It never happened. They kept trying to reschedule me but did not have any times I was available. They should issue a refund but they won’t. Worst tour ever. Needs to be removed

Absolutely amazing service.
honest review, easy to get there the guide was friendly, it was a small group which was nice. the horses where calm kinda just doing there thing. they matched them up with your size so it was easy to get on and off. they could have used a bath. and there was alot of communication btwn us by cell and email. Now the downside, if you want to ride butt to butt in a line thats what it is and you dont go in a circle you go to point A then turn around and come back to see the same thing that you just saw. and as for the pictures they talk about it is the guide taking pictures with his cell phone saying that he will send them to you. I did leave a tip of $20.00 which says on their post that the souvenir photos will be waived when a guest leaves an equal or greaty gratuity, maybe $20.00 wasnt enough they dont say. i have reached out to them by email and the cell number they provided at the begining about when would they send the (cell phone) pictures. and not any word or email or call back or text did i get. so if you want a souvenir photo take it your self. I was disappointed cuz i was really wanting to have a photo with myself and the horse i was riding. no photo memory. i would love to upload a photo but have none to share
Chaotic experience! Booked a day and time 48 hours in advance. Then for the next 36 hours were multiple emails and text messages of different times than the original. Had to respond multiple times to get the time straightened out. Then the night before they asked to have it an hour earlier! Good horses and guide. Good outcome but a rough process.
No bathrooms . No water . No barn . You meet at a parking lot with no name in the desert . You ONLY get geographical coordinates . Make sure you have a RIDE HOME for after ! Paid almost $300 for two people for a one hour ride . ONLY rode for a HALF an hour . Slow slow walk in a line 1/2 mile out and a half a mile back on the same path : absolutely NOT worth the money at all . Also: they are very very disorganized. Told us we needed to come at 12 instead of the 10am ride that we paid for in advance. Then when I told them I couldn’t do 12 , and offered to come on Monday instead , they threatened to charge me a change of plans fee!!
The worst horse experience ever had on a horseback horse was old lazy didn’t wanna move thumbs down I wanna my many back
We really enjoyed the horseback riding! We did it during sunset, which was a beautiful time to go. The horses were sweet and well-trained, and the guide was also friendly. A really nice experience while staying in Vegas. :)
They give you locations after location and no one is there Then they come up with it’s go hot to ride can you change later It’s always hot in here Asking for personal information via text Would not recommend to anyone
I booked a 12pm horseback riding tour for 7/11 and was really excited, since I will have back surgery soon and might can't ride in the near future. I received a text message from the company asking can I come at 3pm instead of 12pm, because they need more than 1 rider to do the tour. I let them know I was already on my way in an uber. They asked if i can wait until 12:30pm because of issues with the guide. Even though I was inconvenienced I waited and no one showed up. I really wanted to do this tour!!! This was a big disappointment to my weekend that was going great! When texting them, they continued to lie and even said please return we are here. All lies!!! They refused to issue a refund. Please remove them from your excursion list.
Silver Star / State Horseback riding tour. UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL. I booked through trip advisor. In my booking confirmation it clearly says do not communicate with anyone via text if they request your credit card with a payment link. According to the matching phone number via text this is what happened! Silver Star or State Horseback riding kept asking for my credit card via a payment link. They asked for my personal information multiple times and seemed scammy. Stating it was for $1 invoice then it was for other things. I was not comfortable with any of this since the booking had a warning not to communicate if you are asked for your credit card with a payment link. I tried calling the number, my husband tried to communicate with them also and it came up on caller ID as some sort of care center. The website did not seem like a valid site. This company seems unethical. No way to communicate via phone, they have a no cancellation policy so will get your money through trip advisor and they refuse refunds. Look at previous reviews!!!! It looks like they have done this to multiple people. When I text messaged this company they said they would report me to viator and give viator information of my compliant and it seemed like a threat. After I posted a review, I was told by Silver Star if I didn't change my review there would be further action from this company against me for calling them a scam. This entire situation and service from this company was unethical. I gave plenty of notice to cancel and they get to keep my money without providing a service. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, STRANGE TEXT MESSAGES WITH A PAYMENT LINK AND THREATS. 0 stars.
Everything went exceptionally well. The ride was relaxing and the views were amazing. The guides were fun and made it enjoyable. The horses where the stars and they made it so much fun. The only issue was the ride to the site due to uber not showing up but that was quickly solved. I recommend highly, especially if you want to get out of the city.
David was awesome! We had a great time. The horses were so sweet and it was a beautiful ride.
The horses, trail and trail. Boss were excellent! We didn’t get the meetup location until the morning of the ride, but the experience was great! Second time with this stable company. Would do again.
Horses were well trained and very gentle. They guided us without flinching across rocky paths and down steep trails. Staff was patient, knowledgeable and courteous. Put all of us nervous novices at peace.
We had such a great time on this excursion! Our guide Charlie (apologies if I misremembered his name!) was very informative and a great host. Our horses were also beautiful. Views were amazing.
We had part of our bachelorette weekend riding horses and we had so much fun riding the horses- they were so cute! The tour guide was super nice as well!
Good communication. Prompt. Informative. Guide out to ranch great showing poo ts of interest along the way. Great camp cook!
Booking through Viator was rough. The pick up from hotel was scheduled to be the same time the ride was supposed to start. Not very good experience on the booking part, but the ride was good.
Our host was nice and knowledgeable. She took some pictures of us but never sent it to us from her phone. The ride was in a small oval. When I say small, it was straight line, turn around and then the return line was 8 feet away coming back from the initial trail. Same view, flat terrain. It would be nice if they would have put that in their description on the website of what to expect on the ride. I was very disappointed. Other positive, the horses were tame and appeared to be well taken care of.
I took the personal transportation and it was great! The horses are gentle and well suited to the experience. I would do it again and there are different locations to choose from depending on the time of year. I definitely recommend it.
This was a real fun experience. Although we could not find the place around first. Our Uber driver waited until we actually found the place. He also waited the whole time of the experience, which was really nice. I would've gave 5 stars, but they told us not to use our phones, because they would take pictures and send them to us. They took pictures but its not been two weeks since and we have nt received our pictures. Good thing we did grab a few pictures if our own. The guide was welll knowledgeable, however, she could've use a microphone. If you were in the back you could barely hear her.
Charlie was a great guide. He made us all comfortable and shared interesting information about the horses and the landscape. I gave the experience 4 stars, not 5, for two reasons. One is that he said he would email us the pictures he took, but he didn't. The other reason is that I was bombarded by confusing communications by email, text and WhatsApp. I would recommend streamlining the communication process.
We enjoyed the ride. It was a good experience for our first time riders. The older kids wanted to trot but enjoyed the scenery and the ride. Our guide was Awesome.
Everything was great and well communicated. Horses were matched well to riders and clearly well taken care of. Our guide was informative and took good care of the group. Great time!
We had an amazing time with our guide, horses and driver Rachel. Thank you.
Didn’t end up going as I was asked for credit card details last minute in a link from a Pakistan WhatsApp number. Was concerned about security of data. I was advised by the operator that this was normal and no one else had an issue. There were communications prior to the day that could have advised that a further security deposit was required in case of damage, but since it was an hour and a half before scheduled pickup, it didn’t feel right. No cancellation fee.
The only positive aspect of this experience was that the horses appeared to be well cared for, which was reassuring to see. Unfortunately, beyond that, there is little else I can say positively. The tour guide was constantly on her phone and seemed preoccupied with a work-related issue, which created a tense atmosphere and took away from the overall experience. The ride itself was quite short and there wasn’t much to see along the way, making it feel underwhelming and not worth the cost. I would not recommend this tour.
Charlie, our guide was so nice! My horse Honey was so sweet. It was a nice change of pace from the Vegas strip. It was extremely relaxing and the view was beautiful! Thank you!!
Excellent. The ride was relaxing and offered nice views. Guide Kim was great. The horses were very good and my horse Oreo was easy. Meeting point was close to las vegas strip (25) minutes.
Such a fun and peaceful family experience! The horses were amazing and so was our guide Charlie, who had cool facts about the beautiful scenery! Thank you for a great experience!
These people really run this business with their heart and soul. The ride was about 40 min from where I stayed. If you book with a party pickup is possible to be arranged I believe. It costed me about $40-50 to get there from where I was staying on the strip and their driver even offered to take me back to my hotel if I couldn’t get a Lyft. Once I arrived, I could see all the beautiful horses and landscape. I was greeted with my breakfast which consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, a hash-brown, and a bottle of orange juice. After everybody arrived, everybody was matched with their proper horses according to their height and weight and we took off on a slow yet steady ride through the mountains of Nevada. Their horses are also truly some of the calmest I’ve seen by the way and my horse was huge lol. However, the ride was beautiful and the operator even offered me a bottle of water afterwards. This was something I did on a whim but I’d definitely recommend this as something to do with your family or your significant other if you get a chance to while you are in Vegas.
It was amazing and we love it a lot, it was an experience that will stay with us forever and it revived a lot of childhood memories
What a great tour! From the beginning, they were very communicative with pick ups, drop offs, and other things prior to the start of the tour. It was our first time riding horses and the guide made sure we were capable of riding safely. I already want to ride again !! 100% recommend for beginners
The trail was so beautiful, and the horses were very well trained. My friend who’s never ridden horses before had a really fun time. Our tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable! The only issue I had was the transportation. The booking made it seem like transportation was included and that I would be picked up on the strip which was not the case. I had to book transportation through another website and they would only pick me up about 30 mins away from the strip. I paid $120 for a “shuttle” to get us which turned out to just be an uber that they booked for me. Had I known this I could’ve booked the Uber myself and saved a lot of money. So I had to uber to the pick up location, uber to the farm, and uber back to the pickup location then back to my hotel. I paid about $200 just for transportation on top of already spending $200 to book the rides. Communicating with the tour about transportation was also really confusing and frustrating. Like I said the ride was so much fun I just wish the transportation wasn’t as confusing, misleading and expensive. If you’re in town I would recommend going just get your own transportation!
Grace was very friendly and knows a lot about horses that she shared during our ride. The horses were very well behaved and we all had a great time.
It was a great experience definitely will do it again with friends, the only thing I wished is that the horses would go a little faster.
My boyfriend and I never experienced riding horses as we wanted to try, our experience on horseback riding was easy and entertaining!
Tour guide was good, but I have to honest , the description said a ride in the mountains and forest and it was not that at all.. we basically walked down a gravel road back and forth… very underwhelming for the money.. I have done other horseback riding tours in Vegas where you actually do walk into the mountains and not just on a gravel road…..
My wife and I had a great time. They were in touch with us the entire time, which is perfect. They sent us the driver information that was picking us up, and we would definitely do this again. Thank you, to Grace, our tour guide
The ride was easy to set up, and they were easy to communicate with through text message. They insured we had the right directions to find the meet up spot. The ride was enjoyable very easy-going and the landscape was beautiful. It was a very easy ride anyone could do it
Guide never showed, never answered a text, chat, or phone call. It cost me 135, and 30 in uber, but most importantly my time. My day event for my trip is gone. Really kinda sucks, now I get nothing.
The woman tour guide took photos while texting the entire ride even when I asked her politely not to take photos because we would take our own she said she “HAD” to for proof of ride to send to there office and she would send to us after well it’s been a week we’ve been trying to contact them and just today they tell us it’s going to be 20$ to get the photos . Besides that the ride was unpleasant because the horse clearly didn’t want me to ride him he made that known which I did tell the operator I was just uncomfortable the whole ride which is why I didn’t want photos of myself I was terrified and there are tons of other horse tours to choose from I’d stay away from this one .
This was exactly as expected, a quiet ride across some desert/rocky terrain, on safe and well-trained horses. The horses are trailered to a public access point and you meet the guide there. I recommend using the offered transportation service to avoid getting lost with an Uber (it’s literally a gravel parking area off the road). Guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Reminder to anyone who has never ridden before; when you go on a trail ride as a tourist you will not be galloping anywhere. Although people who ride all the time make it look easy, it’s just not safe practice. So go out and enjoy the easy pace of a well-mannered trail horse with this group!
Before the ride even happened, Silver State was VERY unorganized. I had to remind them the date and time multiple times through text. They never got the time right. Once the day came, it was raining ALL DAY in Las Vegas on Thursday, February 13th 2025. If you don't believe me look it up the weather report. I wanted to speak at someone about the weather to reassure me that we could rescheduled or continue the ride at an earlier time which NEVER happened. They blocked my calls and told trip advisor a different story. They refused to speak on the phone to reschedule. They still will not refund me $430, neither will trip advisor, which is honestly disheartening because I have proof of the conversation and the claim the weather wasn't bad to ride in, which I call BS. I want a full refund from trip advisor and Silver State. Don't trust them, they will just take your money and not actually speak to you on the phone, only through texts. Seems like a HUGE scam since no one answers the phone. It rained terribly all day in Vegas and the weather was visibly bad. I would have rescheduled if they would have talked to me on the phone. DO NOT BOOK!!!
We went for the activity, but there was no one, no horse. The person wanted us to go on foot further into the desert, it was very horror movie. We waited in our Lyft until the departure time to try to join the person for the activity and still nothing. We left the place. Our Lyft told us that it would be unsafe to leave us there that it seemed a strange way to do things. The person texted us very angry and did not want to reimburse us. 250% for the activity and $ 120 for transportation, ultimately we wasted time and money.
Great experience with my little 6 year olds. They consistently say it was their favorite part of our trip to Las Vegas! Directions were clear, the team communicated well, everything was safe and the ride was great.
I recently went horseback riding in the desert, and it was an unforgettable experience. The views were breathtaking, the horses were calm, and well-trained, making the ride enjoyable even for beginners like me. The guide was very friendly and informative. Overall, it was a peaceful , thrilling adventure. The connection with nature, the gentle pace of the ride, and the unique desert landscape made it a memory to cherish.
This was a very nice horseback ride. The horses were gentle even for small kids to ride. The instructor was great too, just lacked some communication at times.
I cant say enough good things about this excusrsion. This is my second time going with Silver Lake Horseback riding tour. First was with family in 2021 and Just now today. The driver that transported me from my hotel to the riding excursion ( Kym) was on point and just a sweet young lady. She is also a horse trainer and guide and was pleasant and knowlegable. So if you are a riding novice she will put you at ease! Charlie our riding guide was just excellent, relaxed and great with the horses and us riders. 100% worth the money and worth a tip. If you opt for the ride plus lunch/ dinner they DONT DISAPPOINT! AWESOME!
We enjoyed the peaceful ride and the great horses that we rode own. Guide Grace was very knowledgeable.
