The tour was amazing. Our tour guide Chris was absolutely knowledgeable and patient with us, especially with it being our first time. He made it absolutely fun, there’s squirt guns on your kayaks. Use them. It’s like being a kid again on the water! We had a wonderful time! Everyone at River Dogs were so helpful. Especially when my bf fell over all the tour guides from river dogs who were on the water immediately helped and our trip was able to keep going.

River Dogz made it real easy to kayak the Colorado River. We reserved kayaks the afternoon before. We arrived early and were on our way in a couple minutes. This allowed us to have the Emerald Cave to ourselves.

Took a nice 2 mile paddle to Emerald Cave. The scenery is amazing but the cave is not quite worthy of all the hype and there may be a waIt to actually paddle into it. River Dogz was great to deal with, giving us tips on our self-guided paddle to make things run smoother and get the most from our rental experience.

Great family adventure had so much fun highly recommended.

We had such a great experience with River Dogs Kayak Rentals for our self-guided trip to Emerald Cave! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and easy. The team got us set up quickly, explained exactly where to go, and made sure we felt confident navigating the route on our own. What really stood out was how thoughtful they were—they even gave us water bottles before launch, which was such a nice touch (and definitely appreciated out on the water!). The directions were clear, and the whole process felt organized without being rushed. The self-guided option was perfect because we could take our time, enjoy the scenery, and explore at our own pace. If you’re heading to Emerald Cave and want a stress-free, well-run rental experience, I’d absolutely recommend them!

I had such a great experience on this tour. Communication was great from the start and pick up from the hotel was seamless. The guide was fantastic and friendly. It was my first time in a kayak and she explained everything perfectly. It was such a beautiful area and calming, I wish I could do it again!

He gave clear instructions before starting and made sure everyone was comfortable and confident. He was fun and friendly. To top it off, he took pictures and sent them to us. Great communication, easy launch and pickup 10 out of 10 recommend! Rented a car from Turo from LV to Willow Beach. Took about 45 minutes from LV to arrive. Avoid roockie mistakes: you're provided a bottle of water, time change between NV and AZ be sure to account for that, bring or buy water shoes. The bait shop has snacks, clothing, shoes, drinks. If you have time stop at the Hoover Damn and scenic view stops.

We had a truly wonderful time kayaking from Willow Beach up the Colorado River to the breathtaking Emerald Cave. The entire journey was incredibly beautiful, with crystal-clear green water and stunning canyon walls surrounding us. ​Our guide, Tyler, was fantastic! He was highly entertaining and clearly knew the river well. He made the experience enjoyable and informative for everyone. We especially appreciated that this tour is great for new people to kayaking, as Tyler provided clear instructions and ensured everyone felt safe and comfortable on the water. ​An extra bonus was that snacks were provided—a perfect touch for a mid-paddle break. We highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable day on the Colorado River!

Omg, I can’t express how awesome it was! Not to mention how incredibly nice the workers were — their communication was outstanding. They answered every question I had clearly and respectfully. I even messaged them drunk the day before 😬, but they were still so nice! The kayaking itself was beautiful and so relaxing. I’d 100% go again!

Absolutely fantastic! River Dogz knows what they're doing when it comes to kayaking. The trip to Emerald Cave was a relaxing out-and-back paddle on the Colorado that would be great for beginners, or enthusiasts who want a low-key/low-stress way to spend the day. Michelle did a great job pointing out wildlife that most of us might have missed otherwise, and she made sure everyone was hydrated and had snacks! I would book with them again, but next time I'll do the longer trip option because this was so enjoyable, I'd want more kayaking time!

I liked Kayaking. I do it in general. However, if feel the cave was very deceiving. Not at all as big as I thought it was gonna be.

This was such an amazing experience! Beautiful area to explore whether you are an experienced kayaker or a beginner. Julia was our guide and she was very knowledgeable about the plants and history of this area. This was my daughter’s first time kayaking and Julia was very patient with her and the rest of us. Such a fun day. Would definitely recommend!!

From the moment we arrived, the team was welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. Gaby was a standout guide—knowledgeable, energetic, and full of stories that brought the river and surrounding landscape to life. She made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident, regardless of experience level. Her instructions were clear, her encouragement constant, and her enthusiasm contagious!
