lake Mead, the bridge, a tour of the workings of the dam, and time to see the newly renovated Visitor Center. Darryl was friendly, courteous and a wonderful tour guide. Highly recommend!

Darryl took us on an amazing tour of the Hoover Dam. He is a wealth of information on the entire area. He is also very friendly, engaging and personable. A genuine soul! We had the best time. After the dam, he took us to a spot where he thought there might be big horn sheep and sure enough, there were a whole herd! Communication and timing was great. We recently visited the Hoover dam through Viator with grand adventures as our host. Our guide Alfonso was one of the most knowledgeable guides we have had . he was very patient due to the fact that I was on crutches and was extremely helpful. Alfonso helped make a tough situation much better with all his experience.

It was probably the best tour I’ve taken in the Vegas area. A small group tour is the only way to go. There’s no pushing and shoving to get a good view.
