It was a once in a lifetime experience! We loved being able to see all the stars in the desert sky as well as seeing all the unique features of Death Valley. Corey went above and beyond to make sure it was a great tour.

This is full days excursion, mid morning pickup and a very late drop off. The transport is comfortable with good air conditioning and has lots of water, sodas and snacks onboard. Our guide for the day was Jeff, another fantastic guide and driver, he was also really knowledgeable about Death Valley. It takes about 2 hours to get to the outskirts of the park, stopping at gas stations to use the restrooms. We went to the visitor centre where we found out more information about the valley and had a short video. We visited different points throughout the park for photo opportunities, the Inn at Death Valley which is a fantastic hotel in the middle of an oasis, and the shops at Furnace creek. We traveled to Dante’s point for the star gazing. We stayed for a while taking shots of the sky, it was windy and the temperature turned cooler going down to 66 degrees from 112 during the day. The journey home took about 3 hours and was after midnight when we returned to Vegas. Death Valley is amazing, beautiful scenery and a beautiful sky full of stars. We didn’t see the Milky Way but it didn’t spoil the trip. It’s a pity we didn’t see Dante’s point in the day light as the photos on the net are out of this world.
This was such a cool way to see Death Valley and our guide Corey clearly cared about both the park and her tour. She made her tour a very hospitable oasis in an inhospitable place!
This was such a great way to see Death Valley at different times of day. Our guide Corey was fabulous and made sure that we enjoyed the park as much as she does!
Jeff was the guide for my Death Valley tour. He was AWESOME!!! He was knowledgeable and fun. The Death Valley stargazing tour is a long day but 1000% worth it! Highly recommend, 100000/10.
OMG I wish I could rate higher. Fabulous! Guide, Amber, is so knowledgeable and fun. The scenery is great, the tips are awesome, Max Tours treats you as valuable customers. Snacks were muffins, bananas, various chips, fruit snacks. Drinks were water, various sodas, all ice cold. I have been on tours with Max Tours and they are GREAT!! My guides have been spectacular!!
This was the perfect day trip from Vegas! Scott was a wonderful guide who drove very safely and the tour was well thought out. They provided unlimited water which was needed in the desert heat. We also had a dinner stop at the Ranch at Death Valley which had plenty of food options and a great general store for souvenirs.
By far the best tour I’ve ever been on. Our guide, Corey, was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny. Her themed music choices added such a fun and immersive touch, and truly enhanced the entire experience. She went above and beyond by sharing extra insights beyond the standard tour information. We had an amazing time and would absolutely book another tour again in the future!
Loved this tour! Death Valley national park is huge, and we covered quite a few viewpoints in the day. Our tour guide, Carl, was very knowledgeable and fun. He made sure we had ample time at each viewpoint. The main event, stargazing in the desert, was mesmerizing. Highly recommend!
It was awesome trip . Jeff is great , on time and organized . Thanks to him for making sure we’re safe and hydrated . He made sure we saw the sunset and it was so beautiful especially the reflections . Star gazing was great
This tour was amazing! Even though it ended up being cloudy and we didn’t get to see the stars everything was just great! Don’t let the time scare you because the day actually went by fast there were so many stops and things to see. Elaine was an incredible tour guide. She took great care of us and was very knowledgeable about the whole area. Definitely put this on your list!
Fantastic Death Valley tour with amazing stops . The landscapes were breathtaking, and everything was very well organized. Our guide, Elaine, was incredible, she had so much knowledge and shared fascinating information while keeping the trip fun and engaging the whole time. Highly recommend this tour
I highly recommend this day trip and tour company . The places we visited were so unique . Our guide, Elaine ,was super informative and took great care of the group’s needs.
We had a wonderful tour of Death Valley. Elaine our guide was informative and engaging. I learned so much about the area’s history I would never have known had I driven this myself. The night sky is amazing. This is a unique area. Highly recommend the tour and Elaine.
Our trip was amazing and Corey was our guide and did an amazing job!! Our family of 7 ranging from ages of 22 to 72 haven’t stopped talking about it yet. Corey was a great guide and provided a lot of interesting information during the tour. She was flexible on times and showed us some of her favorite things. She was able to squeeze in more sites for us to see. Oh, and her playlist during the quiet times was fantastic! It was in the low 70’s during the day so short sleeves was fine. Temps dropped at night for stargazing so recommend you bring a coat for that! (And it’s windy) Since the day is long and there isn’t a dinner stop make sure you buy extra food at the lunch stop (sandwich, salad, etc). It’s definitely worth every penny!!!
I give this tour a 5 out of 5 stars!! Highly recommend and worth every penny. Our driver and guide tour Corey was so sweet, knowledgeable, engaging and a very safe driver. We were lucky enough to have been the only family on our tour so we were able to customize a little bit. It was a fantastic tour!!
Amazing experience! Breathtaking views! The guide was so knowledgeable and nice, he explained all the details and made the tour even more pleasant.
Wonderful experience. The sceneries at Dante’s view, badwater basin are amazing and otherworldly. The stargazing experience is wonderful too, but make sure you bring enough clothing as it can get quite chilly in December night.
The tour company did this tour even though there were only 3 of us. The driver/guide had never done this tour before, but had ridden along the previous week on a tour. She spaced stops out well. We had enough time to see the sights. She was very informative about the park and what we were seeing. The end of the tour was a disappointment due to the weather. The wind was really blowing and the dust was flying everywhere. The other person on the trip was able to spend about a half hour out of the van getting pictures of the night sky. My husband and I only spent a couple of minutes. It was beautiful out there. All in all it was a nice experience and we would do it again.
Amazing I'm exhausted and I saw so much today they put together a custom tour for us for our group of 27 women we took up two different Transit vans and this is the 5th private party booking we have done with them and I loved Jonny and Elaone they went above the Call of Duty
It was fun! But it could have been better, we had a last minute change of itinerary and we didnt get to see everything. Still it was worth it, thank you for the tour.
We had such a wonderful time on this trip! Our tour guide, Johnny was so nice, knowledgeable, and very easy going! He made sure we were never without water or snacks, allowed us to rest in the A/C when needed, and was always willing to take pictures of us. Definitely be prepared for HOT temperatures and lots of sun, but this trip was perfect to see a good portion of Death Valley without having to navigate or drive yourself. We had at least an hour of laying on provided yoga mats under the stars having nice conversations about the different constellations and things we were seeing. It was a 10/10 trip and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a day trip to Death Valley from Vegas. We left around 10am and were dropped off around midnight.
Well-Organized Tour, Elaine is nice and a good and safe driver! The day was perfectly planned and the views were amazing, I highly recommend the stargazing tour because it's a really breathtaking experience.
Sorry any guide/ driver who is on their phone while driving their guests spoils the whole experience so I cannot comment further
I took a trip to Death Valley with stargazing in April 2025. It was an amazing experience. The landscapes were surreal and beautiful. Max Tour guide Elaine was very friendly, knowledgeable, and everything went on time. I would recommend this company and guide to all adventurers who seek reliable and safe company to get them around the desert. Thank you, Elaine!
The Death Valley National Park is many parks in one! Each stop has something unique and different to offer. Dante's View, Zabriski point, Devil's Gold Course, Badwater Basin (several hundred feet below sea level - how cool is that!), Artist's pallette, Living at Harmony, Death Valley ranch and the stargazing exercise were all great to witness. It is also fun to visit the shooting spot of the original Star Wars movie. We had an engaging session of Stargazing and were lucky to spot the train of starlinks during our 45-min session; complete with yoga mats and sky laser pointer. The 1.5 hr drive from Las Vegas offers other-worldly landscape and you can't stop taking videos or photos. It is hot so glad we did this in April. The entire tour is over 12 hours (we got picked up at 10.15am from our hotel) and were dropped off by 11.15pm. It's a long day and night but worth it. Jonny from Max tour was friendly and offered good advice and tour tips. He was very kind to let us take away drinks and snacks at the end of the trip as LV is a very expensive place. He also provided free cold drinks and snacks throughout the journey. We had restroom stops and food breaks at decent places.
We had an incredible experience with Max Tour on the Death Valley trip. Elaine was a fantastic tour guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of energy—which made the journey even more enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended!
Elaine was a great tour guide.. Informative, engaging and helpful. The tour itself was very nice and the stops along the way were great too.
After a recent two-day Grand Canyon and Antelope tour, my family was back for the Death Valley with Sunset and Stargazing tour. Scott was our tour guide for both trips. We felt very comfortable and safe traveling with Scott since we know him from our last tour. As usual, Scott was very patient with his driving and informative about our schedule and plan. He took care of everyone in the group and made sure that we were all comfortable. In one day, we were able to visit Donte's view, Artists Palette, Devil's Golf Course, Badwater Basin, Furnace Valley, Zabriskie point. We were able to enjoy the sunset and lay on the ground with Yoga mats provided by MaxTour to stargaze before wrapping up our day. It was a great experience! Thank you Scott!
Amazing experience ! It was too hot that day, didn't expect that much high temperature. But the breathtaking valley views couldn't stop me for short hikes even at that temperature! Stargazing part was amazing, it was a full moon night, got a nice view of the moon and countless stars on the night sky, could spot several constellations on the night sky! Elaine was our tour guide-driver, she is so cool and nice! Overall its a memorable experience !
Absolutely amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️ It is a long day but I enjoyed every minute!!! Momo was my tour guide and you can tell this is her passion. She puts in every bit of her heart soul and unbelievable amount of great energy into her tours! Best tour guide I’ve ever toured with! Thank you Momo !!! Your amazing!!! Love my pictures of the stars!!! Toni Josephik 🙂
Momo was a fantastic tour guide! Her knowledge of the area was truly impressive and I appreciated how she made an effort to make all participants feel comfortable and welcome. The van was very clean and the snacks and drinks were great. All stops on this tour were phenomenal - I would highly recommend.
My wife and I had an amazing Death Valley Day Tour with Sunset and Stargazing with Max Tour. The van was comfortable and the tour even provided plenty of cold drinks and snacks for the trip. Our guide Momo was fantastic. She always looked after us from the start until the end of the trip. She was very patience, fun and knowledgeable. The stargazing at the valley would not have been as fun without Momo who had a great knowledge about the stars and galaxies. We highly recommend Max Tour and Momo for this trip. Thanks Momo for making this trip very memorable for us!
Wonderful experience, magical place and the Death Valley will be in my memories forever! Stargazing was fun!
Amber provided a fantastic tour of Death Valley, and being able to stay past sunset really makes this a value-added tour over other tours being offered. My husband and I just got back from such a memorable day - the tour was efficient, friendly and fun and we learned so much. I found it exceeded my expectations. All good interactions with the company as well answering all my questions - good customer service all around. We travel a lot all over the world and research ours tours - this is highly recommended.
Our first trip to Vegas was made unforgettable by Phil, who was an exceptional tour guide. We truly enjoyed seeing all the landmarks and the time spent at each was perfect—we never felt rushed or like we were wasting time. Phil was very knowledgeable and funny, and there was always an abundance of snacks! Stargazing under the clear desert sky was absolutely breathtaking. It was an incredible experience, and I would definitely join another tour with Phil -maybe to the Grand Canyon next!
No Star Gazing Weather near the end of the tour was overcast with light rain showers. Disappointing but still a beautiful tour. Would not recommend going back. Go to Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah instead if you have limited time.
Death Valley was beautiful and our guide Scott was awesome. Really enjoyed Dantes viewpoint (great view), walking along the salt flats, walking the structures and all. And Scott our guide went out of his way to make out trip a memorable and comfortable one. Thank you Scott! I look forward to be back again.
Was a fantastic day from start to finish with our amazing host Jonny more like a friend than a guide making us all feel at ease from the off Knowledgeable throughout, perfect amount of stops and never rushed with drinks and snacks a plenty Great time at each point and the dinner recommendation was first class. Don't hesitate in booking this trip! Mark and Caroline - UK
Jonny was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the whole experience a pleasure the whole long day was great
Perfect excursion. Awesome place! The guide was very knowledgeable (he knew all the stars and constellations, best spot in Death Valley for amazing pictures), happy to do the job and took great care of us. The bonus was being in a small group (5 people including me).
Super fantastic tour. Phil was the best guide! He knew so many facts and told us all of the stories. There was ample time at each location and plenty of time to hike trails. The snacks were pretty cool, too. Would definitely do this again!
If you're a space geek like me, you have no excuse not to go if you can. The overall tour is fantastic itself if you don't mind being in a car for a good chunk of the time but otherwise, at the end of it, just take in the sights of the milky way and the beautiful universe. That's truly a view worth giving everything for.
Long day but so worth it. Don't need to pack lunch as you can buy it at the ranch. Drink lots of water as it is dry in the valley areas.
I took two trips with Max Tours (after a lot of research) and they were both exceptional and it's so hard to pick a favourite! Death Valley stargazing tour: This is a new tour introduced by Max Tours and I am so so glad that they did. Johnny was our main tour guide and we also had Amber with us. Being one of the closest national parks from Vegas, the travel time is relatively lesser. The two reasons for this awe-inspiring trip were the unique scenery in Death Valley and the attention to detail by Max Tours. Salt flats, unique rock formations, naturally coloured rocks, the darkest nights, the lowest point on earth - death valley had it all and honestly I felt like I was on another planet. Johnny gave us lots of snacks, water, restroom breaks, information and stopped at amazing restaurants for food (not included in the price). He picked and dropped us off at our individual hotels and took many pictures for us. The stargazing was mesmerizing and they even arranged surprises for us. For the price you pay for this tour, you get maximum value and the most memorable day. Antelope canyon tour: Cash was our guide for this tour and he was so much fun! This tour does have a lot of travelling but the music that Cash played, the information he kept giving us and the restroom breaks made the travel time seem lesser. The lower antelope canyon has to be the most amazing place that I have seen in my life, you get different local guides for this tour. The horse shoe bend was great and since we were doing very well on time, we got to visit Glen canyon and do a small hike as well. I was the only vegetarian in the group and Cash ensured that I got a burrito. This tour feels worth it because food is included and you get to see amazing places. Finally, the customer service of Max Tours was super helpful to me on two occasions before the tour. Take the tours with these guys or you're missing out on something amazing! I'll be back with my husband for more tours.
I did the Death Valley stargazing tour with Jonny and it was just amazing! I’ve never seen such an incredible landscape. Jonny was an awesome tour guide and I loved that we were just a small group. The tour ended with the stargazing and Jonny even brought a telescope and Yoga mats so we could lay down. I would highly recommend the tour!
Tour was really nice glad we did the star gazing one. Phill is really knowledgeable and super helpful. However tour shoud start earlier so we have enough time at artist palette and Dante’s view those felt a little rushed and there is a lot to see. Overall very relaxing easy tour
We had a great day with our guide. We were able to see some sites of the death valley and especially enjoy a superb starry sky!! Very good value for money. We strongly advise
