Area 51 Alien Center: make a stop at the quirkiest alien and UFO inspired gift shop near Las Vegas!
See Rhyolite Ghost town that was so prominent in its rise in 1904 that instead of wooden construction for the buildings in town they used concrete which has left behind a spooky skeleton of an early 20th century gold rush! Also see art exhibits of the Goldwell Open Air Museum.
Enter through Hells Gate where we stop and view the largest national park in the lower 48 states of the United States.
Take a few minutes to wander the collection of wind erosion culminating in huge sand dunes in the middle of Death Valley. Also the site of famous science fiction Hollywood cinema filming.
Have Lunch at the Toll Road Restaurant and see the famous Burned Wagons Point Memorial.
The famous Death Valley thermometer awaits outside the visitor center. Inside you can see the following: topographical map of the entire area, history of the region, view examples of wildlife, and much more! Souvenirs, gifts, and restrooms also available here.
Beautiful scenic drive through the valley to Badwater Basin to walk on the lowest elevation in North America. The air is more dense and the water on site is not drinkable, hence the name!
View or even walk on the volcanic exposition of colors, hills and canyons.
Christian Zabriskie's name from Borax mining fame adorns this spectacular vista showcasing natures erosive abilities. Hiking trails all around and famous Hollywood filming locations too.
See the highest paved viewpoint in Death Valley with views across that are further and deeper than Grand Canyon West and rivaling Grand Canyon National Park's widest point. Sometimes we will substitute another higher location when weather and conditions permit.

An Amazing Death Valley Experience with Brian! Amazing experience! My husband and I were the only two people booked for the tour, but Brian still showed up and made sure we had an unforgettable day. That alone speaks volumes about his dedication and commitment to providing a great experience. Death Valley was SO much more beautiful than I ever anticipated. I was amazed by the incredible diversity of the landscape, the unique ecosystems, and the biodiversity throughout the park. From the breathtaking scenery to the fascinating natural features, there was so much more to see and appreciate than I ever imagined. Brian was wonderful! He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He took us to some really cool places both inside and outside the park, including areas we might never have discovered on our own. He took the time to explain what we were seeing, shared interesting information, and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to take it all in. The tour was everything we expected and SO much more! It was informative, enjoyable, personalized, and never felt rushed. You could tell Brian truly wanted us to have the best possible experience. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend Brian to anyone visiting the area. In fact, we’ve already been telling our friends to look him up when they’re in the area. If you’re considering a Death Valley tour, don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Brian, for making our Death Valley visit such a memorable experience!
It was exceptional. Nothing can be better than seeing a spectacular place like this with someone that's such an outdoor enthusiast. I really want to go back there with this same tour.
The Death Valley tour was wonderful. Brian was a fantastic guide full of thoughtfulness and useful information about the history of the places we visited. The hotel pick-up service was priceless. He took us to enchanting places and thanks to him, we also discovered hidden gems in both the Park and the surrounding area. Seeing the Death Valley with him was great as he showed us landscapes and places we would have hardly discovered on our own. The breakfast offered halfway through the trip was exquisite and full of choices. I 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know the real nature of these places.
Our trip to Death Valley was amazing! Brian is very knowledgeable and a great tour guide. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time at Death Valley with Brian. Brian, unlike some other operators, will conduct the tour irrespective of number of individuals signed up. This reliability was very appreciated as we were the only individuals on the tour and had prior experencies with operators cancelling tours. Brian was very patient and had lots of interesting information to share. We made stops at numerous places (some were non traditional spots which were cool), several extra stops thrown in too. Brian made sure we had a pleasant time and really got to experience the charm of Death Valley. The vehicle was comfortable and we were even provided a buffet breakfast that was sumptuous. I would definitely recommend visiting Death Valley with Brian.
What an amazing place, and Brian the tour guide was fantastic. Showed us places that was not on the itinery. (that all the tour passengers was happy with). A true nature lover showed us so many wildlife, even turned around on the road when he spotted a tarantula on the side of the road. well worth taking an escorted trip and not doing it yourself with your own car. Had plenty of time in all the places we stopped. Brian deserves the 5 star rating and more he was amazing. thank you Brian for a brilliant unforgetable day. Would highly recommend
Breakfast is super delicious! The trip is great! We go to the famous spot without much walking! Brian knows the secrets spot and the shortest way to go! Schedule is well planed so no need to worry hungry and thirsty and so on! Definitely 5 star!
What an incredible tour! The breathtaking views were absolutely unforgettable. We experienced it all—from the top of the mountains at 6,000 feet to the valley floor below sea level, where temperatures reached 97 degrees! The dramatic changes in elevation, scenery, and temperature made this adventure truly unique. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, and the fascinating history shared throughout the tour made the experience even more memorable. A special thank you to our amazing tour guide Brian! His knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion for Death Valley truly brought the experience to life. We appreciated the interesting stories, attention to detail, and the care taken to make sure everyone had a wonderful time. Our guide made an already incredible adventure even more special! Death Valley is a place you have to see to truly appreciate its beauty. Such an amazing adventure and definitely a highlight of our trip! Highly recommend!
Guide was great, very informative and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone. Wonderful experience
This was an outstanding tour. Communication for pickup and the pickup itself couldn’t have been smoother. Brian was a tremendous guide and we spent almost literally the entire day with him. He is very knowledgeable of Death Valley and the area around it. I highly recommend this tour.
Had a really fantastic time on this tour. Brian was a great guide and made this tour feel like more than just a tour. Communication was great, pickup was easy, and the day was seamless. We had a very small group which allowed us to be flexible and Brian went out of his way to make sure the day met everyone’s interests and exceeded expectations. It lasted well over the 12 hours in the description and included some extras that weren’t included in the description. It’s clear that he loves the park and also what he does. We saw all of the main sites in Death Valley while avoiding the crowds and getting better views. The tour included a fantastic sit-down breakfast and numerous stops throughout the day for bathroom, snack and shopping breaks. I’d be happy to do a tour with him again.
Very long day but definitely worth it! Our tour guide Brian made sure we hit all the spots on the itinerary and added a few surprises that we really enjoyed.
Once in a lifetime tour. Best money spent around . Thing you could never see on your own. History and knowledge you would ever know. Please book this tour. Make sure it with Brian
What an amazing day we had. Brian was an outstanding guide with lots of information on the fabulous Death Valley National Park. The van was comfortable and it was a small group. Ticked the boxes all the way. I highly recommend this tour, it exceeded expectations.
It is very personal with the very knowledgeable guide - Small group is they way to go. Specialized for the group.
Wow, where do we start… Brian, the owner of Mojave Wave picked us up from our hotel in Las Vegas and we joined 2 other tourists on an incredible journey into Death Valley. From the history of the area to the awesome incredible views Brian took us to, we were lucky beyond words. We had a wonderful breakfast brunch, kept supplied with cold water throughout the more than 12 hour trip and received lots of recommendations for other trips on our vacation. Seriously don’t miss this outstanding journey into Death Valley. If you use another operator you WILL miss out. Mojave Wave is THE BEST tour operator / tour guide for a visit to Death Valley. Highly recommended. Thanks Brian. We had a blast.
Having never been to Death Valley before, I booked this tour expecting to just hit the highlights. What we got was so much more. Though we were the only two people to have booked, Brian, our tour guide, contacted us the night before to confirm our pick-up location, and arrived promptly at 3:30 am to set out on our adventure. Brian has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area, from the history of the pioneers to every animal, rock, tree, road, ghost town, and mountain in the area. He made suggestions of various interesting sights we might like to see and tailored the tour to our responses. We were never rushed and enjoyed ample time at each stop along the way. It ended up being simply unforgettable. We got to see things we never even thought about getting to see. Restroom/souvenir/ food stops (including a delicious breakfast buffet) were numerous. Thank you, Brian, for your endless patience, humor, and willingness to drive us on the adventure of a lifetime. We're looking forward to booking with Mojave Wave LLC again next time!
The tour was amazing! Brian showed us such amazing places, slipped the crowds, showed the gems of tge Death Valley. And breakfast was great, not cold sandwiches etc, but a buffet with hot meals.
This tour was absolutely amazing! Our guide Brian was fantastic!!! He shared so much fascinating information about death valley and its history. We toured for 12 hours, and I was sorry when the tour ended. Brian made sure we all had an unbelievable time. There were plenty of rest stops and plenty of water was available. I give this tour one hundred stars!
Brian is great! Super nice, knowledgeable, and fun guy! He knows Death Valley and the nearby areas inside and out. I love the history, stories, and geologic background he tells during the drive. We had plenty of restroom breaks and food stops along the way. The car was very comfortable and there were cold water bottles available during the trip. I really appreciate that Brian goes above and beyond for his clients. We went to a lot of extra places and had so much fun. I highly recommend this tour!
Great experience, very knowledgeable guide who drived us to secret spots with amazing views. Highly Recommended
Best Trip all around!! Best Driver!!! Thank You Brian!!
I highly recommend joining this tour with Jason. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. He even made an out-of-country phone call to help pick up a guest who had booked but unfortunately missed their tour time slot. Jason was also very kind and took pictures of everyone. During the tour, Jason shared fascinating information about how we’d see wild donkeys which he stopped so we all could see, stopped at a charming diner restaurant and then a ice cream shop which also had good hot dogs if you were hungry after lunch. It felt like we started as strangers and ended as friends. I would definitely take another tour with Jason because he was such a great guy. I enjoyed learning about Jason’s family and how his work journey was created by him and the other tour guide. It was also interesting to look hear about the origins of the tours. I definitely wouldn’t want to miss out on these tours. I promise you that you’ll get great views, good company, and be in good hands with this tour guide, Jason!
Fantastic tour to Death Valley with Mojave Wave and Brian. Super helpful from the start and especially grateful to him for taking me despite being the only person on the tour that day due to my tight schedule. Picked up at 3am from the hotel which was great to be able to see the night sky / stars and he was full of knowledge and insights throughout the day. Really enjoyed the day in Death Valley visiting the sites, coupled with a great spot for breakfast and back in Vegas at 2pm. Can’t speak highly enough of Mojave Wave and 100% recommend to go with them when choosing a Death Valley tour for a personalized experience you won’t forget!
Great tour. No need to leave quite so early though. Heat limits outside time but it’s Death Valley!! Good van a/c so always comfortable. Guide knew the history very well.
That was amazing day. We visited many spots. I recommend definitely. Jason guide was very good. Good luck 🍀
Highly recommend getting off of the strip into the awesome natural wonders of the area. Brian gave a wonderful tour with many surprises and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. Death valley had many scenic spots that were all different and unexpected, and we heard lots of history to go along with the incredible places.
Hello everyone, The Death Valley tour with Brian was by far the best tour I experienced during my two-week stay in the USA. The 2:50 AM start was very early, but it was definitely worth it. The sunrise at Dante’s View, where we could see both the sun and the moon at the same time, was indescribably impressive—and the view was, of course, stunning as well. Everything that followed was perfectly organized, too: Zabriskie Point, the vast salt flats at Badwater Basin, etc., and the ghost town at the end (including the gold mine) were great. During the drive, we also had very pleasant conversations, and I learned a lot about the history of the respective regions along the way. All in all, a super nice guide and, above all, a tour with breathtaking views. Highly recommend! Greetings from Poland, Kamil
Absolutely fantastic day out - Jason was an incredible tour guide, kept us all energized and interested throughout the day (despite the Dad jokes). Every stop was different and we got to witness some amazing sights, sounds and good - a brilliant day. Early pickup was totally worth it to see the stars and the sunrise - having a small group was really helpful too as we didn't have to wait around! Would 100% recommend, and would love to do it all again in the future.
Jason led us on a very-well planned, informative trip to Death Valley! I know the 2:30 am pick up sounds crazy - but it was well worth avoiding the extreme heat of the day! On the way - we stopped to see the Milky Way galaxy and listen to the amazing calm and quiet of the dessert at 3:30 in the morning. He got us to the top of Dante's View to see the epic sunrise and knew all about the areas we saw. We got to Badwater Basin in the cool morning hours, and to the dunes in Mesquite just as the heat was beginning to come on. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, and on the return trip home, stopping at the Rhyolite Ghost Town was pretty cool to see. We dozed in the van off and on, plenty of pit stops for bathrooms and snacks, and a comfy, air-conditioned van made for a great day. Well worth every penny having someone else drive and know all the spots and history rather than a DIY day trip!
Huge thanks to Brian and Jason for the warm hospitality and the attention to every little detail. You made sure everything ran smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The tour was interesting, fun, and thoroughly enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Looking forward to booking again. Thanks again!
Impressive sights in the Death Valley area and vicinity. Well planned out to ensure comfort while doing the activities so good planning. It gets hot so safety first. Jason was a good tour guide through the trip with all the facts and of course the jokes and humor. I would recommend this tour for those interested in seeing natural wonders while Jason and team take care of the planning and getting you around safely.
It was a great day trip to Death Valley that included stargazing, sunrise view and covering multiple places along the Death Valley formation. Out guide Brian was very informative and helpful with all the activities. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Without a doubt, the best tour we have ever done! Brian was extremely knowledgeable not only about everything to do with the area but he also shared so many interesting historical facts and stories. He piqued our interests so much that we ordered a book to read up on more on the area. He also took the time to learn about the people on the tour to maximize the experience, tailoring the stops to what our group wanted and he even threw in a few exciting surprises. We had the perfect amount of time at each location so no stop was rushed. We will definitely look for another chance to book with him again. It was my favorite day of vacation!
I did not like getting up so early, but it allowed us to see the run rise and to avoid the heat :) Dead valley salt covered lake was the highlight for me. Yes I would recommend!
Awesome tour, Highly recommend
Brian kept us informed of what to expect before the tour began. He was punctual with pick up and drop off. He was a wealth of knowledge about every aspect of our tour. The places we visited were each unique and places I most likely would not have driven to on my own. I would gladly choose another tour with this company in the future!
Our guide Bryan is very knowledgeable person. Started to end our tour very exciting. So much fun. Very good adventure.
This trip with Jason was almost like a private tour of DV. It was me and another person. We got to converse a lot. Jason had a lot to share, we had a lot of questions. Everywhere we went we were the only people. It was nice, informative and very professionally conducted. Would recommend to anyone who wants to do the best of Death Valley. The breakfast at Furnace Creek was the highlight.
This is a wonderful experience for anyone who wants to see Death Valley, especially for those traveling solo. Although it requires an early wake-up call, being able to witness the sunrise over the mountaintops at Dante’s View and explore the park with little to no tourists around is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We visited all the best spots in the national park, and I never once felt rushed or limited on time at any location. Jason, our guide, gave us plenty of time to fully take in the sights and scenery. Not to mention, he was a remarkable guide—informative, patient, conversational, and kind throughout the entire trip. Again, I felt like this tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will remember forever. It’s especially special for solo travelers, as you get the chance to meet others from different countries along the way. Thanks again to Jason for his professionalism and expertise in the national park! You’ll be lucky to have him as your guide.
Excellent trip. We got picked up at 5ish AM at our hotel in downtown. We then stopped at a coffee shop during our two our drive, stopping at some interesting sites on the way to Death Valley. We had a fantastic breakfast at about 9:30 and then spent the next several hours in Death Valley. The host is extremely knowledgeable and will hit you with facts all day and also allow you to have a say in what you do during the day. We had five folks on our tour, which indeed, allowed us all to discuss what we wanted out of our day. We saw a lot, drove a lot, and hiked some. Overall, this is the without a doubt the easiest way to see Death Valley and requires far fewer logistics than renting a car.
10/10! Before this trip, I deliberately avoided doing any research about Death Valley np because I wanted to be surprised, and wow, it exceeded my expectations in every way. First of all, our guide Brian was amazing — funny, knowledgeable, and super reliable. He made the whole journey smooth and engaging, and you can really tell he knows the place inside out. Secondly, the itinerary was perfect. We got to visit all the iconic and breathtaking spots across Death Valley . It truly felt like we didn’t miss a thing. The landscapes are absolutely unreal. Finally, shoutout to the great group I traveled with such a fun and positive vibe throughout the day, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting from Las Vegas!
Brilliant experience, proper small group (4 in total) and Jason gave us a custom tour. He made it interesting and entertaining and we both totally enjoyed the whole day. 12 hours out and a breakfast included.
Brian was our excellent driver and guide to the fascinating landscapes and history of Death Valley National Park. From hotel pick up to drop off, the tour is well paced with plenty time to see all the highlights. Next time I am in Las Vegas, I'm booking another tour with Mohave Wave!
Jason was a great guide, communicate well before the trip and was punctual for our 5am pick up. He was knowledgeable about many aspects of Death Valley and kept the long drives entertaining and enjoyable. Jason is a super safe driver, charismatic guide and overall nice dude. Go to Death Valley with him! Thanks Jason.
The tour was amazing. Brian is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the geography and history of the area. Thank you for the best tour of Death Valley!
One of the best tours I remember. Brian was a wonderful guide, super passionated about the history of the area and with +30 years experience living there. We got several bonus stops that improved the experience even more. He will provide you with all the information you might be interested at, such as dessert wildlife and geology, as well as some filming shootings that took place in the valley. Breakfast was wonderful, and he made sure we all got a comfortable experience, giving us advices and trying to adapt the experience to get the best one possible. If you have been looking forward to visit Death Valley and you want to get the best experience possible, this is your tour.
Brian is a first class tour operator- years of experience, extremely knowledgeable and fun! I learned so much more about the park than I anticipated, appreciated the off-the-beaten path views he brought us to, and even hitting the speed bump FAST (don't worry - we all consented first). I saw where some movie magic took place, too. He was able to adjust the trip to accommodate everyone's must-sees. For me it was wildflowers, animal Wildlife and an oasis in the desert. Plus there was so. Much. More. The surprise side trips were super fun - no spoilers here. Transportation was so easy from the Vegas hotel. Food was plentiful-- most definitely a beautiful full day in the desert !! It really made a difference spending time with a guide so personally passionate about this place. I very highly recommend this tour.
Excellent small group tour - Jason the guide was brilliant, and the included breakfast buffet was the best breakfast I had during my whole Vegas trip!
