I loved this tour! It was very informative, our guide was well prepared (even with a folder of old pictures!) and gave us a great overview of the history of Las Vegas. I think if you are curious about history at all and not only in gambling in shiny hotels on the Strip, then this is your tour! The stories we heard were interesting and funny and I got a few good tips and coupons as well.

See Las Vegas like you’ve never seen before or didn't know existed. Walk from past to present as stories, fun facts, and a photographic 'walk through time' peel back the layers of neon and expose the rich history underneath. Learn how this magical city went from humble outpost, to the eye-popping ‘Glitter Gulch’, one of the most pictured and storied thoroughfares in the world, to a sparkling gem of urban renewal and revitalization.
Your tour begins at this historic location for good reason. Here you will begin to learn about the very beginnings of Las Vegas as they literally began beneath the foundation. You will also learn how this 'vintage' 1970's casino has not only survived but is thriving into one of our proudly restored properties with many exciting refurbishments, renovations, and classic Las Vegas flair!
Circa Resort & Casino. From 500 gold bars in a top floor lounge to 6 pools, you will see and learn about Downtown Las Vegas' fabulous new hotel/casino and how two brothers from Detroit are changing the face of Fremont Street!
Your tour will walk through the entire 4-block long Fremont Street Experience as you hear all the fascinating stories and learning about the properties along the way. You will also learn how, and why the world's largest video screen canopy above came to be, has been refurbished 3 times and is still a major draw for people to see for themselves. Seeing is one thing, but you will become immersed.
You will learn about the deep history of this landmark address of 1 Fremont St., how it has miraculously survived the times through many transitions and is today a top 'must see' for many that visit downtown Las Vegas.
You'll visit the museum’s prominent location and listen as your guide shares insights into its creation, key attractions, and growing popularity. Discover how this landmark became a must-see destination in Downtown Las Vegas.
A very popular hotel/casino and still a major feature of downtown Las Vegas. Here you will not only learn it's connection to Steve Wynn of "Las Vegas Strip" fame, but also of it's internationally top-rated features but also how it's original bones dating back to 1946 mobsters still exist. You will not just learn about it, you will walk through it!
During your tour your will learn about the colorful Benny Binion and how he came to Las Vegas and opened up the first 'carpet joint' in downtown Las Vegas which is today a popular stop for locals and visitors alike for it's vintage steakhouse, live entertainment, new rotating bar above Fremont Street and full-restored, vintage boutique hotel. Here you will also see for yourself that 1956 Las Vegas does still exist!
The launchpad for Wayne Newton and once home of 'Lefty' Rosenthal. Discover all things fabulous about this historic property including their $50 Million renovation/expansion & infamous dining specials.
See the Four Queens' classic 1966 façade and vintage neon signage while learning about its fabulous décor and some of our favorite places to eat.
Watch as thrill-seekers soar superhero-style down Fremont Street, launching from the top of an impressive 11-story slot machine. Experience the excitement and vibrant atmosphere as riders zip above the crowds and neon lights in Downtown Las Vegas.
Visit Neonopolis, a colorful entertainment complex at the east end of Fremont Street, and discover its quirky attractions, photo ops and larger-than-life Vegas character.
See the famous Toy Shack, home of Pawn Stars expert toy appraiser Johnny Jimenez. Here you will learn about Johnny's 'pride and joy' vintage toy and possibly even see Johnny for a quick hello and photo op.
Learn about the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas and hear how 1 man's vision turned a once forgotten neighborhood into the jewel of urban renewal and revival and helped downtown Las Vegas return to a top attraction in the United States.
As you tour through the newly revitalized Fremont East to learn how one man’s vision and commitment to community has sparked perhaps the greatest downtown revitalization project in the United States, the tour wraps up inside the innovative Downtown Container Park, a shopping, dining, entertainment attraction partially made out of recycled shipping containers. A perfect way to conclude the story 'from humble outpost' to 'gem of urban renewal' and where you'll be left with all the knowledge to go explore downtown Las Vegas like a 'Vegas Insider'!
Classic 40's Vegas at it's finest. The oldest hotel - casino in Las Vegas, and boy it's got stories. You will hear about the early days and ties to famous mobsters but also how it has not only remained a classic, locals casino but how it has refurbished, remodeled and expanded with the times, all while keeping every ounce of it's Las Vegas charm.

An excellent experience. Guide was passionate informative and friendly. Had a great depth of knowledge and was verry personable. Learnt a lot and laughed a lot. Would highly recommend.
This was great way to learn Vegas history. It was nice that we did it at the start of our time in Vegas. The information shared helped us decide where and what we wanted to visit. The tips and coupons were a bonus.
.Clear meeting instructions, lots of information and very enjoyable.
What a great experience! Our excellent and friendly guide, Kelly, took us on a wonderful tour of Downtown Las Vegas and gave us a glimpse into its fascinating history. It was interesting to look beyond the façade of modern downtown to see what made Vegas what it is today. Highly recommended for visitors who want to know a bit more about the town with a guide who is knowledgeable, entertaining and catered for everybody in the group.
Very knowledgeable guide. Learned lots of interesting information . Would highly recommend this tour if you enjoy history.
Kelly was a fantastic tour guide and I thought I already knew quite a bit about Fremont St. I learned so much, and found new things to try. I need to get back to even put a dent in the list. This is definitely one you'll want to do early on in your visit.
This tour was the best value for our money. We met Kelly, out tour guide, at the Plaza. The meeting place was very easy to hook up with the group. The guide was very informative and super conscious of our comfort. We learned so much about the history of Vegas, it was amazing. I would highly recommend this your to any adults wanting to get a feel for the old Vegas.
Tour lead Kelly was great - informative, responsive to guests (i.e. made culturally relevant references for both other states and countries of guests), and thoughtful. It was 115-degree heat on the day and he made sure we got as much shade as possible without losing any detail or experience. Not only did he amply demonstrate incredible local and historical knowledge, but he made it engaging and relevant, communiciating genuine passion for the city and downtown in particular. I'd recommend it to any visitor, returning or newbie. Great.
My friend and I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was passionate, knowledgeable, and very informative. We appreciated the headsets. While his presentation style was a little dry at times, I have a great deal of respect for someone who takes pride in their work, shares their knowledge, and delivers exactly what was promised. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly appreciated the effort and dedication he put into sharing his passion and love for Las Vegas. I highly recommend this tour — and I say that as someone who travels frequently and has experienced many tours!
What a wonderful surprise! We weren't quite sure how this tour would be, but are SO glad we scheduled it! It was an exceptional tour - and Kelly was a fantastic guide! He is very knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and neat stories about this part of Vegas. Absolutely loved that Kelly provided head phones too! Nothing more frustrating than a tour guide talking to the 1 or two people that are walking along side him - while no one else can hear. The headphones were a huge plus. Great job Kelly and thank you for such a fun experience! Definitely one of our highlights on our trip!
Absolutely worth it! This 2-hour guided walking tour of Downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street exceeded our expectations. Our local guide brought the 7-block “walk through time” to life — from its humble beginnings to Glitter Gulch and the impressive urban renewal story — with engaging stories and insider context. The wireless headsets made it easy to hear every detail, and the guide’s tips, restaurant recommendations, and coupons were incredibly helpful afterward. Fun for solo travelers, couples, or families, and a perfect way to discover why Downtown is a must-see Vegas destination. Highly recommended!
Kelly is the best walking tour guide he is exceptional and has explained everything so clearly and understanding for everyone in the tour so 100% recommended
Really interesting tour and great guide with fascinating stories. Highly recommended if you want to see the original side of Vegas.
Kelley did a great job explaining the importance and historical aspects of LasVegas in its beginning. His command of the knowledge was amazing. Did a great job Highlighting the great attributes and revitalization of LV Downtown. Thanks recommending highly.
Kelly was fantastic! Knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The walking tour starts at the plaza and ends at the container park. It was really hot in June but we still had a great time. I’d bring lots of water! The tour was a great way to learn about the history of Las Vegas and get insider tips. My boyfriend and I ended up staying at the golden gate the next day and checked out circas rooftop bar which Kelly recommended. I like the audio headset so you can hear what the guide is saying easily and the binder full of visual aids of what Vegas looked like before. We felt like we learned a lot
Kelly was awesome full of great knowledge and appreciation of downtown Las Vegas! Loved it!!!
This is the second time we have had the joy of the tour. I can’t recommend this enough please take this history tour of the original Vegas it will open your eyes to how Vegas was created. Kelly knows everything you need to know. Took my sister and brother in law on the tour and they are going to do it again on their next trip.
Another tour that wasn’t worth $70 I mean if you’ve been in Vegas all you gotta do is take a lift and say go downtown and you’re in Fremont and you probably pay like $12 for the lift you can tour free on your own
Wife and I did the tour and it was fantastic! It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the strip. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and informative. The ear pieces really helped us hear over the sounds of Fremont. The guide had pictures, showed us some unique view points and gave lots of great food and store recommendations. We couldn't recommend the tour enough if you enjoy learning history of the area. If we come back we will stay in Downtown for sure. Lots to do and great pricing.
This was so well done! We learned so much from our guide Kelly. He knew history about how LV got started ( with old pictures) and fun facts about the casinos and their owners, even the old signs etc. He was a wealth of information. He even included a tips sheet on restaurants! Go …you won’t be disappointed !
Kelly was such a wonderful tour guide! He was so personable & provided such excellent expertise. Thank you very much Kelly! Cheers to you!
I had been on Fremont Street several times, but wasn’t fully aware of a lot of the history or that much really. Kelly was an outstanding tour guide. The headphones were great that way we could hear him as we walked & because it was loud and a few spots along the tour. He was full of Fremont history & had a binder with old photos to show what it looked like in the past to compare to now. He was very personable & made the tour very enjoyable. The insights to some downtown hotels / casinos brought them into the running to stay in the future, a different Vegas trip but it’ll still be enjoyable & tasty! 😋 Highly recommend taking this tour. :)
Wow! This guy is a wealth of knowledge and will make it an actual Fremont Street EXPERIENCE! We learned so much and got some really cool tips for later. I’m so glad we did this upon arrival to Vegas so that now we can come back several more times!
I highly recommend this tour! Kelly shared so much information in an entertaining way and it’s clear how much he loves his city. The microphone receivers made it easy to hear him, and he was sensitive to keeping the group together and in the shade when possible. So exciting to see the revitalization of downtown and all the area has to offer!
Our tour guide was excellent and full of information of the old original Las Vegas city. He gave a really good historical timeline of the evolution and why most of the casinos moved outside of Las Vegas to the strip. Very highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.
Very informative and well-paced. Learned a lot! TY Kelly
Kelly was a wealth of information and tips about the area by Freemont Street. I would highly recommend taking this tour, you will not regret it.
Fabulous!!!! Our guide, Kelly, was super knowledgeable and fun! Time and money well spent! 10/10!!!
So many historical facts. Unbelievable sights behind the facades. Brilluant tour.knowledgeable guide called kelly.
Entertaining and educational walking tour. Guide was passionate about Vegas history, shared alot of facts that we didn't know. Also shared many tips on bars and restaurants. We'll worth the time and money.
Our guide was fantastic. He kept us engaged for 2 hours with interesting and informative tales of old Las Vegas. Don’t just stay on the strip if you visit…you have to experience Fremont street!
Downtown LV has a lot of secrets, many hidden in plain sight! This was a great way to learn a little about the history of Vegas and see downtown in a new way.
Tour was well worth it. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Kelly was very nice and had lots of good information.
Kelly is an amazing tour guide. He loves his history . Researched alot about old vegas. Great to see his enthusiasm.
What a great experience, Kelly did such a great job , learned so much in a couple of hours , if you get a chance when you are in Las Vegas, definitely check out this great walking Tour
A great value for money excursion. Kelly gave us lots of history and information about old Vegas. Plus great tips on where to eat. A really worthwhile tour.
It was awesome!! Our tour guide was the best and so knowledgeable of the area. People thought we were crazy for getting a tour guide but he was so informative we learned more than we ever would have expected
Learn how Vegas started and lots of fun and historical facts 😊 So much ground covered in the two hours 😊
Our guide Kelly was outstanding! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Las Vegas, and knew interesting details and stories that kept everyone engaged and entertained. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the strip in Vegas. Take the time to visit the Old Vegas, it is so cool!!!!
We stumbled upon this tour on-line and booked it last minute. So glad we did…it was fabulous! Kelly was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. It was interesting to hear the history of downtown Vegas, and Kelly’s passion for keeping it alive was very apparent! Highly recommend!
What a fantastic tour! The history of the area is presented in a fun and informative way, with interesting details and side notes about many of the buildings and historical experiences. Our guide Kelly, is a wealth of knowledge and is quite entertaining and easy going. This tour is also a great representation of how much Fremont has changed...for the better and interestingly enough you see how this really is a great and cheaper alternative to staying on the strip. At 2 hours, it is just right in length though really, the time flies by ...when you're having fun. I would highly recommend this tour, even more so if you're thinking about staying downtown instead of the strip...this tour will seal the deal to stay downtown.
This is a great tour. We have been to Las Vegas many times and even stayed on Fremont Street before. Almost all of the information on the tour was new and interesting to us. It was very cool to see all the historical remnants of old Las Vegas. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, well spoken and funny. We had never been to the new downtown revitalization area and it it worth the visit. We will certainly visit Fremont street on our next trip to Las Vegas. I highly recommend this tour to any travelers to Los Vegas even if you have been many times, there’s something new to learn!
Fremont Street was crazy with all them lights and people, and the guide took us to some cool places. We seen some old casinos and learned a bit about the history. It was fun and a good way to check out downtown Vegas, would do it again for sure
A fantastic tour! Kelly was an excellent tour guide who provided us with tons of interesting and useful information. Take this tour at the beginning of your visit to Vegas. You’ll discover that there is so much more than just “The Strip”!
Took this tour at the recommendation of a friend and I'm glad I did! So interesting to learn about the historic section of Las Vegas - quite a contrast from The Strip. Kelly was an excellent guide - knowledgable and a great story teller. I also appreciated his humor. Grateful for his dining and additional Vegas sightseeing tips as well.
This is a can't miss from history and a meaning of vegas standpoint. Our tour guide was the right mix of genuine and funny.
Kelly was personable and very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of the back story of early Las Vegas. I recommend to anyone looking for something else to do in Vegas besides gambling.
This tour is easily accessible, and our guide ,Kelly was wonderful. I rode a four wheel scooter. He was cognizant of my handicap, snd made it easy for me to be a part of the group, without drawing attention to me. He showed us pictures of Fremont decades prior, and he had extensive historical knowledge filled with many anecdotes. He is a good storyteller, and we enjoyed hearing about just how different Fremont Street and downtown were formerly, which made it even more fun as we walked on Fremont and downtown streets— now revitalized, We also were given a “tip sheet.” One of the restaurants Kelly recommended we went to that evening. Don’t let the appearance “ fool you.” We had good drinks and some wonderful food at Carson Kitchen. We sat in the bar, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The service was excellent, and the prices were much lower than restaurants on the strip. The entire day and evening were a delight. Viator tours always exceed our expectations; you experience and learn information you wouldn’t find on your own. We have already booked our next tour.
If you are visiting Fremont St you must book this tour. Our guide's incredible knowledge & genuine passion for keeping the history of old Vegas alive made this tour. Learnt so much & saw so many hidden features you wouldn't have if just walking around ourselves.
