Had a great day leaving Los Angeles and travelling to Las Vegas via Death Valley. We had James from MaxTour. He was amazing! prompt pickup, made sure we were all comfortable and shared some great knowledge about Death Valley. We had such an amazing time. A lot better than getting an internal flight. If we are coming back down this way, we would love to do another tour with them. I would definitely recommend.

very good experience. jon the guide was very friendly and took us to see all the best places in Death Valley. recommended
James broschat is amazing. He is kind and considerate to different guests and knows how to give each one what they want. He gives just the right number of tips and history tid bits. He went above and beyond to help me with my Metallica concert bookings In Vegas. You would be lucky to have such an experienced yet polite guide.
This tour was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Out tour guide was Jon: knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about what he does. He shared interesting stories and details, answered all our questions, and made every stop enjoyable and memorable. One of the biggest highlights of this tour was the small-group format. There were only eight of us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It allowed us to explore each stop at a relaxed pace, take our time appreciating the scenery, and truly enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by a large group. This was definitely a huge added value. What really made the tour special was Jon’s enthusiasm, friendliness, and genuine care for his guests. He created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere that made the entire experience feel personal and unforgettable. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you, Jon, for such a fantastic day and for the great memories!

Amazing. Jon gets 5 stars. Great narration. Lots of good conversation. Excursion itself gets 5 stars. Death Valley is worth it. Maxx Tours hits all the high lights. You have ample and appropriate time at each stop. Lunch stop at the Death Valley Inn was varied in cost and decent quality. Buffet, Burger/ice cream store or grab and go store. Jon's Playlist gets 5 stars! Appropriate song along the way. Cross into CA, played California Dreaming. Driving in Death Valley, played Heat Wave. On the way back played On the Road again. 5 stars for snacks. Maxx Tours had muffins for a breakfast snack, free snacks (chips bags) and plenty of water all day long. I think I am up to 20 stars.
Great day and beautiful scenery. Never been to anywhere like it before so excellent experience.. Obviously hot but it was very breezy so that helped and plenty of bottles of water and sodas provided. Etc.a long day but well worth it. Def recommend and recommend Max Tours who took us too.
Absolutely perfect! Wear closed toed shoes. Plenty of hiking opportunities. Our guide, Jeff was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend
Very well organized and the host was amazing! I learned a lot and very much appreciated the snacks and beverages being included.
We were a family of six from the UK and did the Death Valley tour from Las Vegas on 6th August 2026. We knew going in the first week of August might be a little crazy because of the heat, but it was the only time that fitted into our holiday — and we’re so glad we went! Yes, it was very hot, but Death Valley was absolutely incredible and the experience was definitely worth the uncomfortable temperatures. It was one of those days we’ll all remember from our holiday. Our guide Brian was fantastic. He was really knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole day enjoyable. He also did everything he could to help us cope with the heat, including providing cooling towels, iced water and snacks, which were very much appreciated! Overall, it was a tremendous day out and one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely recommend the tour, and if you’re considering going in the summer, don’t let the heat put you off — just come prepared! Thank you, Brian, for making our Death Valley trip such a memorable experience! experience! 🏜️☀️🌵💦🇺🇸❤️
This tour was awesome! Corey our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Death Valley and Las Vegas! The tour hit the highlights and provided snacks and beverages. Our tour guide even served as photographer so we could capture the awesome landscape. I would highly recommend this tour and Corey as your tour guide!
Corey was friendly, very knowledgeable and an excellent driver. She was a wonderful guide on the death valley tour!
Had a wonderful time and visited all the major scenic highlights of Death Valley. Our experience was greatly enhanced by our guide Bull who provided snacks and water throughout the trip, took photos and provided a lot of interesting information. In addition to being a great guide, he was an excellent driver. I would highly recommend this trip as a taster to Death Valley which could be done again at a more leisurely pace over a few days, if you wish.
Brian was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the park and especially about many unique and unusual aspects about the history of the park and the whole area. He was cheerful, accommodating, but very professional. Would highly recommend both Brian and this tour very much. Death Valley is a must see park if you are in the area.
Fabulous! Eleven hour tour with multiple stops that showcased the park’s variety & beauty. The diverse rock formations and salt flats were fascinating. Corey was an excellent tour guide - informative, interesting, responsive to questions, outstanding at providing itinerary updates, safe driver, and a wonderful photographer.
Brian provided an incredible, personable Death Valley National Park tour! Hotel pickup was timely and quick. He ensured a relaxed pace at each stop and provided insightful history. We were also well-supplied with plenty of water and snacks throughout the long day. This consistently excellent third time experience highlights top-tier service! Maddy
We booked our Death Valley tour with Max Tours, the website was easy to use and we ended up booking 3 tours in total. The communication was excellent and picking up from any hotel in Vegas was a bonus. Our tour guide Corey, was beyond brilliant, knowledegable, fun, experienced, helpful & attentive - she had it all. Plenty of water and snacks supplied for the journey and an air conditioned van. Small group of 12 (including Corey). The schedule and planned stops were breath taking and I feel we had plenty of time at each location for photos, exploring and taking in the views. We paid for the extra star gazing tour and it was fantastic to end a great day under the night sky and even seeing shooting Stars! Totally recommend! Mr & Mrs Toms from Hertfordshire, England.
Excellent tour! Highly recommend it!! Our guide Brian was amazing!! Way better than driving by yourself.
Best wake experience ever I had with my friends.
Was a great day out to Death Valley with Carl but be prepared for a 12 hour day. My itinerary said light breakfast and there were plenty of snacks and cold drinks but stopped at a service station for Coffee. Plenty of toilet stops. I'd say the scenery was better than the Grand Canyon. I've only given 3 points because of the awful pickup and drop off situation. I was staying in the south of the strip and the day before they decided they weren't picking up at my hotel. I had to make my way at 0615 in the dark to the MGM Grand meeting point which was up a back street outside a multi storey car park! They did give me a list of other hotels in the same area and on hindsight I should have chosen one of those so I could wait in the lobby. I was very lucky as there was someone else there who could use their phone as the pickup was 25 mins late. It was very stressful and scary. All the couples seemed to get picked up at their hotels! Not good planning at all. I'd recommend but make sure if you are on your own you choose a lobby pickups.
Got to see all the great sites in Death Valley. We got picked up right at our hotel around 7 and were back by 6:30, so plenty of time to still have dinner in Vegas.
Absolutely one of the best. Our guide Momo was exceptional, knowledgeable, friendly and concerned for her passengers. I’d take every tour with her.
Chad was very efficient in running tour. We saw all of the highlights in a 12 hour day. There were plenty of drinks and snacks. We were not rushed at the sights and had time to take pictures/walk around. I highly recommend this tour as I didn’t have to navigate and find parking in Death Valley. Thank you to Max Tours!
The Tour was amazing... even with the flooding, we were still able to get a good sampling of the park!! Our tour guide was SPECTACULAR!!!
Loved Elaine and all her facts and waiting for us to always be the last to the van. Death Valley was beautiful and a perfect day activity from Vegas
Our tour guide was excellent and informative and she dropped us off at our time share which saved us 15 minutes of walking
The Death Valley day trip from Las Vegas was absolutely breathtaking! Traveling in a small group made the experience comfortable and personal. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared fascinating facts at every stop from the surreal colors of Artist’s Palette to the vast salt flats of Badwater Basin. An unforgettable adventure for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike!
We only had four people on our tour. Chad took extra time with us and took pictures of us so we could get pictures together. He was truly amazing.
Jonny and Elaine were so awesome! Jonny is full of interesting facts specialized for the tour. Amazing time all around!
It was a good day trip with a very knowledgeable tour guide. The stops were interesting and our guide narrated each stop and gave us time to explore.
Had an amazing time with Ken. Loved the bonus spots we got to see along the way. The views were breathtaking. We had so much fun exploring and the food was awesome.
This was a great tour. It's a long day, but worth it. Be prepared for approximately a 2 hour car trip back and forth. Some passengers took naps, but if possible, stay awake because the view is breath taking.
I booked this trip as a solo traveler and it was the best thing I could have done with my free day in Las Vegas after a work trip! Elaine was my guide and she was extremely knowledgeable, energetic and a joy to spend the day with. She made sure we got all the pics we wanted and kept us hydrated while we were on our excursions. Thank you for the great day Elaine!
All I can say is awesome views, an awesome guide, and an overall awesome tour. After all the guests were picked up in Vegas, we stopped along the way for a quick breakfast, and then it was on our way to Death Valley. We first stopped at Furnace Creek at the visitors center and then to Badwater Basin salt flats at 282 ft. below sea level. We then stopped at Devels Golf Course, followed by Artists Palette for the colorful hills. We stopped for lunch at the Ranch. After lunch, we went to Zabriskie Point. Our last stop was at Dantes View at 5482 ft. above sea level for a breathtaking view of a good portion of the valley. We headed back after that. Our tour guide, Jonny Tower, was absolutely awesome with a great amount of knowledge of the park along with its history. I highly recommend Max Tours and Jonny.

One of the best tours I have ever been on. So well organised and fit so much into one day. Tour guide Morgan, could not have done anymore for us. She was fantastic and a true asset to the company. A trip of a life time to remember for ever.
Incredible Experience in Death Valley! The tour to Death Valley was absolutely breathtaking! Each stop seemed to outdo the last, offering stunning views and unforgettable moments. What really made the trip special was our tour guide, David. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does—his passion, knowledge, and enthusiasm made the entire day even more enjoyable. Though it's a long tour, it’s completely worth it. I would definitely join another tour with David and highly recommend both him and this tour company to anyone looking for an amazing adventure!
It was a fantastic tour!! Our stops throughout the day in Death Valley were so scenic and interesting. Our guide kept us stocked up on waters and snacks. He made sure everyone was keeping hydrated. It was a long day, but so worth experiencing Death Valley.
Death Valley tour experience is worth it. There were only 5 of us in the van which was perfect. We sat comfortably. No expectations about Death Valley but it was amazing! Our tour guide Orlin was great. Great music in the van from Bruce Springsteen to Prince, it was a delight to listen to the music during the ride. He also had great trivia about the filming of Star Wars in Death Valley. The sequence of sites that we visited was perfect. We begun at the lowest point in Death Valley (Badwater Basin) to the different colors of the rock at Artiste palate, to the magnificent rock formation at Zabrieski’s view and to end at the highest peak (Dante’s view) where you can see how vast this place. This tour is highly recommended. It’s hard to fully describe the magnificence of this park, you have to see it for yourself.
Death Valley National Park is a must-see. The landscape is a one-of-a-kind experience. It is a long drive from LV. But in our opinion it’s worth the drive. The van was clean and comfortable. Snacks and drinks were provided throughout the whole trip. Strategic stops were planned along the way for bathroom and food stops. Our driver and guide, Orlin, was knowledgeable and engaging. And his driving made us feel safe. We recommend this tour!
Very informative and the views were breathtaking. Our driver Louis was excellent and knowledgeable. The ride was comfortable and plenty of snacks and water.
Me and my husband highly recommended this tour. Death Valley is beautiful. Nature is amazing. It creates a mountains, water into a wonderful thing for people to love and protect the environment. MaxTour is on time and our driver/tour guide, Orlin, is a nice guide. He drives safely and always offers something to drink and eat (chips, energy bars or fruits. Thank you MaxTour, thank you Viator and thank you Orlin.
Elaine our driver and guide picked us up on time from our hotel and was friendly from the word go making sure we had drinks and snacks all day and that we were comfortable, with Elaine giving us lots of interesting information about the sights on the way, the sight of Death Valley from above was breathtaking and a magnificent sight again hats off to Elaine for pointing out things we would never have noticed, Furnace creek was extremely hot as you might have guessed! and the devils golf course and Badwater basin were remarkable Elaine got us all back to our hotel safe and sound and we would do this trip again in a heartbeat
The tour was scheduled for pickup at 7 am. The email on the day before the trip said 10:30 am pickup. My E-ticket still stated 7 am so I emailed to make sure this was a legitimate change and not a standard email with the wrong time. The email never emphasized this was a changed pickup time. I sent an email at 2:30 pm and no response came back. We were at the pickup place at 7 am and finally found a number to call to find out 10:30 was correct. We had 3.5 hours to kill. Breakfast was listed as included but only chips were offered plus water. No box lunch in place of breakfast was provided and no dinner stop happened either. We had lunch at the Oasis on our dime which was very busy and therefore very slow and told, as an option, to buy something for dinner at the General Store. The tour director gave some information but more was desired. However music was played the whole time in the SUV which was annoying to say the least. The park was very interesting but of course not much was able to be viewed due to time constraints. The sunset at Dante's View was great. However, the steep climb to the view caused the SUV to overheat and it needed to sit for 30 minutes to cool off before traveling further. The engine light was on all the way back to Vegas.
Luis was very polite, knowledgeable so made the tour enjoyable for all involved. Would highly recommend.
We took this small group tour of Death Valley, and were so glad we did. We had no idea Death Valley was as beautiful and magical as it is. Seriously thought we were going to see a pile of rocks! Death Valley has so many interesting areas to see: Salt Flats at Badwater Basin, the many colors of rock at Artist's Palette, golden colored badlands from Zabriskie Point, and expansive view at Dante's View. Just a stunning, gorgeous place! Our tour guide and driver Jonny was incredibly kind, informative, and had the best taste in music. We got to hear all the classics on the 12 hour tour. We recommend this tour whole heartedly!
