Always radiating a genuine smile, he prioritized guest satisfaction with remarkable enthusiasm. His command of English was excellent, and he served as the main point of contact for all guests. The entire staff mirrored his warmth and professionalism, ensuring every need was met with care. Food: The meals exceeded expectations, especially considering the challenges of preparing food on a boat in the middle of the bay. While they strive to accommodate dietary restrictions, it’s worth noting that avoiding beef entirely might not always be possible. Each meal included an appetizer and concluded with fresh fruit, showcasing thoughtful planning. • Lunch (Day 1): Fried squid appetizer followed by duck pasta. • Dinner (Day 1): Crab cake and shrimp appetizer with stir-fried beef and rice. • Lunch (Day 2): Squid cake appetizer with chicken curry and rice. The bar offered an ample selection, though we opted to stick with beer and water. Activities: The curated activities were a highlight of the trip: • Kayaking: A breathtaking journey up a bay, through a cave, to a secluded cove. From there, we passed through another cave to reach an even more serene and idyllic cove, untouched by other tourists. Be aware that no formal instruction is provided, so come prepared. The kayaks were in decent condition and added to the adventure. • Biking: A picturesque ride to a local village, with the option to bike or take a golf cart one way or round trip. Along the way, we experienced a fish “massage,” where tiny fish nibbled at the dead skin on our feet—a strange but fun sensation! For the adventurous, there was also an opportunity to sample snake and eel liquor, which is not for the faint of heart. • Cooking Class: A delightful pre-dinner activity, learning to craft traditional Vietnamese rice rolls. • Swimming and Karaoke: These were offered, though we chose not to participate. Room: The accommodations were thoughtfully designed for comfort: • A cozy bed. • Fast hot water with impressive water pressure. • Efficient air conditioning, keeping the room surprisingly free of humidity. • Everything was clean, from the floors to the linens. The only minor drawback was the limited provision of water—just two 500ml bottles per day—but this did little to detract from the overall experience. Conclusion: From the attentive service to the immersive activities and comfortable accommodations, this was a journey to remember. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate—it’s an experience you won’t regret.

it was cold with a little rain when we go in december but our guide, as funny as he is, named sun was very sunny along the trip. everything was prepared nicely

We took 2D1N option and it was overall a good experience. Ship was fine and rooms were very clean. The itinerary was almost as they described it (a bit shorter), and Sun was very enthusiastic and helpful host. We really enjoyed the activities and our time to relax on the boat. But... the food quality was quite low, maybe except the barbecue dinner. Guys, you have a lot of delicious food in Vietnam so maybe you should put a bit more effort? Also, the prices and quality of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in a boat's bar were horrible.

We took the lan ha bay cruise and it was great. The boat was small and there were only 15 tourists in all. The rooms were good. Our guide (Xuan) was really nice and fun. Didn't feel rushed and plenty of time to relax. We did this during Christmas and there was a DJ and fireworks to end the night! They even accommodated for vegetarians on the cruise. Overall the food was good but could have been better (maybe with more local cuisine)

The view were amazing and the same for their personal so nice ! The activities were very good and also good atmosphere on boat

Right boat size, right number of people and excellent management by Sun. My only suggestion is to provide more seafoods into the menu.

Great views & energetic host. Kayaking through caves, swimming, biking and many other good activities. Food was just okay but everything else was great.

We were here in December 2024 for 1 night. It was amazing and Sun was an excellent host and guide. We really loved this cruise since it is calm and you have a perfect balance of activities and free time to enjoy the sun and relax. We did kayaking in the caves and did a cycle trip that was amazing. We also saw monkeys on the beach. Overall this was an experience I will not forget and I recommend everyone to do it. You can not skip ha long bay when you are visiting Vietnam.

Good fun. Great food. Tour guide was full of energy and humour. We had a twin room with a balcony which was clean and well stocked with essentials. The activities were as per the itinerary. Loved the morning Tai Chi

We’ve been 2 days and one night on this cruise and it was amazing : the landscape are obviously amazing but it’s nothing compared to the staff and Duong (the guide) who took good care of us and who showed us the best views with the most amazing mood, because Duong is always happy and smiling, we could tell that he was passionate by his job. The jonge appears in a magnificent setting around the water and the extraordinary landscape. The rooms are as expected with cleanliness and relaxing decoration. Many thanks to the very friendly crew and service. From the kayak ride to discovering the taste of rice wine, including squid fishing and also a great Karaoke evening with new friends, including the bike ride on the island of Viet Hai.. . all this brings together in our memory only good memories and the desire to return. Bravo !

The experience was terrible. I booked for 3 people using viator and paid via credit card. They sent a confirmation email with a ticket noting that we would be picked up in the morning from the hotel. In the morning i reached out to the tour operator via the viator chat window to confirm the pick up time and received no response. I then tried to contact them on whatsapp and was also ignored. After repeated calls on whatsapp they responded directing me to contact another number. By this point we took a taxi to the port as we were not getting any comfirmation of pick up. At the port, the tour operator then communicated (in very limited english) that we were not on the guest list. I kept trying to get answers via whatsapp numbers, but no one would take the calls, and one number told me that they did not use viator. Eventually after hours of trying to figure out what was going on the boat left without us and no one there to provide answers. I had to hunt down another number to request a refund and eventually got them to agree to refund the money at around 2.30pm (the tour started at midday). All in all a deeply frustrating and enraging experience. I would not recommend using this company based on how dysfunctional and inept their staff are. You are in for a bad time if you run the risk of booking with them.

Booked, paid $618 NZD and they had no recorded with the boat at Cat Ba. Spoke to the company at the dock after they failed to pick us up after confirming they would. They gave us 6 differents WhatsApp numbers who said they'd refund us and just stopped replying. Long story short the company exists but don't book with them. They are completely incompetent and lied multiple times trying to sort out booking, wasted our entire day. Then we left mid afternoon trying to figure out what to do. Haven't got refund yet

The Daiichi cruise was very nice. The boat cosy, the rooms comfortable with nice view points. The personnel helpful and kind, but especially the guide Duong (Sun) with his energy made the whole experience amazing. Fun and well organised activities. 1 night tour is sufficient to see and enjoy the Lan ha bay

Except the 35 min late in morning pick up in Hanoi (told me to be ready at 7:20, didn’t come till 7:55. I suspect it’s bc I lived very close to the office), apart from that, everything was excellent! The guide Ðǎng for the bus from Hanoi to Catba port was very friendly and professional. The guide Duong of the cruise is an excellent person! He has a lot of enthusiasm, is always helpful, patient, knowledgeable, friendly. He’s really a highlight for this trip. Apart from the guides, the activities were great too, the kayak, diving from top deck, swimming, making spring rolls, meals, room, fish massage, bike or EV ride, it’s great and worth all the money.

It was an amazing trip and the crew was just awesome made the trip perfect ! The rooms were comfortable and cozy, the food was delicious. The itinerary was so much fun, kayaking, swimming, cooking class, cycling, squid fishing and just chilling and chatting with the other guests. The whole experience was made even better by Duong. He was a positive man and a lot of fun. Thank you again for a wonderful cruise !
