We truly enjoyed the Lion Habitat. Everywhere we travel we like to visit the zoo, but since Las Vegas has no zoo, we visited the Lion Habitat we were truly happy to actual see the animals awake, and walking around. The volunteers answered all our questions, and provided some very great information on all the animals. Being a senior we also enjoyed the seating, and table around the park so a senior can rest during the tour.

Loved seeing the lions, beautiful animals they are very big and up close. Only thing separating you from them is a chain linked fence, so close you feel there breath.
It is well worth the experience and to escape the Vegas strip for a few hours. It was an amazing experience to be up close with lions and other animals. The staff is friendly and can answer any questions.
My kids had fun and the people working there were very knowledgeable. The lions were very well taken care and the workers very friendly.
You have to get tickets online! Not very big! Only opens right at 10:00 am. If you’re early you have to wait in your car.
This is an amazing place. The animals are very well taken care of and in clean and comfortable enclosures. There were lions, birds (emus, ostriches, macaws), tortoises, and others. Both the animals and staff are happy to interact with each other. All the animals were responsive to us as well. We had a great time with Rocky, who loves to talk.
Great place to go for a quick outing. Beautiful lions and friendly staff
Worried when arrived b/c the "office" seemed like a shack and the exterior is very unimpressive. Super pleased overall. Was very enjoyable, educational, and appreciated the easy interaction opportunities with very knowledgeable, accessible, and friendly keepers that clearly adore the cats in the place. Aside from the lions, there are macaws, emus, and tortoises (though the lions are the crux). ProTip: Time it right in terms of when you go so you can see feeding, enrichment, and speaking opportunities with Rocky and Ringo (not lions!). Budget 1-1/2 to 2 hours if you time it right; otherwise your visit will be quick.
What a way to end our trip! These animals were amazing! And their caretakers absolutely love them! Being so close to see the spots on Winston’s nose was so memorable! I may not make it to a safari, but I’ve seen a BIG cat up close! Take the behind-the-scenes tour SO WORTH IT!! And your gift shop was so cute , and I was able to buy such cute vacation goodies for my grandkids.
We had a lot of fun. We loved the animals and the volunteers were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable and kind with the children in the group.
We had a lovely time at the habitat. Every our taxi driver said he’d forgotten it was there and that he would have to take his son. The lions were great to see. We saw them being fed by staff and also paying guests which was great.
My husband and I did a Behind the Scenes Tour with Kelly and had a great time. She was very knowledgeable about all of the animals and birds and made the tour fun. We loved the experience so much that we added on feeding a lion. We both got to feed Benny and it was quite an experience! They're doing great work at this facility. I highly recommend visiting and taking this tour.
Had a most memorable experience here and would go back. My husband and I had a great time. The weather was perfect. Will be back. The animals seem to be happy and relaxed.
During a recent Vegas vacation, my wife and I stopped in at Lion Habitat Ranch. We had heard about this facility from the days when the lions used to be on exhibit at the MGM Grand. When off exhibit, they were housed here. That exhibit closed in 2012. We did not book a tour! We simply paid admission, signed a waiver and wandered in. This is a fantastic facility for the care they give to the animals that they house. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, including volunteers. Note carefully: THIS IS NOT A ZOO! It is a small housing area for the offspring of the original MGM lions. Some may look at the chain link cages and dirt floors and want to dismiss this facility or consider it cruel. Think for a minute. While these are wild animals, these lions are been born and raised in captivity. They even come when called by name. They are given enrichment daily to continue the growth of their natural instincts, but again, these cats are captive born. It isn't cruel. They are well fed, and well cared for. This is a good experience to enable children to see these magnificent animals up close. The facility also houses a pair of emu, an ostrich, and several birds and tortoises. The facility is clean and well maintained. it doesn't take more than an hour to tour the facility. I also recommend stopping by the gift shop. All proceeds go toward the care and feeding of these animals. All in all, we had a very nice visit.
Awesome staff. The place is so clean and the animals are so well cared for. Totally enjoyed the experience.
We really enjoyed it. Friendly staff. Lots of animal being feed so he got an up close experience. Very clean and nice facility. All animals look very healthy. A+ experience
absolutely beautiful the lions were so beautiful. All the lions were beautiful and I really enjoyed myself. I stayed there and didn’t want to leave. All the workers there were very friendly and kind. That place is affordable and you should go it’s a place you must see.
Smaller than what I expected but cool experience. For the price it’s ok. Wish there was more interaction with lions
It’s definitely something different to do. Great for the kids! We can get up close with the lions. It’s not crowded and the keepers are very informative and friendly. I was surprised to hear that a lion’s roar is nothing to what I thought it was. 10 out of 10.
It was not impressive and I could have definitely kept my 80 dollars! Save your money, go out to eat a nice dinner.
Great experience but just be cautious of the lions when they aim at you lol. Workers are knowledgeable and friendly with no hesitations in answering questions.
awesome the availability to act feed them was incredible very beautiful beasts well taken care of and very healthy
Myself, husband & mum visited here 9th February. We heard that the MGM lions were now in a ranch outside of Las Vegas & would be nice to see this sanctuary. We booked a behind the scenes tour & were the only ones doing this. The keeper, Ali hosted our tour & she was wonderful. Giving us a thorough insight, not just to the lions, but the other animals (tortoises, emus, ostriches & parrots) in their care. Myself & my husband added a shared lion feeding to our tour, as this was an amazing opportunity that we don’t have in the UK. We chose to feed one of the bigger boys, Winston who was already waiting 🥰. We chose to stay after the tour (buying some snacks), then sat on a bench outside the enclosure with Coco & Cheeto & watched the volunteers feeding them. We watched Winston have an enrichment session with an emu egg. This was an amazing day & we reluctantly left about half hour before closing. We absolutely loved this place, wonderful solitude from the lights of the Vegas strip. It was a privilege seeing all these beautiful creatures up close, as well as talking to the lovely keepers & volunteers. All of which you can see love the animals & have a real passion to be there. The animals are well cared for & in excellent condition. As non-profit every penny taken goes towards their food & care, we loved the educational concept they are achieving. It was easy to get there & back via uber - approx 25 mins. Would highly recommend visiting & supporting their work.
Great time, clean environment! Loved all the exhibits especially the birds! Wasn’t expecting that, really easy fun day for the kids!
My daughter loves lions!! All the lions were out and we had interactive experiences with a few of the lions and my daughter got to feed a lion. We would highly recommend folks visit.
Well worth the time/cost.....fantastic educational diversion from Las Vegas. Had NO idea about this place until referred by a friend. Was one of the most fascinating places we've been in a long time! Get real up and close to these creatures including....nearly getting sprayed by one of the male lions!
Place is beautiful. But the staff is bit rude specially the person at front desk . He speak so loud at us our children got scared the whole time .. they not even enjoy at all .
You get to see animals up close. However, there aren’t a lot of animals. Gift shop has good variety for being small. Volunteer trainers are very nice. Entrance had a huge speed bump that was difficult to transverse on my wheelchair. Overall, worth the money.
Close up experience with big cats, tortoises and birds, workers very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. Worth the cost and time!
The animals looked healthy, and lived in a very spacious clean environment. The staff were very friendly and caring. Offered great information. Loved the picture at the end with the lion!
I loved this experience! We came at just the right time, because we were able to watch the staff feed them, and also get whipped cream! So fun and they were just beautiful. The staff is so caring and really loves taking care of these spectacular creatures!
Had a great tour with Jessie. Dude was my favorite as he is the oldest and I might have seen him at the MGM on a previous visit. He's the only one left it's possible. Winston models like a toy. Rocky is awesome and so handsome. Everyone is special in their own way- tortoises, birds, lionesses. Go meet them!
I loved the entire show experience from the animals stories and the explanations from the keepers. Will definitely visit again
We visited and were able to chat with volunteer Jim. He talked to us about the place and animals, answered any of our questions and made sure we made it to the feeding. When they have another activity going on, he let us know and helped us take pictures of our group. If you go, look for volunteer Jim!
This was a wonderful place to visit. It helped that the weather cooperated, and it wasn’t terribly hot in the desert. All of the lions were very cooperative and were friendly towards us. The parrots and tortoises added to the fun of seeing all these amazing animals. They all look very healthy, well fed, and well tended to. The volunteers and other doses were wonderful hosts to us. They answered all our questions and actually provided more information than we.
This is a unique experience and the entire family of all ages had a blast! I highly recommend this attraction and definitely pay the extra fee to feed the lion!
It was ok could have been more activity and have guided tours with information about the exhibit. This is an uncontrolled environment. You should not be on your own going through this exhibit there should be guided tours and other people to inform you of the nature of the lions kept there.
The Lion Habitat experience exceeded my expectations! I was greeted by friendly staff members at check-in, signed my waiver form, and I was on my way to exploring the well kept property. Each staff member I encountered throughout my visit was very helpful and willing to answer any questions I had about the animals and their stories. There were multiple cooling areas for guests, a gift shop, and restrooms on site. I loved being able to explore freely and interact with people at will. Also, you’ll get free photo opps with Rocky (Lion) during one of his feeding times. There’s so much more to this experience, but I’ll save some of the excitement for you to experience when you arrive! I highly recommend visiting this attraction, and I plan to return soon. Remember to bring your water bottles. ☺️
Had a nice time but was worried that all we were going to see were sleeping lions. Fortunately they started feeding their daily snacks so they were up an moving finally. I wish they had a more natural habitat to live in but they do look well cared for and fed very well.
We made a quick stop on the way out of Vegas. This is a very small habitat, but if you like the big cats, worth being able to see them up close. There were about 20 other visitors in the area while we were there. They did a couple feedings that we could watch (morning visit), as well as one of the lions displayed his "artistic" talent by walking on paint and then on paper to go for sale in the gift shop. There is a photo opp for the family with a lion posing behind the glass. Staff are very friendly and willing to talk to you and answer questions. We were there for an hour, maybe could have stretched it for another half hour if desired. Basically walk in a big square looking in all the enclosures. Nice visit, even with the heat.
Awesome experience at the lion habitat! Kiddos got to hear a lions roar for the first time. We took a break from the strip to go
Closest I've ever been to an actual lion. I know they care for the Lions but it just seemed like they were way too skinny.
great place!! great experience that you don't find in other places. Loved coming here can't wait to come back again next year. When we come
The lions are huge and breath taking ... extremely hot out there though....I appreciate what the habitat gives ..I think I expected something different.Overall Beautiful Exhibit
We did the share lion feeding and was amazing to see these beautiful creatures up close. The staff there was incredibly nice and helpful, something we'll definitely do again
Just be hydrated! And just enjoy how awesome and well kept the park is! Loved the lion feedings it was so cool
We went about noon and some of the lions were out, we got some great pictures and the birds are beautiful
This was the best part of our trip to Vegas. Feeding the lions was AMAZING!!! The staff was super friendly and they do an amazing job of scheduling feedings and enrichment around the guests arriving. 12/10 would do this again.
Super family friendly Vegas activity. I am not a zoo person and thought this was neat. Love the project and what they are doing.
It was as a beautiful experience and I could see the lions are well taken care of and loved by everyone!
