Small Group Grand Canyon Skywalk & Hoover Dam Tour

Boy did we get lucky! We ended up in a small tour van versus a bus and i believe we got the best tour guide ever! Ask for Alfonso. Very knowledgeable about multiple points along our travels. He can carry a conversation like he knew you for years! Highly recommend this group for your trip. He also took multiple pictures of our group during the excursions.

Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable, very friendly, and an excellent photographer! Got to see the famous Las Vegas sign, the Joshua Tree Forrest, the Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon with the skywalk at Eagle Point and Guano Point. Alphonso is the best!

Alfonso, our guide and driver, did an amazing job! He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely engaged throughout the tour. He provided interesting historical background and detailed explanations at every stop, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. He was also very interactive and made everyone feel involved. The tour was extremely well organized and so much fun. Highly recommended!

Wonderful tour to Las Vegas sign, Hoover Dam (outside 45 min), Joshua Tree National Park, Grand Canyon West Rim. Our tour guide, Alfonso, was very good and told us the history of the region. He also helped with taking pictures. We stopped at McDonald's for breakfast and was provided sandwiches for lunch. We visited in late October. The crowds were light.

BEST tour we've EVER been on! Alfonso, our guide, was amazing!! He was SO knowledgeable about all of the places we went & we learned so much from him! He narrates the tour, providing facts, history, & was a careful driver! He took pictures of us at every stop, and made sure they were good! He was so courteous, friendly, and patient as we looked around. A stop for breakfast was included as well as a sack lunch, with plenty of bottled water available to us all day! We left promptly at 7am & arrived back at our hotel about 7pm. Ask for Alfonso as your guide, & you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I booked this experience expecting to enjoy some breathtaking views, but it turned out to be so much more than that. It was a truly special and memorable experience. A huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Alfonso. His knowledge of every landmark we visited was truly impressive, and he was so enthusiastic and passionate about sharing everything he knew with us. He made the whole experience both interesting and engaging. He was kind and thoughtful throughout the entire tour, always allowing us to take our time and enjoy every moment without feeling rushed. And the cherry on top was that he even offered to take pictures of us throughout the day, giving us beautiful memories that will help us remember this special experience forever. The Grand Canyon is absolutely breathtaking, and the adventure itself is wonderful. But what truly made this day unforgettable was Alfonso. The worst tour …arrived late and wasted time getting food at McDonald’s and Abby’s . Plus the tour guide talked non stop spewing out worthless information … stay away

This was awesome trip. The small group tour is a great decision to make. Awesome from start to finish. Alfonso our driver and tour guide was Awesome and he is a great photographer. Highly recommend this tour! It was amazing! We planned a quick trip to Vegas and this tour was the best way to spend a day! You get to see a lot of iconic places with breathtaking views. Our tour guide, Alfonso, was the best! He was full of knowledge and very funny. He is a great photographer as well. He went out of his way to make sure to take really cool pics of everyone and captured the whole adventure. Alfonso really created special memories for us! It was the perfect size small group. The bathroom breaks were perfectly planned along the trip. The tour exceeded our expectations!

Hi my name is Nicole and I’m from Australia. Alfonso was my tour guide on the 12th of October to the Grand Canyon West and Hoover dam. What an absolutely awesome tour this was, from beginning to end. Alfonso is one of the most committed and genuinely enthusiastic guides I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He is kind, helpful, always happy to answer questions, knows his stuff and very knowledgeable, very interested in nature and animals, shows patience and empathy and was always so happy to help. I am travelling solo, and often struggle to get a nice photo of myself. Alfonso is an excellent photographer and was so enthusiastic about taking pics and making sure the moment was remembered. I so appreciated this, and the photos he took were lovely. The tour is a small group, and I was picked up from the very front door at my hotel. Alfonso immediately made me feel welcome and introduced me to the rest of the group. He is a very good driver also, safe, and always slowed down when there was something interesting to see outside so we didn’t miss it. He always was offering water, and the included lunch was DELICIOUS. I loved stopping at McDonald’s for breakfast as well, and the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. It was just a really nice start to the tour. It was raining for our tour, but Alfonso made sure we were not pressured or hurried, and stated that we could stay as long as we had to in order to get a good view of the canyon. He genuinely cares that his guests have a memorable time. We did get some great photos and even saw a rainbow over the canyon. Amazing. One of my favourite memories was Alfonso playing U2’s song in the van while chatting about the Joshua trees (the tree is on the bands album). It’s little things like this that make this tour more personal and enjoyable. Alfonso worked hard for the entire day, he surely must have been tired from all of the driving, but still made sure to stop for the Hoover Dam and take some more great photos. Thank you for a day that I will never forget. If you have the opportunity to book this tour- DO IT, you absolutely will not regret it. I don’t often bother writing detailed reviews and I can be a bit picky, but this tour and company 100% deserve the praise. I have no negatives to offer which is rare! Our driver/guide Alonso, was great! He knew the best spot for pictures and made sure we got the best pictures. The ride was enjoyable as he provided not just the information but also the back story! Including understandable geological facts and cultural clarification!

We left at 6 am. I thought that was a little early as it was vacation, but it was awesome! No crowds. We were the only ones at Hoover Dam and there weren’t many people at the Grand Canyon when we got there, but a large crowd when we left. Our guide, Paul, was exceptional. He was informative and thorough as well as friendly and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

We booked this tour after doing a fair bit of research. This one stuck out due to the great feedback about the tour guides, in particular Alfonso. And we fell lucky, Alfonso definitely made the day. Engaging, entertaining, knowledgeable and most important a great photographer 📸. The tour has left us with the best memories & photos of our trip to Vegas. The group was small & we met some really nice people on it. Great spots along the way & early doors meant not too many tourists. This tour definitely ticked all the boxes for us, would highly recommend 👌

This is a fantastic tour and I can highly recommend it. Pick up on time, breakfast and lunch included. Darryl was an excellent guide with a wealth of knowledge of the locations visited. There is plenty of time to explore the Hoover Dam and a stop to view the Joshua Trees was a nice way to stretch your legs. Regular comfort stops available along the way if required! The Grand Canyon is spectacular and the Sky Walk is a must do even if you don’t have a head for heights. Darryl had the tickets ready for entry, which was seamless. There is also an opportunity to purchase photographs taken as a memento of your visit. Darryl was on hand to take photographs and answer any questions. He also made an additional stop on the way back to a lovely park where we saw long horns - a beautiful sight. All in all, we had a great day out and can’t speak highly enough of Darryl and the tour as a whole. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful day with all details well thought out and we feel like we really did a lot for the amount of time. We had a very nice ride, adequate stops to stretch or use bathroom , meals were pre planned , Our guide Paul communicated great prior and during . He was alot of fun and very knowledgeable . Due to unforeseen circumstances, other patrons had cancelled, but lucky for us we had the good fortune of having a private tour that day! Even better, our tour guide, Alfonso was more than amazing! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, but he provided great details and stories of the history of Lake Meade, Hoover dam, Joshua Tree & the Grand Canyon as well as geology of the areas visited. We appreciated learning about the Hualapai Nation people of the Grand Canyon as well. In addition to all the information shared, Alfonso was very accommodating to any areas we wanted to see, as well as taking the most beautiful pictures and poses of us as a couple in this beautiful landscape. We‘ve never had a tour guide who paid so much attention to detail and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful day which we did! It was a tour of a lifetime we will never forget! We have gone on several tours through Viator and had very good tour guides, but Alfonso was the best! This was a wonderful tour. Alfonso was outstanding! He was very knowledgeable and very personable. From the moment he picked us up at 6 am to the moment he dropped us off at 7:30 pm, he was very attentive. He took amazing pictures of the group and of individuals! He took the time to explain all the history and answer questions. The small group atmosphere makes it very personalized. We only had seven people total on our tour. This is fully guided which has its pros and cons, however if you’re looking for that, this is your tour! It was a memorable day, we will never forget.

From start to finish it really was an amazing experience. Alfonso really is a professional in his craft. Personable and such a really nice man. Insightful and very knowledgeable. He knew all the best spots to make our day so special, be it photo opportunities or even just brilliant views of the places we stopped at. It was a memorable tour, covering two two great wonders of the world. The van was a bit late in picking us up but the driver/guide, Mr Alfonso Vargas, called us and kept us informed. He was an excellent, courteous, knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour. He gave us detailed background information of all the places we visited including relevant statistics, and significance of the places. There was never a dull moment during the entire trip.

Cannot recommend this trip enough, excellent value for money, you get to spend loads of time at both the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon, lots of photo opportunities. Our guide for the day was Alfonso, what a great guy, super friendly and his knowledge of Las Vegas, it's surroundings, the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon is endless, plus he'l keep you supplied with cold bottles of water all day, if you book this trip ask for Alfonso, can't go wrong, guaranteed a great day.

Paul was an enthusiastic and informative guide. He entertained us with anecdotes and fun facts all day. It made the drive go quickly. The Hoover dam walk was amazing and the canyon breathtaking. The Sky Walk was fun, I loved dancing on the glass.

What a brilliant day with Alfonso! Pick up was at our hotel followed by photos at the Las Vegas sign; then breakfast!
