We had an amazing 3 night stay at this posh hotel and we’re sad to leave. A quick grab ride to Sunworld, easy walk to old quarter. 25th floor rim flow pool and pool bar offer the most amazing sunset views.Hotel Staff are amazing and became our personal tour organizers, wouldn’t hesitate going back
We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it overall. The location is excellent—within walking distance of various places. It is a pampering hotel with a great spa and a wonderful pool on the 25th floor overlooking the rugged landscape. The staff is attentive and available. Our room was spacious and clean, featuring a pleasant balcony. The only thing that could be improved is the vegetarian variety at breakfast. The meal is extensive and filling 😀, but there are no vegetarian options among the hot dishes. You can order something and they will happily prepare it, but it takes at least twenty minutes—so keep that in mind if you are vegetarian.🌱
The Watson Premiere Review
In the first week of Sept 2026, I had the privilege to stay at The Watson Premium Halong Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel staff, food, location, kindness, accommodations, pool, lobby, and gym were truly amazing! I was traveling solo and after some long travels I decided to relax and enjoy some pleasant R&R, well my experience was beyond my expectations! And the views from the rooftop pool and bar were amazing! Its truly a MOST DO!
Let me first by saying thank you to some people who were truly helpful, gracious, welcoming, and willingness to helpful and warm:
• Jenny Pham (Pham Thi Sao Bang ) was my main point of contact and is the manager, (insert Tommy Tutone the song “Jenny” 😊
• At the main desk - Huong and Ngan
• Restaurant - Huyen Trang
They also helped to organize a ride out and back to the boat cruise for the say of kayaking, etc. The driver also drove me one night when I wanted to go to Bai Chay beach.
All these team members were so helpful with their suggestions, willingness to help with any question I may have regarding logistics, ideas to do such as food, spa, outing, and more.
And of course there was Jenny! From the moment I arrived she recognized my face and walked up to me and greeted me then gave me her WhatsApp account so I could contact her with any questions, concerns, or ideas and times for activities. She even helped suggest for a day boat ride to Hạ Long Bay which I was able to do kayaking, hiking into the caves, going swimming at the beach and of course taking in the beautiful mountains arising from the bay, it was beautiful! When I talked to Jenny on where I might go next, she suggested a few nights in Hanoi and even gave some ideas of the top sites to check out! Jenny then organized the bus to Hanoi which let me out to the location where I was going to be staying. Thank you, Jenny, for helping with this wonderful trip!!!!
If anyone is thinking of going to Hạ Long Bay, I could not recommend this hotel enough, it was truly and above and beyond experience!
The Watson is quite spacious and airy, with a modern and upscale design. The lobby on the first floor has plenty of seating where you can relax while waiting for check-in, and the check-in process was quick and easy.
The hotel is right in the city center, so it’s pretty convenient to get around, visit nearby attractions, or find seafood restaurants. My room had a nice sea view, and sitting on the balcony was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The room was spacious and had all the basic amenities I needed.
The price was also reasonable, especially for families or groups of friends. The hallways are quite wide but feel a little empty, so adding some decorations or artwork would make them feel more welcoming.
The breakfast area is spacious and has a good variety of food. The quality was decent overall, with enough options to choose from. The infinity pool is quite impressive, can enjoy the panoramic views of the surroundings and the sea while swim.
Overall, I had a pretty good stay here. A comfortable option if you’re looking for a centrally located hotel at a reasonable price.
Had a really great stay at The Watson Premium Halong Hotel! I originally booked a Suite Room with a panoramic view, but was pleasantly surprised to get upgraded to a Family Suite. Even the bathroom had a city view, which was such a cool little detail.
The hotel also has an infinity pool, rooftop bar, fitness center, and kids club. Breakfast was another highlight, with a classic buffet spread offering a mix of local and Western options. There were rice dishes, fresh salads, cold cuts, freshly baked bread, and even a live cooking station. My favorite was the porridge with flavorful condiments, along with fried eggs and hot noodle soup. And of course, there were some sweet options to finish breakfast.
But honestly, the real highlight for me was the view of Halong Bay from this hotel. It was beautiful, especially from the room. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, and overall it was a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again!
