Self-drive Emerald Cave Kayak Tour-guided Willow Beach Paddle

We booked this trip and when we got there the tour guide had his dog with him. He said he was taking his dog along with the tour(first time the dog was in a kayak) . He helped us in our kayak and we waited about 10 minutes because the tour guide kept try to put his dog back in the kayak because the dog kept jumping out. Then he said to us I am going to cancel the kayak tour. We had to get out of the kayak and drive back 45 to our hotel. Needless to say we were not happy. The tour guides name was Josh. Never again. Waiting for our refund.

We had a great time! Our group was small and we took two kids (6&10) with us. Our guide, Josh did a great job of explaining the area’s history and sharing fun facts. He was very patient with the kids and took lots of pictures for us. 10/10 would do it again!

Doug was the best! He knew so much about the area and I learned a lot from him. He was a very good guide and let us go at our pace. I loved it and you will be happy with Doug

This was my Husband’s and I first time kayaking. Doug was a phenomenal tour guide. He was very polo and patient with us. He’s also very knowledgeable. He gave us a ton of great tips and places to tour. Highly satisfied with this experience.

The trip was amazing. Our guide Eddie was great. He was very attentive to us and shared a lot of history of the area. He took lots of pictures and shared them with us. It was also great to have a small group to paddle with.

What a fantastic way to spend a day. We did the morning tour with Robert. There were 4 Kayaks total. Robert was very attentive to everyone in the group. I would highly recommend this tour. Even though the temperature was 100 outside, the Colorado River temperature was 50 degrees. The coolness of the water temperature made it very comfortable and refreshing. Our tour was from 9am-1pm. Robert was the best. I highly recommend!

Robert was an absolutely FANTASTIC tour guide!! He was one of the first ones there in the morning, had all of our kayaks set up and ready to go even before the scheduled time. He was so friendly and helpful, and was a wealth of knowledge along with providing drinks and snacks! He took lots of photos of us during the trip, and send us the link within 2 hours of completion (the photos were free, too! So nice!!). We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience because of Robert!! Sure, you can save a few pennies to rent kayaks and do the trip on your own…but you won’t get any of the tidbits of information about the area. And THIS specific company did a fantastic job maintaining communication and making sure we were satisfied! There are SO many choices out there, but I’d highly recommend this one!!

Everything about this adventure was wonderful!!! We opted for a tandem kayak because we ride a tandem bicycle and it the kayak was super fun. The location is beautiful and the day was serene. Our guide, Eddie, put it all together and made it even more memorable. Thank you, Eddie!

We had an epic adventure with Eddie on our kayak trip to Emerald cave. We learned about local history and culture. We had a short hike to a lookout Point and on route he identified many plants, telling us about cultural and medicinal uses. Emerald cave was so beautiful, the water was a shade I had never seen and reflected off the roof of the cave, and he took many photos and videos throughout our trip. I had difficulty getting back to our starting point due to wrist injury, Eddie tethered our kayak and assisted me getting back to our starting point. I would recommend him as a guide without hesitation. He is a knowledgeable, kind and fun guide.

This was honestly so fun. Our guide was Eddie. We rented tandem kayaks to do with our kids and it worked out perfectly. It was about 3.5 hours and 4 miles of paddling but it was smooth the whole way. Granted we had a beautiful day. Be aware of the sit to get into emerald cave though, with multiple tours that do this same trip- you can wait up to an hour near the cave just to get your photo. Our guide had snacks, and that was a perfect time to take a break! They also took pictures and videos for us, so you can just take in the views!

We had the perfect day with THE best guide. Pure magic. Johnny’s vibe was exactly right for our family adventure down the Colorado River. The weather Gods were completely with us the entire way. The stop at the Emerald Cave was perfection with the afternoon sun casting the ideal light for us. Totally unexpected bonus was the opportunity to do little cliff jumping and cool off in the river before heading back to base. Johnny was super generous in providing plenty of snacks and ice cold water! We couldn’t be happier with the whole day 💙

We had an amazing time on our kayak tour with our guide, Jonny. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and shared interesting history about the lake along the way. My daughter was initially a bit nervous about kayaking on her own, but Jonny reassured her and made her feel confident—and she ended up loving it! The experience itself is fantastic, with absolutely stunning views throughout. Just be prepared to get a little wet, and there’s a short uphill hike, but no special footwear is needed. Highly recommend this tour!

Pretty fun time, definitely think it was worth every penny if you’re trying to get away from the city and be on the water. My biggest fear was it'd be a short 30 minute experience but nope we were on the water for about 3 hours and loved every second of it. We stopped at 2 different places hiked up a hill to get some photos and learn about the history then we went to the emerald cave. I would definitely do it again 10 / 10. Eddie also was a really great guide you could tell hes passionate and really cared about kayaking and his business on the water and that extra care makes the experience even better.

Eddie was absolutely amazing! Instructions were sent ahead of the tour day via text message and were super helpful in finding the location. The tour size was small, just my partner and I! The kayaking was so beautiful. Eddie took lots of photos and videos for us. And when my phone did not receive the photos via airdrop he even sent an iCloud link so I could download. I would definitely book another tour with this company.

We had an amazing time with Eddie! He was always making sure we were ok and we definitely felt secure with him. Our first stop on the river was a little hike up to a historic cabin. Before and afterwards we jumped into the river to cool off. Then we got back into our kayaks to the cave. The emerald cave is beautiful. Eddie made sure to take photos of us in the cave. He was super friendly and personable. I highly recommend booking the emerald cave kayak excursion with Eddie!

Eddie was absolutely fantastic guiding our tour with my mom and I. He was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful despite her being nervous about the paddle. He tooks great pictures and some video for us also. We enjoyed being able to get out of the kayak also to visit the historical site. Lots of great information, beautiful views, and a leisurely pace that worked well for our group. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
