Hoover Dam Raft Float Half-day Tour From Las Vegas

The bus driver/ tour driver was the best. He made the trip the most enjoyable

1. Bus service: On Time, fast, driver entertained us along the way. 2. Meeting Point: Boat operators were ready at the Hoover Dam Lodge. We quickly loaded in the vans, and we were off. 3. Boat: Clean and ready. Cool wet neck towels were welcomed, as was the bag of water, chips, cookie and apple. Boat operator trolled slowing, moving back and forth on the Colorado River to highlight Dam construction points and natural rock formations. 4. Recommend: Bring water shoes or Crocks or sandals because you have a chance to wade into the river and even take a dip.

The river was beautiful and the tour, including Sarah the ‘raft captain’ and Victor the raft bus driver, were excellent… but the highlight was definitely Angela the tour bus driver. She has such great energy and humour she made the whole experience fun and memorable. A gem in the desert. Thanks Angela.

The trip was amazing. Angela is the best, very informative and super friendly. She has a great sense of humor. I am so glad I booked this tour. I plan to book it again in the future.

The tour driver Paul was both informative and welcoming. Thanks you too for the free wifi. The trip out to Dam & Boulder City was comfortable with a nice breeze following us but the ride back was hell with no air-conditioning as it was broken. Thanks again Paul. Debs

Marty was extremely good and enjoy the ride and acknowledge was extremely good Sarah was very bright extremely nice with what she new and I had a blast amazing time on the water we would book it again. Oh wow between the three the trip was amazing. Good book and advise everyone.

5/5 – A Fun and Memorable Experience! This Hoover Dam Raft Float Half-Day Tour was a fantastic experience for me and my son! From the moment we were picked up, everything ran smoothly. Our bus driver Angela was amazing — super friendly, professional, and kept the ride fun with her energy and great attitude. The raft tour itself was beautiful and peaceful. Seeing the Hoover Dam and Black Canyon from the water was unforgettable, and the food and drinks provided were a nice bonus. Definitely a fun and unique way to spend the day with family. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful tour and funny commentary tour guide. Definitely enjoyed the short tour from Las Vegas. Saw new places like lake Mead and Boulder City which I missed last 2 times I drove by car.

Louis and Victor the bus drivers did a great job with explaining and touring. Captain Russ is a very knowledgeable, friendly and professional tour guid on the raft!!! Russ did a specticular job showing the dam!!!! He is one of the best tour guides. My family and I had lots of fun and learned a lot!!! I highly recommend this tour!!!! I hope you get to know Russ, , Louis and Victor. They are fabulous. Thank you

The driver was very informative and gave us history before we got there. This made tour interesting. He gave us so much more than we paid for.

We had Sarah as our guide and she made the trip extra special Great weather snd great views. Highly recommend as a break from the casinos.

This is the second tour with National Park Express, a great company with friendly, knowledgeable people, from the bus drivers, to the on site your guides, they provide with lots of historical information, they are funny and Friendly. Definitely this the the best tour company if interested on off site excursions, just went to a raft tour of the Hoover Dam on the Colorado river, highly recommend it, they also provide bottle water, snacks, fruits.

The Van Ride down to the river was awesome. Esteban was a great driver. The rafting trip down the Colorado River was wonderful. Boulder Bob piloted the boat like he was born for the job. Very informative and entertaining. All that being said the bus ride from the hotel and back was borderline horrible. We were picked up mostly on time. We got there mostly on time. That's where things went south. We were picked up over 45 minutes late and made what we thought was an unscheduled stop in Boulder City. We were anxious to get back to Las Vegas but we didn't get back until 2 hours after we headed anticipated. It really messed up our whole day. The bus driver was chatty on the way there and annoying on the way back.

We loved being driven down to a behind the scenes tour and seeing the dam from a different perspective. The boat is easy to get in it is not an inflatable boat. A nice float down the river to learn about the hot springs and big horn sheep. Another treat was a nice straw string bag enclosed with fruit, chips, cookies and a water bottle during the tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny!

Not the trip I thought I had booked but a good experience and photo opportunity of the dam from ground level. Views amazing and staff very knowledge able.

An absolutely fabulous tour, can't say enough about it, a must do experience. I think the raft pilots name was Mike, sorry if I have that wrong 😅 He was so full of knowledge, experience, his customer service is second to none. A really lovely float down the Black Canyon, leaving just below the Hoover Dam, which was absolutely stunning from that angle, I highly recommend this to everyone. Plus you get a nice lunch in a keepsake cooler bag, a really nice touch 👌

The description is inaccurate. You do not tour the Dam. A second tour company takes you to bottom of the dam in a van that does not have a working air conditioner- one of the vans pump broke on way back- and you take a short raft tour of Black Canyon. No lunch is provided just snacks. It took five hours mostly on a bus and then a casino in the middle of nowhere and then the tour company forces you to go to Boulder City for an hour - again not on the tour description. Missed dinner reservations as a result. The driver James was extremely angry from the moment he picked us up and yelled at several clients. He should not be allowed to deal with customers. Overall avoid this tour! The only bright spot was Captain Crash who was very informative about the building of the dam.

It was all very fun but I would have to say that the most memorable thing was seeing the whole herd of sheep also it was very interesting learning the history about the dam and construction of the dam

3 couples booked the Hoover Dam & Black Canyon raft tour through Viator on March 18/19. Go123 provided the tour. We received confirmation and booking numbers. Credit cards were debited. March 19/19 we received an email from Viator saying the tour was cancelled. I phoned Go123 and was told the raft portion was through a different company and our tour date was full, so unavailable. They said they only contact the raft company after payment and confirmation. Never on Viator site did it say tour involved 2 companies and confirmation meant nothing unless raft portion was available. Viator was just as useless. They did not know 2 companies were involved in the tour, did not know why it was cancelled and could not even find out if any alternate dates were available. We wasted a lot of time with Go123 and Viator. We are back at square one. All we got were useless apologies from 2 useless companies. At least we will get a refund in 3-5 days.

It was a very pleasant and very safe tour. Good fellow travelers. I just wish there was also in Spanish
