Had an absolutely magical experience with Bing as our tour guide today. Great fun swimming in the water and jumping off the boat, an excellent cooking class, top notch food and to top it off the kayak trip to see bioluminescent plankton was absolutely phenomenal. Bing was very funny and helpful the whole way and gave lots of interesting information about the area and the local people. Would highly recommend.

This boat trip was one of the most amazing experiences of our entire journey through Vietnam! ❤️ We explored the breathtaking beauty of Lan Ha Bay, kayaked between spectacular limestone islands, and witnessed something truly magical – glowing blue bioluminescent plankton lighting up the water at night! We were also incredibly lucky to spot a family of rare, critically endangered Cat Ba langurs in their natural habitat. Such a special and unforgettable moment! A huge thank you to our wonderful guide Tiger! He was absolutely fantastic, full of energy, humour and enthusiasm. We had so much fun with him! He genuinely cared about making our experience special and went out of his way to show us the most beautiful and interesting places. We would also like to thank Bing, who showed us the floating fish farms and shared fascinating stories about the everyday lives, traditions and culture of the local people living in Lan Ha Bay. These authentic moments made our journey even more meaningful. We came home with beautiful memories, unforgettable experiences and an even deeper appreciation for nature. On the first day I was a bit disappointed as we went on a really small and old boat and it did not look like the pictures. But we had a good fun day and our guide was excellent. In the evening we transferred to the bigger boat which was more luxurious and really great. The rooms were very comfortable and large (we were lucky we were on the top deck) . The food was plentiful and tasty and our guide Moka was so lovely and patient and kind. The trip is good value and being a smaller tour we got to meet and chat with the other passengers which maybe on the bigger boats you dont get that experience. I would book again. It was great

Everything was great and well organised. Plancton was our favourite part, such a unique experience! The night on the floating village was fun, we divided to wake up at 5am to see sunrise and it was so worth it! It was chill and got to know other participants as well! It was 7 of us and then 4 for the night on the village (it is 6 max for the village I think). Tiger was a great guide! The agency even helped us book a bus to Sapa (and definitely best price we could find).

My friend and I went on a boat tour in Lan Ha Bay where we saw luminescent plankton in the evening on a kayak trip. It was a beautiful and memorable experience. Our guide, Bing, was friendly and helpful and good at telling about the daily life in the floating fishing villages. We can definitely recommend the tour.

This tour was so good! Everyone in the company was super friendly. The night plankton was out of this world. Overall we did 3 kayak trips. Home cooked meals with the home stay. I felt like it was heaven on earth Tour guide Bing left a new friend!

Just completed the 2 day Lan Ha Bay cruise with plankton excursion through Green Trail Travel in Cat Ba and it was absolutely excellent! Our guide Thai (Tiger) was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable, motivated, and genuinely happy to be leading our tour, which created such positive energy that spread to everyone in the group. We visited Monkey Beach where we actually saw monkeys, experienced the beautiful plankton excursion, and stayed overnight at a floating homestay which was a truly unique experience. The kayaking through caves was awesome, and we had opportunities to swim at other beautiful beaches afterwards. What made this tour special was that nothing felt rushed like most tours do, and Thai took us to quiet, peaceful spots where we were the only tourists. Green Trail Travel delivered an outstanding experience that I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

What an amazing trip swimming in the bays, having dinner on the boat and kayaking in the dark to see the plankton. A trip for the memories. Highlight of the trip was the lovely happy Tiger! We did the night kayaking with bioluminescent plankton. It was so cool! Even though it wasn’t peak season, it was still so magical. Jack was an excellent guide, sharing so much neat information about the history, culture, and nature that made it really great experience.

We did the night kayaking tour, and it was an absolute blast! Driving out into the sunset through the beautiful nature of Cat Ba would already be worth it, but being able to swim in the fading light, getting a huge variety of options for an amazing dinner, and then going for a long kajak tour in the pitch-black darkness makes this tour an all around highlight of our stay in Cat Ba. Everything was made even better by the incredible guide, Mr. Tiger, who made sure everyone had the best time throughout the entire evening! After dinner, he expertly led the tour through the darkness to the bioluminescent plankton, which was a beauty to behold. Getting to experience the sparkling plankton at night should be on everyone's bucket list! We can highly recommend the night kayaking and applaud Mr. Tiger for making sure everyone had an amazing evening - don't miss out on this opportunity if you're in Cat Ba!

We did the two-day cruise and stayed the night in the riverhouse (kayak rental). Both guides did a really good job in welcoming us and learning us things about living on the water. Also, great food ánd we saw luminiscent plankton! Would recommend!

Our vacation on the cruise was very nice. Tiger, from the office, helped us a lot, he was always answering us to our lots of questions. What a great 2 days we had on the ship and in the bay! Ofcourse the fantastic view of the bay, but the delicious food, the guide, the very good care od the staff was great! Special thanks to Mr. Sinh who found time the day after to meet in the harbor as we forgot some stuff on the boat, really appreciated!

It is truly disappointing that an experience in one of the most beautiful and iconic places in Vietnam was ruined by an operator who showed a total lack of transparency, honesty, and respect toward their customers. We had been told that the group would consist of 25-30 people, while there were 38 of us. The change of boat was not clearly communicated to us, nor were we shown the boat originally planned. The squid fishing that had been promised to us was never carried out. The two boats used were extremely old, and the tour turned out to be a mass experience, overly touristy, and far from what had been sold to us. As if that were not enough, I even found a cockroach in the room. But what I find even more serious is the operator's behavior. After providing us with incomplete and misleading information, he did not respond to my messages and did not even show up to meet me and apologize. No explanation, no assumption of responsibility, no respect. His lack of honesty and professionalism turned an experience that should have been unforgettable into a deep disappointment. For the sake of intellectual honesty, it must be specified that we were granted a 20% discount. However, this does not justify what happened in any way. The problem is not financial, but concerns professionalism, transparency, and respect for customers. It was the worst experience of our trip to Vietnam, and the fact that it happened in one of the most wonderful and iconic places in the country made everything even more frustrating. Such an incredible place deserved an experience to match, not a tour organized in this way. I sincerely wonder how an operator that behaves like this can have so many positive reviews. I strongly advise against this tour operator.

Very cheerful guide. Quite a few activities offered and good organization. The spots are well chosen because they are not too crowded. Evening cruise on a fairly old small boat. High-quality food. Small group of young people when I did the cruise.

Very nice activity! Out kayaking in the dark, we saw a lot of plankton. It was safe and our guide Tiger was really good. Our children particularly enjoyed being able to jump into the water from the boat.

We had a superb experience! Bing is an extraordinary guide whom I recommend without hesitation. He listens to the slightest question and shares very interesting information throughout the excursion. A small downside regarding our room, which had no water. We were therefore unable to take a shower after an intense day in the seawater. Nothing dramatic, but it is a point to improve for future excursions. We had also booked transfers between Hanoi and the boarding location, then on the return to Ninh Binh. Overall, everything went quite well. I highly recommend this experience!

We had an amazing time with Cat Ba Green Trail Travel. The scenery was breathtaking, the organization perfect from start to finish and the lunch to fall and very hearty! We were also able to visit a floating village and its farms in grouper. Everything was perfect, I highly recommend!

Really unique experience! A sunset ride with typical dinner right in front of the karst rocks! The bath with bioluminescent plankton is something you can hardly describe. Not to mention the enthusiasm of our Tiger guide .. fabulous!!
