The highlight is kayaking in a beautiful canyon. Scenery is fantastic, the “cave” is totally underwhelming but the water and canyon are awesome. We did self tour but the dude who set us up was great. Overall. It’s a great 3 hours to spend outside of Vegas.
I booked a self guided kayak rental for two and had an amazing time. We went as a couple but I think I’ll be going back soon with friends too! I had the national park pass so we didn’t have to pay to enter the park luckily. Once we got to the dock we were given plenty of time and the five hour limit was more than enough to enjoy everything. The lake itself was BEAUTIFUL! Fun and inviting atmosphere with many others kayaking around so it felt less intimidating for a first-timer. I would definitely recommend ‘Las Vegas Paddleboard’ for your kayaking experience. We were provided with everything we needed to get on the water and Nicole was super helpful/informative before sending us out. Just make sure to arrive ahead of time at the designated meetup spot. There’s no signal in most of the area so the photos and location details sent to us beforehand were very helpful. With everything being as seamless as it was, I don’t think I’d book a rental with any other company now!
All equipment provided was in working order and clear instruction was provided. The kayak up to the cave was easy and straightforward and near impossible to miss. The time they allot you is more than ample to not only do the round trip,but to explore additional areas and take your time.

We participated in this excursion in July and had a wonderful time. The staff was super friendly and the kayaking was awesome. Beautiful experience. We ended up going on a morning that had an incredible mist over the river. We had a great time! It was really nice to escape Vegas to do something very UnVegas like. It’s also close to Hoover Dam, which we stopped to explore on the way back. Would highly recommend.

Great time but the cave is literally just a whole in the mountain. Kayaking was fun and even thought it was 110 degrees felt cooler on the water and bring water.
Me and my friend went on this tour and had a blast! We booked the 9am and finished at 2pm, and the weather was perfect and the water was pretty cold but definitely refreshing. The cave was nice but the river is beautiful, we’d 100% book this tour again!

Enjoyable trip kayaking. All kayaks and equipment provided. I would recommend this to vendor. Note that you do need upper arm strength and bring plenty of sunscreen!

We were giving great advice on which stops to make on the river and in which order, made our experience all the more enjoyable, avoiding the crowds although we went on a day during the early heat wave (high of 104) so the crowd was minimal. Definitely try to be in the water before 10. We didn't wait at all to go into the Emerald Cave. The cave itself is actually very underwhelming and somehow smelled like urine when we went. The Echo Cave across the river was more fun. We found much brighter green water before the cave along the rock face. The kayaks were in great condition, slightly wider than other companies' so it felt really stable. Dry bags were offered with no additional cost but we didn't have the need for them. We spent 4.5 hours total, spending lots of time relaxing while letting the kayaks drift on the river, hanging out at different beaches. I would opt for a guided tour if it's your first time on this part of the Colorado River, but renting and going at our own leisure was exactly what we were looking for.
My family and I had such a great time on our excursion. We booked 4 kayaks and had 5 hours to spend however we wanted exploring the Colorado River up to the Emerald Cave. The friendly staff went over all the trip markers so we wouldn't miss anything. There were several beaches to pull up to to stop for a swim and to cool off. Such a great experience overall with breathtaking scenic views along the way. We would definitely recommend this.

We did a self guided tour and we had a great day! It was easy to find and easy to check in. Life jackets are comfortable and the kayaks are very nice. Plenty of room for a small cooler also. They let us use a dry bag which was a big plus. All around great price, very friendly staff and very knowledgeable. Caves and scenery was beautiful!

I came from Houston…my daughter lives here in Boulder City…She’s a Bat Researcher…we both thoroughly enjoyed the time together on the water…the sites were amazing! Loved seeing the all the Big Horn Sheep…the caves were a lil smaller than anticipated but still beautiful! Will def be back to do it again!!

Las vegas paddle board company is stellar! This was my second time booking with them and renting kayaks for self guided tours. The five hour time allowance is ample for getting to the cove and back and stopping multiple times to sunbathe , and swim in between! They go above and beyond to get you rescheduled @ your convenience , if you are booked on a day that ends up having high wind. This river is absolutely gorgeous colors in perfectly clear all the way to the bottom , especially on the edges! Do not miss this one!
