Emerald Cave Kayak Experience With Optional Las Vegas Shuttle

It was a perfect day and a perfect kayaking trip! When we arrived at the beach, Ryan was already waiting for us with the kayaks ready; and which were in excellent condition too! He shared his extensive knowledge of the area with us, along with many tips on how to properly use and enjoy the kayaks. We also enjoyed a pleasant conversation about our interests and travels while we were admiring the beauty of the place as we paddled, and swim, along the river! I highly recommend kayaking the Colorado River; it's a must; it's full of beauty, and do it with Evolution Expeditions—you won’t regret it, I guarantee it!!!

What a beautiful day and experience. Our day started out well as we were picked up right at our hotel. Then off to Hoover Dam, our guide Ryan was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We then went on to our kayaking experience, the day was beautiful, we can now say we have kayaked in the Colorado River. Again, our tour guide Ryan was so helpful and patient, he made our experience fun and the beauty of the cove and river will be forever etched in my mind.

Don’t hesitate, just do it. Without a doubt, this trip was one of my best life experiences, a big deal. Blazing Paddles could not have been more accommodating, their hospitality was top tier. From initially meeting the team at the office and then being picked up by Don, we knew we were in good hands. Friendly, knowledgable and safety focused, the trip had everything covered. Arriving at Willow Bay, you are given the necessary instructions and then set on your way as a group. Making your way to the cove, the scenery was spectacular. Don, Andrew and Rome made sure the group were safe throughout, they even detailed exceptional knowledge of the natural sights including wildlife and fauna. We saw two bald eagles on the canyon peak which made the trip an exceptionally brilliant experience. As a beginner, we used a tandem kayak, it was so easy to use and comfortable. Arriving at the cove, the water is clear and green, as advertised! Don dropped us all off at our hotels. Thanks to Don, Andrew, Rome and the team. I highly recommend! Iain

WE HAD THE BEST TIME. We also had never kayaked before. Octavious was a wonderful, patient and excellent teacher and guide throughout. He was a Nevada native and was full of great information about the Colorado River, Hoover Dam, birds, (saw bald eagles) flora, and of course the beautiful green water. We had plenty of time to just relax, listen to the quiet, pull up on the beach for a snack and gentle kayaking. He took lots of photos and we were able to download them that night. We just might look into kayaking for beginners on the Chattahoochee River, Georgia, where we live.

Great experience to get out of the Vegas mayhem and chill out in nature. The kayaking isn't too far so good for beginners or the experienced. Choose a two person kayak as they were more stable for the less experienced. Easy to get in and out of. Not tightly enclosed at all. Great Views. Snacks and drinks provided half way. Calvin was a great guide and good laugh.

Our guide Octavio made our first ever attempt at kayaking a soaring success. He’s patient, kind, hard working, knowledgeable, and amazing in every way! We were truly blessed with perfect weather, a great trip, and an even better guide! You won’t regret booking a trip with him as your guide!

We had an amazing 3 hour kayak trip out to the Emerald Cave. Faith was our guide and she was fantastic! She provided interesting facts along the way, spotted wildlife for everyone, and was super friendly. Our timing for the cave glow while in it was not ideal, but the kayak trip was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Faith was a great host. The river was calm and smooth to kayak. Enjoyed seeing Hoover Dam and learned a ton.

Great experience and very fun ride

Wow! Calvin picked us up and gave a fantastic tour all along the way to the kayak beach. Then we were very capable in the hands of Ryan. The guy was the best kayak guide we have had. We saw such beautiful wildlife and emerald green waters. At the end of the journey we were treated to the Emerald Cave! Wow! The colors and effect were so beautiful and special. What a cool place on earth! Great ride and amazing scenery. Very well guided and cared for. The driver on the way home went out of his way too. We saw close up Big Horn sheep! And he dropped us all off at our hotels.

Calvin offered an incredible experience for us! As newcomers to kayaking he showed us patience and reassurance, along with absolutely stunning views and amazing pictures to capture the memories! We are incredibly grateful to him!

This was a great outdoor activity! We weren’t sure how tiring the four-mile trip would be, but glad to say it’s beginner friendly! The rudder on the kayak makes the steering easy. Our guide, Faith, was friendly, knowledgeable and great at pointing out beautiful wildlife along the way. We saw two eagles, sheep, a turtle and fish. Highly recommend this kayaking trip! It was a great way to break up our time in Vegas.

You will get muddy when you first get in the kayak at the shore. You will also get wet. There are water guns in each kayak. Our group enjoyed splashing and squirting each other. It is an easy 2 miles out to Emerald Cove and 2 miles back. Our guide, Calvin, was great. He was a lot of fun and told us much about the history of the area and about the plants and features of the area. Snacks and water are provided. This is a fun activity. I would recommend it for families. My husband and I were some of the oldest in our group and we were able to keep up. The only disappointment I had was that the Emerald Cove did not appear green. Calvin explained that it wasn’t sunny enough when we were out in our tour. It still was very nice!

Had a great time kayaking Emerald Cave with the fellas. Pickup was communicated clearly and went smoothly at the Venetian. Calvin was a very knowledgeable guide and made the experience fun for everyone, from the shuttle down to the time on the water.

Well the loading area was disgusting. it was shin deep of muck that smelled awful, there wasn’t “caves”!!! it was an open water kayak about 2 miles to a cut-out in the rocks, piked in got pictures then we kayaked over to a little beach then back to the muck to unload So, not my cup of tea, as we really were under the impression that we’d be going in and out of “caves” like it says and shows on the website….NOPE!!! Disappointing, and it was boring

Traveled with family from Michigan. Our tour guide Octavio led a group of us down the Colorado River providing historical, current, and wildlife information. Along our journey, we saw many wildlife animals including wild sheep, blue cranes, ducks, and eagles. We had a great time!!

Our tour guide and driver Ray did a phenomenal job with us today!! He knew how to explain things throughly, he was very knowledgeable with the history, very humorous and very great to know as a person! We were so grateful he made our shuttle experience a lot easier by picking us up at a closer location. He made sure we were all on track since my group was getting tired out haha, but it was definitely an awesome experience, beautiful scenery and many opportunities to take pictures, and the overall experience was very organized!

Calvin was great informative and entertaining guide. Gear was well maintained. Would recommend for active people looking to get out of town.

Great experience, beautiful day! Our guide Tehya was superb! We saw bald eagles and desert bighorn sheep at the water’s edge. We enjoyed the hike that pointed out some of the area’s history, dipping in the cold river water and experiencing the emerald cave. Highly recommend this excursion.

Had the most perfect day kayaking! The weather was amazing but our guide Calvin Olsen ensured everything was the best it could be! Calvin our guide was phenomenal. He is wise beyond his age. He was our guide and a driver on our trip back to the resort. I can not say enough great things about this young man. He connected with everyone in our group regardless of age. The tour group was awesome. They called to make sure we were up and ready to meet which was reassuring I was going to the correct pick up spot. They continued to texted until pickup. Traffic was horrible that morning due to F1 construction. It was reassuring that we were notified they would be a few minutes late due to that traffic. I was a solo traveler and never once felt uncomfortable during the trip. It was a safe, fun environment. Thanks so much for a great time. I will see ya next year!

We did not expect this level of attention and enthusiasm as well as knowledge shared by our tour guides of the cities and landmarks. We will be returning next year for sure.

We had a good experience seeing the beauty of Emerald Cave. This is only our 2nd time in a kayak and our guide Calvin was patient with us and was very knowledgeable about teaching us what to do and telling us about the Colorado river. We even got to see some big horned sheep. There are a few things that were a bit disappointing as the water level was low and getting in and out of the kayak was a muddy stinky mess and there was not a good place for you to get cleaned off before the ride home. Also the cave was not really what I was anticipating as we had to wait in a long line for about 45 minutes to get in to see the Cave as there were a lot of other tours also and we had to take turns. Overall it was a lot of fun and I’m glad we went.

Absolutely top day… Octavia was our guide…what a brilliant young man. We really enjoyed his company, he was very knowledgable and informative, couldn’t do enough to make the day special, felt safe at all times and he even made a short detour to see the local long horned sheep.

My husband and I absolutely loved this experience! Calvin was an amazing guide -- knowledgable, warm, and fun -- and we learned so much about the nature and the history of the area. Calvin kept us at a perfect pace so that we could take in the incredible scenery on our way to and from the cave. We can't recommend this enough. We loved every minute of it.

This was a great experience. Our wonderful guide, Brianna, explained everything about handling the kayak and what to expect out on the water making everything stress free. Brianna also gave thoughtful explanations about landmarks and wildlife along the route too. This trip should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Tehya was an amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable of the area and wild life that really made the experience much more meaningful. Her attention to her guests and those around was really touching. I would highly recommend.

On time, fun, more than what we thought we would get. Loved our guide—she was funny, kind, and obviously loves her job. Shows us lots of animals and many extras. Had a perfect time!

This tour was great. Faith, our guide, kept us entertained on the drive to the marina with fun facts and history of the area. Once on the kayaks she was so helpful and kind. The tour itself is great. It was a hot day 106 degrees but the water is cold and so amazingly clear. The scenery is amazing. The cave itself isn’t very big but it didn’t matter - the trip there and back was gorgeous. Snacks and water are provided. If you’re a beginner or just not very experienced, Faith will take good care of you. She even did some diving (as a mermaid!) to retrieve a strangers lost items.

No experience necessary, sun protection on an easy, breezy, afternoon fun. Soren knows his stuff and will help you.

A perfect day with lots of great moments and excellent and knowledgeable guides that really looked after our first timers. Clavin and Ryan are both amazing considerate guides.
