8.30am: Start from our office and take a bus 5 minutes to the pier. Visiting Cai Beo Floating Fishing Village, you will learn how people fish, grow fish and how is the daily life of the fisherman on the bay. Kayaking (sometimes bamboo boat) 1 and half - 2 hours through the rock arches to see some tunnels and discover Bat Cave and Bright Cave; stop at Ba Trai Dao beach or in Lan Ha Bay for swimming (depends on the tide level and weather)
Keep cruising to Ha Long Bay to sightseeing the most beautiful landscapes in less touristy areas. Enjoy the beauty of hundred limestone islands. 12.00 Have lunch on the boat. Come back Lan Ha Bay by a different route to enjoy more beautiful scenery. Swimming at another secluded sandy beach. Return to Cat Ba town at 5.30 - 6pm. Note: The trip can be flexibly changed due to customer's demands, the weather and the tide as well.
The tour was amazing! From the pick up till the end. The route was very nice, the food was varied and fresh. The crew of the boat was very nice too. But the person who really made it unforgettable was of course Hung! We had the funniest, the coolest and most cheerful guide on Earth! And his English was really good! Bravo! 👏🏻 100% recommended!

Brilliant trip exactly what we were looking for, fun activities amazing views and not crowded. Can’t say enough about Hang our tour guide he even organised a cake for my girlfriends birthday, I only mentioned her bit when booking the day before and did not request anything. He played happy birthday on the flute for us and also showed us very impressive card and dice tricks some he created himself.
First of all, we have to start with Tony. An incredibly funny, kind, knowledgeable and all round brilliant tour guide. His passion for job, the guests and the country as a whole shines through. The value for money is amazing. A full day of boating, and excursions. We saw 2 different species of Monkey, one was super rare. We swam twice at different spots, and jumped off the boat. We saw the insane beauty of Lan Ha and Halong Bay. There was a great lunch, and we kayaked in Halong Bay through some caves. We also went to a fish farm, which was really cool. I would highly recommend this tour, a must do with these people.
The one day Cat Ba Ventures cruise we had was well organizer and cery pleasent! We've been picked from our hotel by shutlle bus and transported to the office and then to the ship. It was less than 20 people on the cruise so it didn't feel overcrowded at all. Our tour guide Ninh was excelent - good english, helpfull and full of knowledge about the bay! Great value for money and I can recommend everyone this experience!

We were recommended Cat Ba Ventures by a friend, and we’re so happy we went with them! Everything was perfectly organized, from the on-time pickup outside our hostel to the beautiful boat and amazing itinerary. We visited stunning places with hardly another boat in sight, went swimming and kayaking, explored fish farms, and enjoyed a delicious lunch on board. One of the best tour guides I've ever had! We had an amazing day exploring Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay with Catba Ventures. Our guide, Hang, was absolutely fantastic! He made the whole trip so much fun with his great sense of humour, funny stories, and entertaining personality. He even showed us some magic tricks! He was very knowledgeable about the history, geography and biology of the Bay. He gave us a lot of data about animals, the rocks formation and the live of the fisherman but without being overwhelming. He was also very attentive to all the people that booked the tour and took great care of us. If you book with Cat Ba Ventures you would be very lucky if you get the chance to have him as a guide! My husband and I had a great time. Weather was good. The best was our guide , Tony. Tony is full of information and a good story teller. We learned so much about Vietnam and Vietnamese culture from Tony. Thanks to Tony, our trip was so memorable.
The most memorable part of the experience was the Kayaking part of the itinerary. The experience we, as a couple, had was beyond our expectations. We were treated in the best possible way right from the staff who help us board to the guide. Everything in the surroundings from beaches, to mountains, to caves, to the weather, the wind, the sun, delighted us more than we imagined it would. I would like to especially mention, Hang, our tour guide, as he was the best guide we could have asked for. He was very professional yet very comforting and friendly from the start. He made our trip even more comfortable and memorable so much so that since we have returned from our trip, we have spoken about him almost everyday, and that's something very rare for us to witness. He deserves all the praise and cheers. Looking forward to coming back again and doing another adventure with Cat Ba Ventures!!! Cheers!!!

Had a great day exploring Lan Ha and Ha Long Bay. Tony was a fantastic guide - funny, entertaining and really engaging throughout the day. Learned a lot about Vietnamese culture. Boat had good facilities, the food was great and the route was beautiful, with plenty of time to enjoy each activity without feeling rushed.

It was a beautiful day with our guide Jack who was very nice and gave us some information about Cat Ba ans Vietnam in general. We had vegetarian food which was very tasty and the crew made a real effort to provide us with something equally good food and of the same quantity as for the fish/meat eaters.
We loved the trip and found it very balanced between activities and rest time. Perfect organization and timing. Special thanks to our guide Jack for providing background information and delivering a bag that we forgot within 15 min by motorbike.

The best excursion that I ever had with a tour guide Hang who I never forget!!! This boat trip was our main purpose of visiting Cat Ba and I never imagined it will be that good!! The process of booking was super easy and clear (we booked directly with “Cat Ba Ventures” where agents explained us everything very well in a good english. Our 36$ per person experience included passing through floating fishing village, swim at the beautiful beaches, tasty lunch, 1h 30 min kayak with the guide via beautiful landscapes and sunset on the boat. Hang took care of us in the best possible way from the first moment giving clear instructions all the time, shared a bunch of interesting information about all things that surround us and kept us entertained during all trip. Genuinely, I never met such kind, sincere and attentive guide. One of the people in our group was celebrating his birthday, so the agency even brought him a cake, and Hang played a little tune on his flute for him. 🥹 We came back feeling like we’d just experienced one of the best days of our entire trip. They took us to beautiful, quieter places far from the crowds, but the absolute highlight was our guide, Hang. With 16 years of experience, he had an answer to every question and shared fascinating stories about the area and his life. He was hilarious, engaging, and even amazed us with magic tricks! We really went to some beautiful and remote spots away from the crowds, it felt like we were being let in on a secret. Our guide Ninh was so knowledgeable and funny and shared so many interesting stories and facts with us.
The stops we did had a great range of different activities including swimming, kayaking and seeing the fish farms all of which were very cool. Jack was charismatic, funny, and very knowledgeable for our tour which it made it that much better! The tour lasted all day which was nice as it filled the whole day with all the activities I mentioned. Would definitely do again as it was also a good value for the money.
Had an amazing day with Jack! He not only made sure we all had an enjoyable day on the water, but also went above and beyond by giving additional history informations about the island/bay. Additionally, he found ways to connect with all passengers based on where they were from. It’s very refreshing when you can tell that someone truly loves what they do. I would 100% recommend others to do the tour. Especially if they have Jack as their guide. If you want a perfect, activity based way to see the island/bay this is the tour for you.
After taking several day trips around Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay with different operators, Cat Ba Ventures was by far our favorite. What made the biggest difference was the timing and order of the stops. While other tours were crowded, we often had beaches and kayaking spots almost to ourselves. The well-planned schedule also provided plenty of shade while kayaking. The boat was clean and comfortable, with lots of shaded seating, sun loungers, two clean toilets, and a shower. The later start was another bonus, allowing us to sleep in and enjoy a beautiful sunset from the boat. The included lunch was excellent, with dietary preferences and allergies taken into account. Even the vegans in our group were very happy. Fresh fruit was served in the afternoon, and everyone received a complimentary 1.5-liter bottle of water. Additional drinks were reasonably priced, and the Vietnamese and coconut coffee were delicious. A special thanks to our guide, Jack, who was knowledgeable, attentive, and funny without ever being intrusive. He shared fascinating insights into Vietnamese culture, history, and language. We especially appreciated how patiently he supported less experienced kayakers while giving confident paddlers the freedom to explore independently. He struck the perfect balance between freedom and safety, making everyone feel comfortable and well looked after. Thank you, Jack and the whole team for such a wonderful day! We would book this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, well-organized and truly special way to explore Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay.
